We were pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a restaurant. We were met with the friendliest staff and a wonderful man playing multiple instruments and singing gospel and Christmas songs. I had the club sandwich with a side of fried okra and the hubby had the chicken fried steak with mashed tators, white gravy and a side of green beans. All scratch made and delicious. 1st time here. We are stopping in with our RV earlier today traveling from California. Great circular driveway great parking lot for RVs and trailers. That said we sat down and I got regular tea my girlfriend got SWEET tea. Our server Kimberly was probably the best server on the planet, in addition to being a nurse and heard local beekeeper too. What a great lady! Thank you for taking care of me when I had a diabetic episode of my blood dropping very low. Your immediate attention with (2) glasses of orange juice back to back saved me immediately. Now onto the food. I ordered pork chops. Battered and pan fried huge thick boneless pork chops. Yummoliciousness. Homemade mashed potatoes and asked for sausage gravy. They make white and brown gravy. It was thick, cooked perfectly and quality pork. Mashed were excellent thick pieces of sausage in the white gravy. Green beans (canned but flavorful with bacon) a little salty but good. And a homemade roll. My girlfriend got the chicken fried steak. Excellent battered fresh and crispy. Mashed potatoes white gravy no pork. Green beans and roll. HUGE portions. Sweet tea was great. Saw a few breakfast plates being eaten at 1pm. HUGE portions of eggs, pancakes and hash browns and thick slices of bacon . Saw homemade burgers being served. Speghetti also looked great. Prices reasonable, HUGE portions and GREAT Service. Apparently Saturday night they are carving up some prime rib with "homemade horseradish sauce" @ 4! Dont miss out. I use to like the service and speedy service of this restaurant.. But so far they had been a bitter disappointment. we stop by today 05/23/21 at 7:20 pm with some friends and family after church and we made some very simple meal orders that we thought would be easy and fast. It took 45 mints for the first order to come out. amazingly it took 2 hours to bring the last order. The restaurant only had 3 other couples waiting for there food, the so call "manager" didn't even come to our table to apologize or at least give an explanation for why the food took 2 hrs to be served. Very disappointing with there service! Heck! McDonald's would have been faster, cheaper and mediocre, but at least you expect that from them!. Bottom line I would not recommend this place to anyone. Well as I said before we recently moved to Alma from Rogers and my wife and I have been trying these Mom and Pop restaurants in and around Alma, Willy's Wagon Wheel is a small quaint little restaurant but it packs a punch for good ole down to earth country cooking, we had breakfast and it was great, portions are so that you won't be leaving hungry, everything was cooked to perfection and the taste was delicious, coming from Rogers yes the ambience is great in the restaurants, however the ole Mom and pops you can't be the down home country cooking, at Willy's Wagon Wheel the service was excellent we were waited on as soon as we walked in the waitresses were fantastic, needless to say we will definitely return read more

Wow We drove a little out of our way but worth it. Took off one star because the exterior needed some TLC, But food was really good home cooking!!' The interior is nice with comfortable chairs, the staff were so nice and gave us extra rolls to take home! We had the chicken fried steak and the chicken, friend potatoes, rolls, coleslaw, greens, and peach fried pie.... All of those items were very good and BIG portions...we noticed a lot of people ordering the meat loaf special. $11.99, so that must be good also! Don't get take out, because you never know if the food is going to be edible. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's so bad the dog won't eat it. One time I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was awesome. I ordered it again a few days later, and it was so tough and over cooked that I couldn't cut it with a steak knife, much less chew it. I gave it to the dog to gnaw on. Another time I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and it was heated on one side while the other side was burnt. One time the food I ordered was so salty I almost vomited when I took a bite. I ordered chicken and dumplings one time and they were great. The next time I ordered chicken and dumplings it was a bowl of gravy that I had to search to find any bits of chicken and dumplings. So, if you are going to order take out, just be aware that sometimes the food is not edible. read more

It came with a homemade roll that was delicious. The service was superb, the diner clean, and the portions sufficient and I am a healthy eater! As with their other location, the Southern Comfort style of cuisine cannot be beat. Their meat is hand dipped from scratch, and this makes their dishes such as the Chicken Fried Steak so good. We had their spokes of both pork and beef along with fried green tomatoes, poppers, and cheese sticks to start us off with a sampling of several things.
