There aren't a ton of places to eat in town. And, having spend a half-day fishing Burt Dam for trout and steelhead already we were getting hungry. Wilson's was one of the few places in town open (and that we could get in and out of quick). Fortunately, we had the entire place to ourselves. This place is super laid back, affordable and offers average food, mainly pizza and subs. There's no fresh brewed ice tea or fountain drinks. All are bottled. Personally, I started with a sub and was impressed to see they hand sliced the turkey, salami and pepperoni. It blew away anything you'd get at a Subway. The sausage sub was interesting. We expected sausage and peppers/etc. Meanwhile, it came sliced like a prime rib and they wanted to put mayo/greens on it. It was ok. As for the pizza, they advertise dough made in house daily and we did notice that (at least the meat toppings) are sliced fresh. The pizza, on the other hand, didn't impress or disappoint us. It was regular pizza, which is suitable for anglers looking to warm up and fill their bellies. By the look of the decor and number of tables in the restaurant it's clear most of their business is take-out. Keep in mind you can order slices, too. read more

I noticed there was a local pizza place around the block from our house, so my husband and I walked over during his lunch break. It's in a converted house. The inside is decorated with Grateful Dead posters and photos. There are a few tables inside, as well as a small patio with two levels and a few more tables. We each took advantage of the 2 slices and a pop for $5 deal. The slices were really big like 4 or 5 x 5 or 6 inches. I very much doubt our leisurely stroll put a decent dent in our calorie intake. Good value, okay taste. The sodas are Pepsi products. Sadly, no cherry Pepsi, at least not today. All in all, it's a nice pizza place for locals. This is my favorite pizza place in the area. The pizza is perfect. It's the gooey kind. If you're into that, this place is for you. When we first moved to the area, my husband tried to order a sub and they told him they only had Miracle Whip and no mayo. I'm pretty sure they carry mayo as well now though. Wilson's is the best pizza place ever. My brother races go-karts and they sponsor him so we are really good friends with Wendy and them. I'm in love with Wilson's, I grew up on it and I hope that when I have kids they will love it also and grow up on it. Went in today after seeing how great the prices were on thier website. We ordered 50 wings and they were supposed to be $32. I went to pick up my order and it came to $45. I questioned how much 50 wings cost and the girl says oh they're $42 plus tax. I showed her the website and explained that we came in because of the great prices. The girl just handed me a paper menu and said that she had changed the prices. There was no apology or any simpathy. I'm sorry but if you post incorrect prices online you should honor them. I hate giving negative reviews and rarely do it. This is just horrible customer service. The wings were decent though. read more

Great service and food. The salad had a great combination of pepperoni, tomato, and cheese that tasted amazing. The service was great; we were eating when the shop closed and the lady there told us not to worry. We finished eating and left without a problem. The person the m there was also bring nice to talk to while not interrupting or getting annoying in any way. The pizza was great, the sweet sauce is a must have, and the wings were just ok. When I first moved to Newfane 4 years ago, this was hands-down the best pizza in town. We ordered it all the time. The crust was amazing and thick and flavorful. (I'm not a fan of thin crust.) And then about a year ago, the pizza we ordered was just...not the same. No different than gas-station pizza as far as spongy, mealy crust. The sauce and cheese were still great, but it's the crust that got me. I'm a stickler for oven-baked pizzas. And this now reminds me of conveyer belt pizza.
