I've had 4-5 posters done here and they're always phenomenally done. Their recommendations on which frame style would look best as well as the matting has always ended up looking better than I could even imagine. Thanks so much for the amazing service and fantastic work! read more

Can't say enough good things about the team at Willow Glen Art & Frame. Being relatively new to the Bay Area, I discovered them by chance and I am so glad I did. The communication, time, effort, and quality that goes into their work was evident in the final product I received - a gorgeous set of framed photos which turned out better than I could have hoped given the ask I gave them - plus they are incredibly kind and friendly to work with. Would happily use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a get photo printer and framer in the area! read more

I've been going here for years now. Every single job they've done for me has been excellent. They have great selection of frames and matting. I love working with these guys.-- custom framing is worth the money. read more

I brought in some frames and they still took the job, just needed to center some pictures, they took the time with me to make sure I was comfortable with the end result, and the end result was really good!!! They were large frames that I got from a friend and I had no idea what to do with them but Willow Glen Art & Frame handled everything really beautifully read more

We engaged Willow Glen Art & Frame to frame two large antique posters. During the art drop off, we were very clear about our wishes for the mounting, to which the owner, Brett Thomas, agreed: full back support with two sets of steel French cleats. The cost was extremely high, but we were ok with it since we were getting what we wanted. About week before the work was completed, they called us to confirm some details. During that conversation we, once again, confirmed the agreed upon mounting solutions. Brett confidently said "Yes!" When we went to pick up the work, we realized that they, indeed, had changed the design and instead of steel cleats had installed these piddly little hooks. In addition to being flimsy, the hooks would have caused the frames to stick out of the wall, something we definitely did not want. Brett Thomas did NOT deny our conversation and the agreed upon mounting, but belligerently started yelling in our faces, insulting our intelligence and completely disregarding our wishes, and refused to refund the extra cost for the labor he has originally charged us. He flippantly tried to deduced $20 from the cost (0.800% of the total cost). Having just completed the construction of a 100% custom house we have dealt with hundreds of subs. Never have we seen anyone so rude and obnoxious. read more

I was impressed with the friendly and helpful service at Willow Glen Art & Frame. I walked into the store with a framed photo that needed some parts to be properly hung. In less than five minutes, my frame was ready to hang, and the person who helped me didn't expect any payment. This kind of service doesn't happen very often! read more

I had a small antique picture frame that they cut glass for. Service was quick and professional. Would recommend and do buisness with again!

WGA&F does excellent work in a timely manner. I also appreciate the time they take & the suggestions for the perfect frame & matting. I have many things that are precious to me & some quite old that they have framed. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

Inspired by Joseph Cornell, I've been working on art boxes since seeing Cornell's art boxes at the Art Institute of Chicago in the middle 2000s, and the first box I finished was a tribute to my grandfather, whose name was Joseph Kernell. In 2015, I made a large collage of some of my heroes, titled "Two Cents for Ray Johnson," in a 38"x30" frame. In total so far, I've made 60 or so shadow boxes. In June of this year, I decided to make another 38x30 collage, and I approached the Willow Glen Art & Frame store in our neighborhood, and they did a beautiful job of framing it. Then in October 2025, I finished a third 38x30 collage, and I was able to pick up the framed piece a couple of weeks later. I've been very impressed by the main guy at the Willow Glen Art & Frame, and I'm looking forward to working with him again. Robert (Bob) Lloyd read more

We had some canvases that needed framing, so we took them in to get done. The service was excellent, with no pressure to upsell and evident expertise. This is one of those places where you pay for good work, so it may feel expensive. The three canvases we received were so professionally done that we are confident they will last for years. We have zero hesitation in recommending their work. read more

I had a great experience at WGAF getting a large canvas framed. The size of the piece (40"x60") required a custom frame that the chain competitors wouldn't handle. Thankfully, this wasn't a problem for WGAF. I got personalized service and design support to pick the exact frame that would be perfect for my artwork. They handled it with extreme care, and the final result is perfection! This isn't a cheap option, but if you have valuable art that you want to display, it's well worth it. read more

Brett helped me get large photo prints done for a last minute gallery wall project. Really appreciated his advice and fast turnaround!

We got a 16x20 black and white photo printed and framed at Willow Glen Art & Frame to use as a welcome sign for our wedding. It was so perfect! + They suggested getting a UV-protective glass so that the photo can stay preserved. + When it came to choose our frame and backing, the gentleman who assisted us was very helpful when he laid out the different kinds of options depending on what vibe we were looking for. + They asked us when we would need it to be completed (before the wedding) and they finished a few days early! read more

On Nov 13, 2025, I gave two stars and wrote a review below: "People here are nice and communication was prompt and easy. However, the quality of our 5x7 photo paper luster print was very poor given the price being $12 for a single print. The face was washed out and the background had very strong yellow tint. The rep asked us to come back to talk to another person who was responsible for the printing during a week day, which was difficult for us. We ended taking the thumb drive to Foto Express in Downtown San Jose and had much better quality print for the price of little over $4 per print." On Nov 19, 2025, I have changed the rating to 5 stars. I had a very nice email conversation with Brett and got insurance of his commitment to providing excellent service to his customers. Besides giving me a full refund, Brett has retrained his employees and promised "our commitment to customer satisfaction always, and if its not right we will fix the issue at no cost." It is very encouraging for a business owner to take quick actions and improve their operation. I would definitely give them a second chance. read more

My daughter ordered 2 matching picture frames online and when they arrived, the glass on one was cracked. We took it to a couple of places and were told, it could not be replaced. My daughter continued her search and found Willow Glen Art & Frame. I'm so happy that she did. The owner Brett was welcoming, professional, and kind. He was able to replace the cracked glass the same day. Thank you so much. read more

I needed a name plate for a Kimono I had framed for a neighbor's birthday. I went to Micheal's and they could not help me, but recommended I go to Willow Glen Art & Frame. I went there and explained what I needed and they said they would get it done for me. I called to check the status and was told the name plate just came in and I would get a call when to frame work was done. When I picked up the completed job I was really impressed at the work they had done. If you ever need to have a name plate placed on a frame, please go the Willow Glen Art & Frame. read more

A true professional that took care of my father's funeral photos! Kind, compassionate, and great.

I came here hoping to get some wedding photos printed and framed as gifts for my parents. The selection of frames was good, but the service was awful. When we walked in, I saw the employee (maybe owner I'm not sure) coming in and out of the back door. I said hi and he completely ignored me, so I figured maybe he was busy that second and went to look at frames. While I was browsing, he was going in and out of the side room (which seemed to be an employees only area) and again I figured he was busy so decided to just chill and wait a little after I had decided which frames I wanted. I also had questions about printing and such, but he never reappeared so eventually we just left. I understand being busy, but I didn't really want to chase down the employee to get help when he couldn't even acknowledge me and my partner walking into the store. If he had even just said "hey I'm busy and I'll be in this room. Give me a shout when you need", I would've felt a lot better about the experience. I was hoping to support somewhere local and wanted to see if I could get the photos printed and framed quickly before I flew out of state, but unfortunately felt like they didn't even care to help me out. read more

Will always come back to support this place. Truly the kindest owner ever, all the workers here are extremely compassionate and you can tell they care not only about their art but their customers as well. Please support them!!!! They print an array of images, edited and unedited, they do it all. Purchase their frames to support their business, they're really good quality and beats on the big box store's frames. I got my grandparents funeral service headshot pictures here, and they came out perfect, and the service made me a permanent customer. read more

What an incredible find! I was looking to support a new local framing business to frame a collectible concert poster. When I walked in, Inwas impressed by the artsy framed posters and my confidence grew. They advised me, offered a fair price and delivered a framed poster with very high artistic quality! Customer service was friendly and excellent and the project was finished weeks ahead of projected completion date. This is my new place and should be yours, too. read more

I want to Thank You Willow Glen Art & Frame. Especially to Brett for taking care of me and my family by helping us with a portrait for my uncles funeral. This is such a great place to get your work done by an expert. I have had several items made, and while they are more expensive than the big box stores, you get the quality from an expert. This is a small shop, and you must be patient for your item to be completed, but this extra time is worth it. read more

I came to WGAF with an urgent, last-minute request that basically asked for same-day completion, and the owner still made it work. Some reviews mention inattentiveness, but honestly, I see it as a sign of how in-demand they are. Their work is amazing--our first order turned out beautifully and was such a hit with our guests that we ended up ordering more! If you're looking for great quality and framing support, this is the place. Just know they're busy for a reason! read more

I came here with two jobs: printing and framing a large canvas piece (30"x45"), and fitting museum glass into an existing frame (18"x24"). Brett's work was fantastic on both jobs. He's clearly a master of his craft, and he's very helpful as well. I appreciated how he patiently guided me and my wife through our options. He even generously offered a discount when he noticed our initial hesitation at the price. While this is admittedly pricier than mass-market online vendors, you get what you pay for. I'm very pleased with the quality of our new wall art, and I love knowing that we're supporting a local business that will stand behind their work. read more

I've had many items framed at Willow Glen Art and Frame over the years. From art photography to architectural renderings to vintage movie posters. WGA&F met or exceeded expectations on every project. They offer an extensive selection of both frames and mat board while providing expert customer service. I would highly recommend this business to anyone interested in quality service and quality products. read more

Simply the best. Great selection of framing options, and both gentlemen we've worked with in the shop have had great suggestions in cases where we weren't sure exactly what would look the best for a particular item. Very friendly to work with as well. I particularly appreciate their great attention to detail: we had a set of four prints framed identically, and every frame's wire hung at exactly the same height. This makes it so much easier to get everything lined up perfectly (especially when we want to try switching up the order of the prints on the wall!), and is something that other framing shops can overlook. read more

I needed a scan of some artwork, and Willow Glen Art & Frame said they could do it, even though it wasn't their main business - which is framing and printing. The scan was very good, accurate and clean. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars, was the long turnaround time - but they did warn me scanning wasn't their priority. So if I needed a scan, but wasn't in a rush to get it, I wouldn't hesitate to use them. read more

Beautiful custom framing work coupled with friendly customer service. Brett welcomed me to the shop and was patient in answering my questions, as I was new to custom framing. I had two art pieces, one big and one small, and Brett walked me through picking a mat border (an optional flat color area that surrounds the picture and accentuates the look) and a matching frame. When I picked up the finished pieces a couple weeks later, I was stunned at how beautiful they look. Framing adds a lot to a painting or picture, and I am really happy that I paid for the expense of getting a custom frame, rather than hanging the pictures naked on my wall. read more
