A lovely local art store inside the great mall by the movie theatre. Went in to peruse and came out with a brand new painting for my living room! A lot of great options for gorgeous paintings with reasonable prices. After I purchased my piece, they wrapped it up and gave me the pieces needed to hang it up on my wall. From start to finish they were efficient, helpful, and kind. Will def come here again and recommends to all for all art needs! read more

"Beautiful and lovely artwork! Looks great hanging on the wall. It was packaged nicely and hangs easily!

Had a great experience at Mook Art Gallery at the Great Mall in Milpitas, CA. I noticed a really cute painting of a dog in the window and decided to go inside to check out the gallery. A friendly lady at the front desk came over to assist and was super engaging and helpful. She gave us a tour of the gallery since it was our first time there and showed us various paintings from many artists they procure from. She also mentioned that they have art classes as well as framing in case you like those services as well. Overall, it was a great experience and I ended up buying the dog picture on the window for a great price. What I love: 1.) When you purchase the painting, they wrap it up very nicely in butcher paper/tape to protect the painting and also include the "mounting" you need to hang it on the wall 2.) Prices are good - 70% sale as of 12/21/2020 3.) Really friendly service from everyone including the front desk lady as well as the person who wrapped the painting for us. I will definitely be back! read more

Absolutely fantastic place! Please do not underestimate this gallery and it's original work. There are some pieces that are replicated but the artists have talent and you should take a wander through the space. The original work is lovely The team working there are also artists and sell some of their work as well. But! You would never know because they do not push you. They are super friendly and informative! Just a very pleasant experience. My partner and I went in several times before we decided on our piece and never once felt pressured. We love our piece of art and are very happy We will be back!! read more

Writing about a time I tried purchasing about 5 years ago. Long story short, my art never arrived and they didn't refund me. Eventually took it to my bank and they solved it for me. Definitely can't say I'd recommend going to a business that did this. To make matters worse, the business wanted to shame me on Facebook of all places. Truly shameful. read more

WARNING!!! Do not do business with Mook Art Gallery! We are taking them to small claims court because they were so dishonest and misleading from the very beginning. Avoid the headache and drama from Mook Art Gallery! They took over 4 months to frame our painting and it was returned back with a big black piece of lint in the "permanent" mounting!! We had an expensive custom 36"x30" painting that I dropped off to Mook on June 9th, 2021 to be "permanently" mounted, double matted, and framed. This was the first painting that we ever had framed, so we told Terrie that we knew nothing about the process. She told us to trust them because they have been in business for 30+ years. After Mook's professional guidance on the process, we chose a 2" wide bamboo root frame along with a 1" and 3" double matting to be permanently mounted. Terrie wrote up a bill for $524.40 and requested that I pay half up front, which I did without question. Mook could not find a 2" wide bamboo frame and mentioned ordering a 1" or 3" frame. I had to tell them twice, over the next two weeks, that I only wanted a 2" frame and not the 1" or 3" frame. Mook could only find a 2.875" wide bamboo frame and said that they would cut it down to 2". Mook received the bamboo frame around July 24. On October 1st, Terrie told me that they had to replace the plexiglass because it had a scratch on it. On October 7th, Terrie texted me that the painting was finally done. It took Mook 2 1/2 months to complete the painting after they received all of the materials!!?? When I went to pick up my painting, they charged me an additional 60% $590.32. The original cost increased from $524.40 to $852.52 without a notification from Mook??!! Terrie told me that she increased the price because she made a mistake on the cost the of the matting, she's adding labor for adjusting the frame size down to 2", and the original price of the plexiglass was not for the UV Non-glair plexiglass that they used. There's that old saying... "you get what you pay for". We made a HUGE mistake trying to save a couple of bucks on the mounting of our painting by going with Mook Art Gallery! Spend the extra $$$ and take your business to Michaels, or Arts and Frames Unlimited, Art Frame Studio, or Bryant Street Picture Framing, in Mt View. Avoid the headache, drama, and small claims court of a Mall gallery trying to pay for it's high rent!! No art gallery that takes pride in their work would give their customer a permanently mounted painting with a black piece of lint located where everyone can see it. Our first four visitors to see our new painting noticed the black lint within two minutes. The lack of pride in Mook's work and the used car salesman way of business are the reasons why we are taking Mook Art Gallery to small claims court. I am an American Asian and was absolutely shocked by how these Korean business owners do business. read more

I'm very happy with the art pieces that I bought here. I bought 4 pieces art and love them all.

Really liked the paintings here, the guy working here is very cooperative. He helped us select the painting in the colors we were looking for, we had a smooth transaction as well. After a week I thought the pairing wasn't going in my house so well, he was very sweet to give me a full refund even though store policy is no refunds. read more

I really liked the store owner who appears to do the framing himself. The lowest quote on custom framing I have received so far. Great price! In fact, is was so much lower than other stores that I was concerned what the quality would be like when I placed the order; to my surprise, it was very good. It is at least as good as what you would receive from Michaels for almost 1/3rd the rate. I had picked a broad 4 inch wooden frame for an 40x34 canvas painting I wanted framed. The owner offered me quite a few options along with a cloth border to go inside the frame and quoted me a sum for under $350 which included stretching the canvas. They took slightly longer than promised, but delivered in 2 weeks (pretty standard for custom framing). Great place to go for a good deal on art work, especially when you don't want the frame to cost more than the art itself. Will definitely recommend to friends. read more

Checked out the gallery a few times, but didn't see anything I liked in particular. I ended up buying art a piece from a different vendor, but got the art piece reduced and reframed here for a very reasonable price. Beatrice & Terri were super easy to work with. read more
