Went for the US Open final. Ordered the crispy chicken sandwich without bun. Server offered choice of salad or fries. Because the menu indicated fries cost extra, I confirmed twice it wasn't the case. (Was served with bun and sent it back to replace with the lettuce wrap I had been offered ). When the check came I was charged 4$ for fries. Of course I questioned it and the server acknowledged she had told me no extra charge. Out of the blue a guy came over holding the menu. Started to tell me fries are extra. I told him "ask your waitress." He attempted three more times to "explain to me". Each time I repeated "I don't need you to." Went to check out the WBC game between Puerto Rico and Italy. This is definitely a sports bar with a great brunch menu. Most of the TV's showed the Premiere Football league so the only tv that showed the baseball game was the covered entrance. No sound but the place made the best of it. The only issue was the entrance door. Since there was a small ramp leading into the place, the door kept getting stuck so you had to physically close it. This is a review for a Friday afterwork. I decided to try this place because I hadn't tried it yet and they had happy hour. I arrived first and sat at the bar. James, the bartender was nice and knowledgeable. I ordered a happy hour mule, but something seemed off with the drink. I asked him what type of ginger beer was in the mule? It was fever tree, which is one that I drink regularly. I asked to see the well vodka and was informed it was new, and i was like I never saw that brand before. I tried a rum and coke next, and that didn't taste much better. I decided to leave the happy hour mixed drinks alone and get a glass of wine. You can't go wrong with wine. I ordered the Montepulciano, and it was delicious. My friends and I moved to one of the high-top tables towards the back of the restaurant. We decided to try some of the happy hour bites. The beef sliders were good, I didn't really enjoy the loaded tater tots or the truffle fries. I would go back to the venue and try some other food options. My friend was visiting out of the country and only had one day left before she went back - a freaking rainy Sunday. She really wanted to do brunch with me, and hash browns, which I learned are a super American thing. The Fox had been on my list, and I could have SWORN one of their online menus had hash browns, so we trudged over there and opted to sit outside, covered by the awnings in a strategic spot where the rain couldn't touch us no matter what. THEN discovered the brunch menu did not have hash browns. That's fine. They DID have home fries. I always forget that she's a vegetarian, but they had a vegetarian omelet for her, and I got the shrimp and chorizo omelet. At $16-$18, these are some expensive omelets. While good, was it $18 good? 1 star gets knocked for the exorbitant pricing. We also opted for the $20 bottomless brunch mimosa thing, though we each had to get it separately (you can't share; and while it's a GOOD price for bottomless, we wanted to recoup those damn omelet prices lol). The drinks were tasty though! Since it was a rainy, gloomy Saturday, there was no wait and plenty of seating, which we wanted, and staff was down to earth and attentive, especially with the bottomless drinks. I came here for happy hour which lasts until 7pm. On a Wednesday, it was pretty empty when we first arrived but there were a half dozen or so parties by the time we left. For happy hour, they have $10 cocktails and $8 well drinks, as well as beer, wine, and food specials. I got a moscow mule. It wasn't served in the typical copper mug. It wasn't too sweet which I appreciated but could've used a bit more ginger beer. To eat I had the mozzarella sticks which arrived piping hot. They were nice and crispy with very stringy cheese. My friend got the vegetarian chili. It was a large portion size and she enjoyed it. Our server was kind enough to ask if we wanted to put in another order before happy hour ended. Came here on a Sunday to watch football. The service was terrible. I watched my server take at least 3 cigarette breaks while we sat there waiting to order. He checked on us all of 1 time. The bus boy was more attentive than our server was. He packed his things and left without even telling us he was leaving so we had no idea who to ask for the check. I'm giving this spot 2 stars because I've been here multiple times and continue to have the same issue. Theres a short man who I think is one of the managers and he always has an attitude. Just grumpy and rude to any questions we asked. I like a good local sports bar that plays most sporting events, especially since it's close to my home, but I'll likely never go back here again. The food isn't that great and it's pretty expensive for the quality, but I like supporting local spots regardless. The space is well lit with multiple TVs, including an outdoor patio space too if you'd prefer that. My girl and I went there to watch a basketball game, but this guy completely ruined the energy and we just decided to leave. This isn't the first time I've come here and dealt with this particular employee, but as long as you avoid him, the place is pretty chill for watching the game. The Fox really needs to replace that gentleman because it's kinda ridiculous that he is so annoyed while at work. I hope he gets the support he needs. read more

We ordered off the regular menu rather than the bfast special menu. We had the chicken mushroom burger with cheese but add lettuce and tomato. The side of mixed greens comes already dressed which typically ruins them but at The Fox they were dressed perfectly. The Turkey chili is delicious (though kidney beans in place of the cannelloni beans mentioned in the menu and there was a bit of sour cream added which is not listed in the menu). This is my favorite sports bar in Harlem! Multiple TVs showing multiple games so everyone is happy! I've come multiple times but this time I remembered to take pictures! We were beyond disappointed by our experience at The Fox last night. We ordered two drinks (+waters which we had to ask for again) and it took 20 minutes to get them. We were waiting for them to apologize for the slow service and the apology never came. We ordered two more drinks and that was another ten-minute wait. Luckily, the one food item we ordered came quickly and was good. Our last drink order was a beer which took another ten minutes. To top things off, a TWENTY percent gratuity was automatically added to our bill. For five drinks, a salad, terrible service, and no apology.
