This is definitely my favorite barbecue restaurant in the central valley area. My husband and I shared a substantial variety platter with beef brisket, beef ribs, pork ribs, and Louisiana Cajun hot links. All were deliciously succulent. We were stuffed and had a box of left overs. I appreciated the craft beer menu and it's reasonable cost, however I opted for a Merlot that was matched the BBQ tastewise. We also had a crisp side salad, coleslaw, french fries and barbecue beans. All very good!!! The French fries were perfect, crisp, tender and right out of the fryer. Over all the meal was excellent, the service was very good and when I am in the area I will come again. Ps: I am from Texas and know good barbecue when I taste it. This is the real deal.!! I am honestly mindblown that this place has such a positive ranking here on Yelp, but being that it is in what could be described as the middle of nowhere, maybe that explains why. It's either starve or eat overly salted, disturbingly cold food, so I guess that in itself is enough to make this place look like a solid choice in an area that has little to nothing else to offer. We came in on a Saturday about 1-2 weeks back. We didn't notice anything overtly alarming at first. I mean the service was pretty sporadic and it was never certain when we would see our waitress (who was also the manager on that night, I guess), but we paid that no mind and tried to just relax and enjoy a nice meal after being at the race track all day. When we finally got our food, it seemed low quality and overly salted. I don't mind salt, but when every bite is more salty than savory, it's kind of disgusting. A buddy of mine also received his steak cold, and the place gave off such a horrible vibe in terms of service that he just sucked it up out of fear that there would be negative repercussions if he were to say something about the temperature. As we left, we felt all eyes in the restaurant on us. A pretty uncomfortable feeling to feel so unwelcomed as patrons, and though the restaurant cannot control stuff like this, maybe this is why we were also sat in the back far away from anyone else? It seemed to make sense towards the end of the night but we will never know for certain. Either starve or just try your luck with a fast food option in the area. Unexpected road trip treat. This is a must try joint. Casual. Friendly. Delicious. The brisket is on point. Perfect amount of fat, the house made sauce is well balanced, the bark is thin and very crisp. The flavor... I can't say enough. The onion rings, pulled pork, pork ribs, bbq sauce... all so so good. We went last night, stopping mid-very long drive and very sick of fast food. We showed up 30 minutes before closing, so we felt really bad, but I would've done anything to avoid the normal freeway stops like McDonald's or Subway. I didn't catch the waitresses name, but she was WONDERFUL! Long dark brown hair, only way I can think to describe her. She was so welcoming, even though we were some of the last diners, and showing up late. My husband and I both ordered the "Plow boy" which was SO TASTY!!! Our teenage son ordered the pulled pork sandwich, he loved it and said it was some of the best barbecue sauce that he's ever had. Our young daughter, that only eats chicken and fries at literally every restaurant that we go to, liked her food and it was only $4.99 for a kid's meal.... Crazy cheap since we're used to paying say least $10 for her meals that she normally doesn't like. It was not only a deal, all four of us, around $60 meals and drinks included, but we had an abundance of food. The hubby and I realized that we could have easily shared one meal. On our way back from Sacramento we needed a place to stop and eat. Long behold, in the middle if nowhere we found Willow Ranch. It was fairly empty when we stopped in on a Sunday so we were fairly skeptical about how good it would be. Im glad we stopped in. We ordered the fried pickles and zucchini which tasted great. Stopped here on the way back from SF to LA. The BBQ is pretty good. For me, however, there was too much sauce. I would have ordered it on the side. Also, the jalapeno popper are not spicy. It specifically says hot on the menu, so I wanted to try them, but they were very mild. Great, pleasant service though when it gets busy, you could be forgotten for too long a time. The restrooms are clean. An oasis along I-5 and combined with charging at the Tesla Supercharger across the street, it's a natural stop if your hungry and need to charge. We stopped in the swinging town of Button Willow, more for gas than food from Lake Oswego, Oregon. We decided to refill both fuel tanks, the truck and the stomach... And very pleased we did! I had the 1/2 BBQ Chicken (see enclosed picture). It was big and quite tasty. This place was very good choice, locally owned and the best choice in town for good BBQ. We have stopped for dinner on the way home from a road trip to San Francisco. I had the Tri tip dinner, my husband had rib eye steak and my daughter had kids BBQ Pork rib. They were all very delicious as we remembered. Especially the Tri Tip dinner was excellent and I wanted to give 6 stars if I could! The serving staff were very friendly and efficient. Due to the fact that the 101 is closed had to come via interstate five. Found this place to eat breakfast and the rating was pretty good. The problem was only one waitress at the time and she was good but had too many tables. Also the cooks we're not very fast as we waited about a half an hour for breakfast. Then I ordered a ham and cheese omelette but received a Denver. I was hungry so I ate it but I did mention it to the waitress. The food is always amazing, but he took all of our orders, 14 of us one night and 18 on another and everything was exactly as ordered, and he wrote nothing down, the man is a steel trap! We ordered two deep pit salads and a slice of peach pie. The deep pit was cold, probably because it sat in the window with a lot of other orders for way too long. We sent it back and it was still cold when we got it back. If I could give 0 stars I would. Unfortunately, I have to give an undeserved 1 star. The service here always sucks! There's no nice way of putting it. I love supporting small hometown business but I do not appreciate bad hospitality. You will wait a good 15minutes just to be seated even when the place is empty, and another 15-20min for the waitress to come around to take your drink order and you better be ready to order when she finally does decide to bring you your drinks because you won't see them for another 15-20min and don't even think about a refill on your drinks because they don't come around until it's time to serve you your check. If you need a fork, sauce or maybe some good o'l napkins you'll have to catch the buss boy or a random worker to get you the items you need. In our case we had to ask a gentleman sitting at the bar if he could hand us a to go box and the waitress with blonde hair and a bad look on her face only came around to give us our check. This place is still around only due to politics. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS ESTABLISHMENT. You will get better service at the McDonalds around the corner. read more

So I've passed by this place hundreds of times and have never had a chance to stop. Seeing I'm not "rushed" to be anywhere anytime soon I figured I would stop.  The tri tip is killer, brisket was super soft BUT it was reheated in hot oil so it killed it for me. I can't stand when they do this, makes it way to oily for me.  Huge portions of everything and not to bad priced and the bbq sauce was definitely right there with most other places I like. What a fantastic experience, even with COVID restrictions! Highly recommend. The service was outstanding,,,friendly, fast, efficient, and thorough. All this from a single person (greeter, hostess, waitress, bus-boy, COVID-cleaner, all of it) wearing a mask and a good attitude. The ticket said 'floor supervisor-Angela." Unfortunately I did not post any pictures because I was so hungry I started digging into everything really fast! What a hidden treasure! My wife and I came out here by accident. We were at a swim meet and drove to button willow for lunch. Just off interstate 5 at the highway 58 interchange. The restaurant was quite clean and the waitress was very engaging, pleasant and efficient. We both had steak and was very pleased with the portions, quality, and service.
