Quiet BBQ spot on Alma Hwy in Van Buren. Place is a hidden gem. The brisket and burgers were all prepared in house with house sauce and were some of the best we'd ever had. The BBQ Bacon Cheddar burger is a must have! And the brisket sandwich was perfect! House cut fries were Devine! Definitely a must of you're in the Crawford County area.

Food was great!! A little wait because they are so busy but it was worth it. All the servers were extremely nice and place had a good feel of an older Bbq restaurant. Brisket was melt in your mouth along with the burnt ends

I am so grateful that Yelp lead us to JC's BBQ. This was our first time in Arkansas and was so excited to get some southern BBQ! Yelp lead us to JC's and we are soooo happy. This is by far the best BBQ I have ever had!! We ordered so much food because we wanted to try everything!! Our favorites: the ribs, brisket and fries. We left overly full and happy.

The meat was fantastic! the ribs, brisket, and burnt ends were all moist and delicious. The sides fell short.. cajun corn, green beans seemed canned. potato salad not great! they were out of coleslaw! go for the meat and not the sides! service was great!

This hole in the wall is worth the visit. The sides were great...green beans and fries with skin on. So good! They have a variety of sauces for your meal. The meats are TERRIFIC! I had brisket and tasted all of my husband's meats. The brisket was best with sauce and was smokey, nice and tender. The ribs were just wonderful. I'm getting hungry just remembering this meal. Check it out. I think you'll enjoy it.

Then I tried the catfish... Woah.. fresh, crispy, juicy catfish. Okay. Didn't expect it to be that good but whatever. Then I dipped it in the tarter sauce - okay. Now they must be kidding me. Love Texas Roadhouse? You'll likely enjoy Colton's as much or more…read more After a day of GPS induced adventures (seriously though HOW did it decide to send us on some of these roads???) we missed lunch so were famished by the time we got to our hotel and then this steakhouse. I almost took us to Chili's based on the star count. That would have been sad! Our shared order was for a "Texas Salad" topped with a grilled to order sirloin, a side of sweet potato fries and just water for our dehydrated selves. While waiting for that order, they started us with a bucket of peanuts followed quickly with four yeast dinner rolls with butter and "honey" (not real honey by my taste) in a syrup jar. Bottom line; we ate way too much but except for the rolls and syrup it couldn't have been better. The sirloin was as a perfect medium rare, seasoned nicely and really went perfectly with the salad. Sadly, we had eaten most of the meal by the time I thought about pictures. Mea Culpa. Along with all the above, Allison took care of us well. As for ambiance, seriously think of Texas Roadhouse decor and you have a basic idea.

The steak was well prepared and tender.

Think dive bar, without the alcohol. A watch the game vibe. The fries were the best thing on my plate, and I didn't even order them. I ordered the Arts brisket quesadilla (appetizer) - this was recommended by the waitress. It isn't enough to share, or have as your entree alone, so keep this in mind for those of you who do order appetizers as meals. I also ordered a hot link, and a slice of bread. The hot link (I envisioned an earl campbell type link- smooth in texture like a hot dog) wasn't what I expected. It leaned more sausage, like the traditional Texas hot links that use a coarse grind with a casing. It was crumbly when bitten. The hot link is very very spicy- the spice alone overpowered the flavor. I didn't finish it. The quesadillas, I wouldn't recommend. I didn't finish them either. Back to the fries. The fries were the best thing to me! Home cut, cooked fresh. Unfortunately, this is my first and last visit to this restaurant. I just didn't like the food. Another highlight- the sliced brisket sandwich was good, per my aunt. I did not try it.

Came two per order. Each one had a fair sized mushroom, some roasted red peppers and lettuce. The veggies were hot and were green beans, carrots and squash. The sandwich was so large that half came home in a box. The fries were really nicely done and were piping hot and crunchy on the ends. You know how unusual that is with sweet potato fries... as soon as they start to cool off they get soggy. Prices were a little high, but the server Jenny was excellent. I asked for guidance from my waitress and she was very helpful! The special was the chicken fried steak and two sides and it looked good, but Big! Not wanting to eat that much she suggested the prime rib grilled cheese sandwich. Wow I had a salad, sandwich and sweet potato fries. I ate every bite and it was delicious! I would eat it again for sure. Being a sports bar there were plenty of sports to watch. The one thing that did catch my eye was a US flag with 48 Stars. Very cool!
