We stopped by The Hungry Pilot on a Tuesday during trivia night, and while the energy inside was lively, it was a little too loud for us since we weren't there to play. We decided to dine outside instead, which turned out to be the perfect choice. Watching the planes take off and land made for a unique and relaxing dining experience. The presentation of every dish was beautiful, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The prime roast dip was incredibly flavorful and one of my favorite items. I upgraded my fries and enjoyed them with cheese sauce and barbecue sauce on the side, which was the perfect combination. The beef was exceptionally fresh, and the salmon was some of the freshest I've had in a long time. The portions were generous, the food was prepared with care, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. If you're looking for great food, excellent service, and a one of a kind atmosphere, The Hungry Pilot is definitely worth a visit. read more

Watching planes take off and land while having lunch was the main selling point of this restaurant for me. I just had to check it out! A friend and I arrived around 2:30 PM. It was pretty busy when we walked in but tapered off after about 35 mins. We started off strong with the Runway Fries. My friend requested the short rib on the side since I don't eat meat. The fries were crispy and the fresh jalapeños set them off with a nice flavor. Sweet potato tater tots? Yes, please! I decided to try them out with my entree and they didn't let me down. Much better than sweet potato fries in my opinion. My veggie burger was excellent - a little sloppy, but so flavorful and filling. Last but not least, our waitress told us about a limited/seasonal dessert option, the Campfire Cheesecake. We knew we needed this and it absolutely blew us both away. It tasted exactly like s'mores! The waitress provided handmade keychains for each of us when she brought the bill over. This place had the BEST service. Even waitresses who weren't waiting on us were coming over to chat and say hello! Everyone was so pleasant. Small Saturday lunch crowd of maybe 12 customers. We Seriously, needed coats, scarf, hat & gloves because it was Extremely cold in the resturant. Both of us ordered off the menu then waited more than 45 minutes to be served at our table. Both of us order smash burgers & fries. HORRIBLE! Flew into the airport and walked to the restaurant. My friend and I were quick MY seated and had a table next to a window. Great to see planes landing and taking off. We were there on a day that the restaurant offered $10.00 sandwiches. I had the Cuban my friend the Reuben. Bothe were great. Outstanding place to sit outside and watch the jets and airplanes come and go. Outdoor seating allows you to bring your dog. The waitress brought a bowl of water with out being asked. It was the blonde haired waitress so whoever that is actually there was a couple blondes there so I'm not really sure I didn't get the name but watch out for this place. We had the best lunch today at The Hungry Pilot. I brought my 3 year old son for lunch to meet a good friend. Service was awesome! Our waitress was great and so good with my son! The food was all very well done. Beer selection was great and included good local options. Place was busy but there was not wait for anything. I've been here 3 times in the past few weeks and it is top notch every time. The servings are tasty and generous and prices very reasonable. My current fav is the cream of mushroom soup and the corn fritters. As well as the Cuban sandwich. Cannot ignore the excellent service--the first time here, I left my purse on the back of my seat as I walked out. The waitress literally came running out of the building after me to return it. They also opened the place a few minutes early for us one day at lunch. I want to like it. We've tried twice, but the food just isn't anything memorable. The meat on the nachos is just huge chunks of ground beef, there's next to no flavor. The fries with the burger were in the fryer too long and were hard as rocks. And I'm not sure if the kitchen is really small, but it takes too long for the food to come out. We are visiting from NJ and found The Hungry Pilot through Yelp. While it's very unassuming from the outside, the inside ambience was very cool. It was neat to see the planes land and take off and my kids loved it. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and there was a lot menu items that everyone liked to choose from.
