Steven, the owner of Wilson Electric is the best subcontractor I have hired to date to work on my house. They're very thorough, their work is impeccable, I've had the whole home rewired since it was a home from the 1950's I had bought, added a bunch of future proofing, so conduits running through the ground to the detached garage for power walls, solar panels in the future, and ADU preparation, I couldn't be happier. The services are pending inspection but the value for all of it was amazing. You know you're in great hands when you work with Wilson electric. read more

Unfortunately the owner did not follow up and finish our original issue and we are left with a breaker box panel that is unfinished and flickering lights. We tried on numerous occasions to set up a follow up appointment which he promised he would finish the job. He did not. We can not recommend his services. This is likely my first negative review. read more

I've used Wilson Electric for a panel upgrade and to install a car charger in the past. They had done an awesome job at a reasonable price. So when I lost power to a whole wall of outlets 10 years later, they were the first company I called. I spoke to Steve and he took the time to help me troubleshoot the issue over the phone and within 15 minutes my power was restored. No service visit was required. I highly recommend Wilson Electric for a great job they've done for my projects and Steve for having the patience and integrity to help me troubleshoot a problem over the phone that didn't require a service visit. read more

If you want the best, most honest and reliable electrician that is in Lakewood and used to dealing with the city permitting process call Steve Wilson at Wilson Electric. We just had his crew replace our electrical panel and they were outstanding, courteous and true to their word throughout. I literally texted my husband, "I love this company" as they were finishing the job! Very rarely do you get this kind of caring and customer service anymore so it really stood out. You can reach them at 714-842-9700. read more

We hired Wilson Electric to upgrade our electrical panel, sub panel, ceiling fans, and install an EV charger at our new home. We worked with them at our previous home 5 years ago and knew that they did good work. The owner Steve is easy work with and flexible. Their prices are fair and quality of work is solid. We are happy with how everything turned out and would use them again in the future. read more

Steve is awesome. I called for a quote and he saved me money by talking me through a diagnosis. I'll try fixing it myself but if I can't I will definitely call Wilson electric. He already gave me a very reasonable quote. It's a company that can be trusted. I will definitely call for all my electrical needs for properties I manage. read more

I contacted Wilson Electric because I needed a light fixture replaced in my bathroom. Harmony Electric's technician Jose did a voltage check on the Positive and Negative cables on the switch side 118 volts coming out of the Pos wire, but no voltage on the Neg wire. Jose told me that they would have to cut through the drywall and replace the Neg wire. Jose quotes me $2549 to replace the Neg wire and light fixture. I thought that was way too high, so I contacted Wilson Electric. Aaron, the Wilson Electric technician did the same voltage check on the Pos and Neg wires on the switch side and there was 118 volts coming out the Neg wire when Jose told me there was no voltage. Aaron replaced the light fixture that I bought at Home Depot. Steve who owns Wilson Electric quoted me $300 to do the work. Aaron took $50 off and charged me $250. What a difference! read more

I've hired Wilson Electric for multiple jobs around my home and have been consistently pleased with the service, professionalism, and quality of work. These guys are total pros! I had three different neighbors recommended Wilson Electric to me, so I went with them. They upgraded my home service panel to 200A and installed a 50A outlet for an electric car in the garage. The price was very competitive and they handled everything with the city and communicated every step flawlessly to completion. I am blown away that such service is available these days. They followed COVID-19 Protocols and respected my home by wearing shoe coverings and cleaning up the debris from pulling my old electrical pane. At the end of the job, every single one of the workers thanked me for the opportunity to work on my home. Do yourself a favor and give these guys a call for your next project! read more

I have been wanting to put in recessed lighting for a long time so I finally did! Wilson Electric was recommended to me and they came a did a super quick estimate that came out to be very reasonable and we set up a time within the following week. They were prompt, professional, and got the job (14 lights and a new switch) done in 3 hours. It looks amazing!!! And it was right about what the estimate said it would be. This was a great experience all around! I highly recommend these guys! read more

We recently hired the guys from Wilson Electric to do a very large lighting project in our home. They installed recessed lighting throughout our entire house, replaced all our ceiling fans, installed outdoor lights, relocated power outlets, installed new exhaust fans just to name a few! They provided us a very reasonable estimate, were very easy to get a hold of and very prompt to answer any questions we had! Their crew was very efficient and professional while working in our house. They even came back after the entire job was complete and they were already paid to make a couple of tweaks we requested! Not to mention the lighting in our house looks amazing now. I would definitely hire them again! (FYI we also needed some drywall work/painting due to some of our light fixtures being removed and walls needing patching etc. and their drywall guy is great too! After it was done you couldn't even see where he patched everything). read more

This is a great company. The scheduling was easy and they arrived on time with a big crew. The crew installed about 25 recess lights and two Ring devices in about 5 hrs. Very professional and reasonable. I recommend this company for your electric work. read more

I hired Wilson Electric to install a number of lights, wall switches, duplex outlets, can ceiling lights and to trouble-shoot a pool light. Major fail on every attempt. Exhibit A, Installed mini-fluorescent lights in the closet. Must be the cheapest things he could find of Chinese manufacture ($25.00 per gross). Tries to unload whatever is on his truck. The humming of these cheap bastards drives me crazy every time we use them...so we don't use them. A total waste. (Why do these lights hum? 'cause they forgot the words). Exhibit B, Wall switches. Instead of changing out a two gang box to a four gang box (As I specified), this guy placed another two gang box next to the existing two gang box about one foot away and four inches lower. Exhibit C, Duplex outlet. Single duplex outlet to a dual duplex outlet...see Exhibit B. Instead of moving some furniture, he just installed the outlets where it was easy for him to reach. Exhibit D, can ceiling light. This retrofit seemed easy enough...too easy! Installer stated that the old can was no good, so he just threw it in the attic, fixture, wiring and bulb. Fortunately, the new fixture he installed shorted out and I had to call a real electrician to fix it and remove the old one as well. Exhibit E, pool light troubleshoot. Opened up one weatherproof box by the pool, sat down, tapped his screw driver on the box for about 2 minutes, walked out to his truck and drove off. Never saw or heard from him again. He just left the box open with the wires disconnected and exposed. Turned out that he opened up the WRONG BOX. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. Moisture and sealant problem located elsewhere. You ever try to contact this guy? Forget it. Worthless workers, worthless equipment. I had to have ALL of his "work" redone by someone who cares. About the laziest installers I've ever met. read more

Do not use. They did a few jobs at my place and all of them were not done professionally. Will not use again. Also, very slow to respond. I have already had to fix a couple things they did. read more

Wilson Electric These guys are the real deal - quick to respond, and when on the job site, knowledgeable, fast, efficient, hard working, and more than fair in their pricing. Am not one to write reviews or make recommendations, and these gentlemen really deserve acknowledgement. Have had Guy out for three jobs (two different houses) and on the last visit, he was joined by Aaron - both exhibit a great work ethic in a world seemingly devoid of high standards. Brian, the owner, aims to please, and Guy and Aaron make it happen. Thank you, gentlemen. You have a permanent spot on my speed dial. [Work done: chandelier assembled and installed, installed heavy duty j-box retro-brace for extremely heavy glass ceiling fixtures, moved a 220 line in the garage, j-box repair, installed 4-motion detector security flood lights, repaired faulty receptacles, installed new receptacle into existing circuit, replaced kitchen light fixture, even found a replacement sliding dimmer tab (I had expected to have to buy new switches). Overwhelming pleased with everything they have done - these guys are the best!] read more

Spoke with Brian (owner) on a Friday and had our whole house installed the following Saturday! Customer service was insane and the service was excellent. The guys showed up on time, did the job quickly, and left our house spotless. We had a whole house fan installed and I am glad we chose these guys. We will be using them again shortly to have more work done. read more

Called Wilson Electric out again for another job of installing two ceiling fans with remote and they did a great job. Brian called after I left a message for them indicating I needed to have two new ceiling fans installed that did not already have electricity. Brian schedule Saturday at 9 am which worked out great for me since I am more available on the weekends. George installed the ceiling fans and did an amazing job minimizing the holes in the drywall to feed the electricity. Fans work great and he did a great job of balancing the blades. read more

Wilson Electric is the BEST! My husband and I bought a 1936 house and most everything was original including the electrical. As much as we wanted to update the kitchen we decided the smartest choice was to update the electrical first so our little CA Heights fixer will be here for another 82 years. We interviewed/got quotes from 3 companies (and that in itself took some doing since most companies we were referred to were either out of business or didn't return our calls.) Wilson Electric not only had the best prices but from the first contact with Brian and subsequent contact with Steve the process was a completely different experience than all the rigmarole we had gone through leading up to finding them. Needless to say, we hired them and after four intense days that involved lots of cutting new holes and pulling wires through, climbing around the attic and perhaps under the house - I don't even know how they did it because it was like an electrical tornado descended down from Zeus' fingertip (or Steve's) and after 4 magical days we had art lights in the living room, new wires, new plugs throughout, a new panel for the house and a panel in the garage. They did it so quickly and smoothly AND they kept the construction debris to a minimum - What a tight crew and one that really knows their stuff! Now getting new electrical might not be the most glamours way to spend one's reno money (a new Viking stove would have been awful nice,) but I can tell you this - that new electrical panel on the back of the house - it's the sexiest electrical panel I have ever seen. read more

We called Wilson Electric to come and install an 18 ft Chandelier in our home. However, when they arrived, they had only brought a 12 ft ladder to access our 36 ft ceiling. They then proceeded to hang the chandelier hooking on the ceiling first the connecting hook for the chandelier. Total time for that process was 2 hours. They then told us that the chandelier was missing parts and had us call the company for the missing part in which we did. They charged us a total of $150 for installing that hook into the ceiling over a period of two hours. When we got a second opinion from another electrician, the other electrician told us that the missing part was in fact the hook that Wilson Electric had installed was the missing part and he was able to install the chandelier with no problems whatsoever. I have tried calling Wilson Electric for a refund of the $150 since the part they claimed missing was in fact installed the whole time. However, they refuse to return my calls. A simple mistake that could have been avoided had the technicians from Wilson Electric paid more attention to the installation. read more

Fantastic quote. Quick response. Did what they said they would do in the time they said they would do it. Very friendly, answered all my questions. Did a fairly complex project. Once done, a couple of lights weren't performing correctly... sent Nick back to fix... turned out to be the fixture and not the work performed. Can't say enough good things about these guys... they get all my future business. Thanks Wilson Electric! read more

First job in guest bathroom seemed to go very well - at first. However we had to have another electrician (Bill at Enlighten) redo two single switch boxes that they cobbled together which were loose and not properly done according to code - Enlighten showed me the shoddy work. Also, Wilson never returned any calls regarding our second project, which they had given an estimate on. I am now glad that happened as I like Enlighten Electric much better and will have them do more work here. read more

After having called several electricians I decided on Wilson Electric. Brian who scheduled the appointment was very nice and promptly responded to my calls. Scheduling was a breeze. These guys are rock solid! They performed the work in a professional and efficient manner.

If I could work with Wilson Electric on every house project I would! We interviewed 6 different electricians, all highly recommended on Angie's List, before ultimately choosing to work with Wilson Electric. We hired Wilson Electric to rewire our entire home and garage (just over 2000 sq. ft.). The house was built in the 1930's and had no grounding and all original wiring so we ended up doing a full re-wire, upgraded panel, recessed lighting and additional options such as dimmers, security lights on the outside of the house and track lighting in select rooms inside. They did a fantastic job and were a pleasure to work with- Their prices are reasonable and they stand by their quotes- anytime there was an unexpected issue with our house in the process, the crew at Wilson Electric brought it up with me and went over all of our options, instead of just completing the work and billing me later- Their communication was FANTASTIC. Brian did all of the scheduling and was on site all the time ensuring the work was completed and that we were satisfied. The crew showed up on time and worked until the job was done- I couldn't ask for a better experience. I would highly recommend Wilson Electric to anyone needing electrical work completed on their home. It was a joy to work with such a professional team and I will be hiring them in the future for any and all of my electrical needs. read more

I just had Wilson electric install a ceiling fan and had a great experience. I called three different electricians this morning and decided to give the job to Wilson electric. They offered to do it the same day in the late afternoon and I accepted. They sent out a great young man that was on time and extremely knowledgeable in ceiling fans. His name is George and I will have him handle all my electrical needs in the future He did a great job and didn't leave a mess and didn't up charge for anything else and charged only previous quoted price. I recommend him for any electrical needs to anyone. GREAT ELECTRICIAN!!! read more

I would like to thank Wilson Electric for the fantastic job they did with wiring and installing can lighting in two bedrooms in my condo in Rancho Santa Margarita. My technician, Guy, was professional, on time and knowledgeable. All of the work was completed in 3 hours' time and I cannot be any happier. The owner is also a nice person and explained how everything would be done before Guy, arrived. I would highly recommend Wilson Electric for your electrical needs. read more

The only reason they get one star is because there wasn't an option for zero stars. Save yourself the time and money and find another electrician- there are lots out there. I hired Wilson Electric to install 2 fans, 2 ceiling lights above my shower and two ceiling lights above my vanity in the bathroom. They were supposed to remove my existing light fixture that was above the vanity and install new canned lights above the vanity in the ceiling. The person that came out to install the lights apparenty did not talk to the person doing the sales so he installed the ceiling lights and left the wiring and attached components in my wall where we were supposed to drywall. They just left the job like that. This was last Saturday. When I called them to ask them what I should do with the wires they said they had to come back out to fix it. They finally got here on Wed. and told me they were going to charge me another $100 to kill the wires or I could pay to have them install more lights above the ceiling instead of killing the wires. I asked them why I need to pay extra when this work was not in the original estimate and the owner called me back to tell me that since it was not in the original estimate it is additional work that I have not been charged for and I cannot get it for free. I didn't ask for anything for free- i just expected that they should have used those wires for the original ceiling lights they put up on Saturday instead of leaving them there and not using them and then expecting me to pay additional money to get rid of them. Also, the sales guy told me that they would bring 2 different colored accents (plugs and trims) to choose from before they install them, but he only brought one. When I discussed this with him the next time I spoke to him he said that he never told me he was going to send two. I have been very frustrated with these people because not only do they lie (and there seems to be a family feud between the installer who is the owner's son in law and the sales person who is the owner's step son) but it's been hard to get a hold of them since Saturday and I needed to get on with my construction. It's been a horrendous experience- I'm a christian stay-at-home mother of three that teach my kids good morals and values and to have this person tell me on the phone that I'm lying about what was said to me is absolutely appalling. read more
