They even gave us the peppers and garlic appetizer twice as we devoured the first serving while we waited. The food was authentic and exactly like what we have when we visit Greece. I had the lamb gyro platter with village salad, and my son had the pork gyro. They make a special sauce with Greek honey and sriracha that was surprisingly good. We met the owner, Dina, and we'll definitely be back. I love the gyros off the big spit, but this authentic Greek food here is hands down better. It's so tasty! It was maybe a tad pricy but for the authenticity and honey service, I didn't mind at all.

The first disappointment came when we realized there was no traditional lamb gyro available due to apparent lack of popularity. We had both chicken and beef "pitas." No one was a fan of the chicken. As for the beef, our consensus was that while the flavor was actually very good it was difficult to eat because it was dry and overcooked. The tzatziki sauce was very good, and the only reason we were able to eat the tough, dry steak gyro. Since we ordered in summer we expected the tomatoes to be deep flavor and vine fresh and were disappointed in the store quality this time of year when so many restaurants are sourcing local produce in season. Dolmades I assume were not made today. Again, good flavor (although extra heavy on the lemon) but the filling felt like leftovers. It was like over-cooked, compacted, slightly gluey rice. Finally, the orange cake. Beautiful flavor, but our group was split. Half thought it was too dense and half thought there wasn't a way to prevent that. Overall, four of us agreed for what we received we paid too much. And while we love to support new ventures and local eateries - especially culturally diverse menus, we all agreed we would not choose Yiamas again any time soon. Price and over all quality was two stars. The actual flavor (and I believe potential for better quality) brought in the third star. We may visit again when they reach their one year success mark. Dining early afternoon on a Sunday we had our choice of breakfast or lunch. Our server was friendly and was patient while we scoured the menu deliberating our meal. A long list of "burgers" which all can be made with beef burger, fried or grilled chicken or turkey burger. I chose the fried chicken LA Avocado and he the Cowboy burger. The chicken was frozen pre breaded style and my sandwich although large was lackluster in flavor. The burger nothing special. Both came with fries that were probably the highlight of the meal - and they were nothing special themselves. A boring review for what I consider a boring meal - reminder not to judge a book by its cover nor a restaurant by its facade.
