Poor management. Tried to get in. All tables empty except two. Tons of people waiting. One poor waiter trying to clean up a spill. 7 people behind counter doing nothing to help. Went to Hunan next door. Seated with menus in 30 seconds. I have updated this review. The owners were nice enough to email me and have me try again. So we went back during the week. I had one of their specials, which was shrimp/scallops over linguine and it was quite good. I forget what my wife had, but it was enjoyable as well. Best local pizza hands down and I can't complain about their $5 subs. My favorite is the eggplant parm which is on great bread and is enough to share with 2 people. You really can't get a better deal anywhere and definitely not at subway. I recommend getting a large cheese thick crust pizza if you really want lots of special dough... Our family friends from out of town love it and always ask for it when they come to visit. Its so doughy and thick with lots of dough bubbles. I don't order delivery as it may take too long. Been coming here regularly for years. Really can't complain about anything. Its a local casual spot so don't expect anything beyond that. If you come or order here, stick to the pizza or subs. I LOVE New Haven pizza but I actually order from here regularly more regularly. And I rarely give anything 5 stars! read more

Very good pizza and rolls. The sub I ordered once was surprisingly plain. Not that it was bad, but the bread just wasn't the same quality as the rolls or the pizza dough. I've eaten there once and while the food was good, the service did leave a little something to be desired. It took quite a while to get our check and drink refills were also a little slow. Of all the times we've had takeout from here there are only a couple disappointments that come to mind: First, although the cookies in the counter by the register look good, I'd suggest keeping away as they were actually really disappointing (dry, crumbling). Second, there was one time I placed an order and it seemed (although no one came out and said this) that one of the items I ordered hadn't been put in the oven with everything else so they had to hurry to make that, which slowed things down and the other food just sat there while we waited, but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that was just a fluke. In short, good for takeout, just don't get the cookies. read more

Wilton Pizza is a town staple! Great for take out but very cozy inside (or outside in the summer) to enjoy a glass of wine with dinner. Service is very friendly and the food always arrives hot and in good sized portions. I always get their pastas - penne vodka and linguine bolognese are my favorites. Come in on a weekday for their dinner for 2 special - two apps, two entrees and a bottle of wine for $30! Try the zeppole for dessert (fried dough ball dusted in cinnamon and sugar). read more

As much as I love this Wilton restaurant, the service is incredibly hit or miss. I've gotten a free extra order of their fantastic rolls on some occasions for being nice while on others the staff has intentionally given away my pizzas to other customers. (I wasn't even late!) Given the number of other takeaway pizza places in Wilton Center, go to one of those instead if you're in a rush. read more

I have tried to like Wilton Pizza, but continuously get disappointed. I ordered a chicken parm which I didn't realize till I got to my office, that they melted the cheese but left the chicken cold. I've walked in here with 3 people at the counter, the staff of 5 walking around in the back and ignoring me and I walked out. Yesterday we had Margarita pizza with bacon, again very disappointing. Unevenly cooked, globs of cheese in some area, omissions in others and burnt in some areas. This place has a small kitchen, and when I look in the back from the counter everyone's walking around, not accomplishing much. I believe the waiters and management need to step up , better service at Subway's next door with fresh, crisp sandwiches and attentive service!!!! read more

Bad execution, bad listening and ok food. After being a loyal customer for 12+ years, I am extremely disappointed with Wilton Pizza specifically over the past year and a half. I gave them the benefit many times because of a variety of factors that were happening in town. But, after a series of sequential bad incidents ranging from horrible delivery issues (2 hour delivery of cold pizza after a estimated one hour), to major mix ups on orders ... to the most recent where i was told my Living Social voucher was for 'dine in only'... and as the manager told me that "the last time they already 'did me a favor'"... the manager honored the voucher... only to completely 'f' up my order. I got it... So, we will NEVER visit Wilton Pizza...and based on their business ethics, quality, execution and service... I am confident that they are in charge of their own destiny. This was my hangout when I lived in the nutmeg state. My wife and I used to come here atleast once a week. I love their pizza and breadstick but they also have some good pasta dishes. Every dish is named after a famous Jazz Musician. If you love Jazz than you will love Wilton Pizza. They have live Jazz Music during the summer months but one of my favorite memories of this place was during Christmas holiday. I came to Wilton Pizza and few days before Christmas and had my favorite pasta dish while listening some Jazz music and it was so relaxing. This is a must stop whenever I visit Connecticut. read more

Have been coming here with my cousin for many years. We come more bc it's "our spot" versus coming for amazing food. The pizza here is tasty and there are lots of different varieties and toppings to choose from. Every pizza can be made gluten free, which is great! The gluten free crust is obviously not as delicious as their "real" pizza, but it is pleasantly crunchy unlike most sad floppy gluten free crusts I have encountered at other places. Salad was fresh but the gorgonzola was cubed, not crumbled, which struck me as odd. Cute little outdoor dining area. The coffee was disgusting...way too strong and not fresh. Adding a ton of milk didnt even lighten the color, pretty much undrinkable. Granted it was 2pm but if you are going to serve coffee you should just make a new pot instead of serving old sludge. We will still always come back here though for the nostalgia and yummy gluten free pizza. Have never been here for their famous live music evenings, but I hear it gets very crowded and lively. read more

A good, solid slice of pizza at a reasonable price. The restaurant is a bit fancier than the pizza, but when I stopped in for a lunch one Sunday during a drive through western Connecticut, I had a good, classic slice of pizza. I live in Wilton and am hard pressed to find a good pizza place. Wilton Pizza provides great food, however, after tonight's experience, I will be looking for another place for pizza. First and the main point, we were charged higher prices than the listed prices on the menu. According to the server, prices were raised in the system, but the menus haven't been updated. This is a serious problem of false advertising. I don't have issue with prices being increased, however, you have a responsibility as a business owner to inform the customers of the increase before charging it. Second, we were a party of six. Our order wasn't complicated, 3 pizzas and garlic knots. At least 2 other groups that came in after us received their orders before us. Third, as a party of six, automatic gratuity was added at 20%! I think this was very presumptuous, especially since the service could be better. We never received refills on our water and we were in the restaurant for over an hour (5:30-6:40pm). Overall, I think the prices of pizza in Wilton are very high and should be spectacular. The pizza was very good, however, the restaurant experience was not. I'm sorry that I must find another place to frequent. read more

I have to say honestly that this is the best pizza I've had ever. It's very crispy and has great toppings and some things I've never heard of before that go very well with tomatoes and mozzarella. My date and I had a medium pizza that was half and half. The first half was plum tomato bacon garlic and mozzarella, and the second was plum tomatoes mozzarella garlic and sausage. I don't usually gush over restaurants, but this was way way beyond what I've ever experienced in pizza I would recommend this to anyone. I drove all the way from Stratford to Wilton and it was a half hour drive. I'd make that drive again in a split second for this restaurant. Gregory is the nicest person and talks with you about all the different toppings and types of pizza and suggests specials. Do yourself a favor and get there. I'm sure you will come back, I know I will be back really soon. read more

I had 2 slices for lunch. They make their own dough and it's terrific. The pizza crust was just the right thickness and I put on my own hot pepper flakes. They heated it up and I ate it within 5 minutes so it was still hot. I would highly recommend the Pizza. It was just right. I really don't understand any of the negative comments. I've had the soups which they make and they are very good. The soup comes with a warmed dinner roll that they also make. It's also very good. read more

Keep your expectations very low here on service and food quality. Most recently we walked in on a Friday night to order a take out Pizza and were told they "had some already baked and ready to go". We said no thanks and please make one from scratch. Within 5 minutes the Pizza appeared (clearly a re-heat special) that we reluctantly took (big mistake). Clearly that Pizza had sat for hours and had a rubber-like texture and no taste. A week later when I returned to order something else and express my concern, I was immediately met with hostility and indifference by the adolescent order taker. I asked to speak with the manager and was met with the same indifference by an elderly man with an Italian accent. The staff here is an amalgam of kids and fringe characters who clearly have no sense of customer service and quality. That I can only surmise, unfortunately, is clearly the attitude of the owners. I invite the owner to speak with me in a professional manner and see if customer retention is important to him by making good on that substandard Pizza he sold us. This will be an odd review, because parts of it are very good and parts of it are very bad. Of the three pizza places I've tried in Wilton, this is the best for pizza quality. Furthermore, if you call them and talk to a manager/owner, they're very nice and try to be helpful. OTOH, when I've ordered online there have been problems. They run their online ordering through OrderSnapp and it just doesn't work very well. There are two other pizza parlors connected through the system and it's easy to confuse one with the other. Despite the nano-second nature of the internet, the orders don't seem to reach the pizza parlor quickly. If the internet system a restaurant uses doesn't work well, drop it and try another. So, two stars, sadly. The pizza's good and the owner seems like a good guy. But for ordering and delivery, deal direct by phone or use a different place. read more
