This is the most honest auto repair shop I've ever experienced. I've been bringing my cars here for…read moreyears. Harris seems to specialize in Toyota, Nissan,Honda and their upgrade brands. My daughter just had an issue with her Rav 4 so I sent her to Harris. He "worked her in" his schedule and diagnosed the issue in 2 hours. Unfortunately, it was a job he declined. The repair required most of the front cap bodywork to come off and Harris said he's dinged/scratched bodywork doing this in the past. He told her to take it to a body shop, recommended one to her and told her how much it should cost. He even tinkered with the fans to get them working temporarily so she could make it to the body shop safely. Finally, he didn't charge her for any of the time he'd invested. Ironically, she had brought the car to Firestone before Harris. They diagnosed the problem incorrectly, quoted a $1200 repair, another $100 in unnecessary 'needs' then charged her $74 for diagnosis. In contrast, Harris found the real issue, was upfront about his discomfort doing the repair and sent her to another reputable place - yet charged nothing because he didn't fix it. Bottom line, you can drop your car off with him and trust that only the work that needs to be done is done - no frivolous upcharges and add ons. I've turned 3 ppl on to Harris and they ALL have the same story, Harris is the best!

May 2018: I felt my car may disassemble during driving. It has noise everywhere. Jim repaired my struct and my door regulator. 2. January 2019: I hit a deer and my sunroof is broken. Jim got a high quality used one with warranty to help me stop my bleeding. 3. July 2019: my A/C is blowing hot air and car got over heat. Jim replace both cooling fans. He also did preventive maintenance for rear brakes including tire rotation. I almost made a decision to trash my car when I moved over because back in my old place, Philadelphia PA, VW is so expensive. You turn to your left, and you hear a friendly voice on the phone. His name is Phil, and even though he's explaining something to a customer, he still nods your way with a welcoming smile. As soon as he's off the phone, he greets you by name if you've been there before, and wants to know your name if you haven't. He is busy, but not to busy to chat with you or even trade jokes while he works. You explain your need, Phil writes it down, and gives you the low down before your job even gets to a mechanic. You immediately feel like he runs a competent shop -- but he's not the guy in charge. He's just the first face. The guy in charge, Doug himself, strolls quickly into the room, explaining something complicated to a customer while he snatches up the next work order. he calls something back to one of his mechanics in the back, but you don't hear more than a muffled answer. He, too, greets you by name, if he knows you, and always asks what you need as if he is eager to get to work, and regardless of whether your request is simple or complex, it doesn't change his expression.
