The plus: The atmosphere and theme were really cool! Aliens, Bigfoot, and bright lights made this feel like a unique spot. The negative: Unfortunately, the prices they promote and offer are not accurate. Upon looking at their own website and Facebook page, you arrive expecting to pay a certain price. Upon ordering at the POS; each item ordered was significantly higher. I could understand if the information referenced was from a 3rd party or delivery service, however the menu posted online is done specifically by Neon Moon. The employees did not seem to think it was a big deal to charge higher at the point of sale then what was posted, and became irritated and stand-offish when the issue was brought up. Food was mediocre at best. Incredibly disappointing we won't be back. read more

If you're driving along the 49 and don't know to look for it, you might miss Neon Moon. It's a fantastic discovery we found off the Daytrippers app - a small little burger joint hidden in the town of Mountainburg, Arkansas. Maybe it's because I'm from out of town. Maybe this menu is the norm around here, but the West Coast is missing out! The moon fries were sensational! As we're the fried pies! Good sized portions too. But what really got me happy-dancing in my seat was the homemade chips and cheese sauce the friendly gal at the window suggested we break our diets with, while we waited for our lunch. O.Ma.Gosh! We scarfed those down like it was the last food til Barstow! I'm soooo upset I can't get these in my town. But I suppose my thighs would go on protest if I could. There were a few other unusual (to me) choices on the menu I'd try if we stuck around, but we have more roadside America to explore. Neon Moon is going in my road trip favorites, for sure! read more

I ordered cheeseburger and tator-tots. My husband ordered cheese tator-tots and hog heaven pulled pork. Every order is prepared as you order it. Just like they advise. So please be patient - We had four people ahead of us on a Wednesday evening. Small town with one main road and a foos truck - the Neon Moon ! Super nice people, clean and very friendly. Photos of our order attached. This was our last stop on our way home from a week long vacation. It's a simple burger, tots, and sandwich. Passing through this town and found that this place is amazing. The prices were great and everything was made to order. I got the chilli cheese fries for $7 and it was HUGE. My boyfriend got the fatty mcpatty and inhaled it before I could get a picture- but he definitely recommends. read more

Very cute and yummy roadside burger stand. They have much more than burgers, but for my first time that's where I thought I'd start. Very good cheeseburger and tots, and tea! Also, they made my dogs chicken nuggets! Not far off I-49 (~2mi) in Mountainburg. Highly recommend stopping instead of a chain. Will be back. read more

We stopped here for lunch while going to Lake Fort Smith. Everything we had was freshly prepared and made to order. The burgers were delicious and cooked perfectly. Good food makes me pretty darn happy and that's what this place just did! We had the "Hog heaven sand which". This sandwich was so well put together I enjoyed every piece of it. They make their French fried fresh from potato to fries and those were absolutely delicious- side note we shared an order amongst three of us. Their apple pie was the bomb dot com. I'm excited to come back this way and see them again. They also have a porter potty available my husband said it's the cleanest porter potty he's ever seen! Lol so that makes us pretty comfortable in regards to hygiene. Don't miss out! read more

We were visiting from Oklahoma, staying at Stonewind Retreat in Chester, the next town over. We decided to drive to Mountainburg and try Neon Moon. We are so glad that we did.
