This place is always packed on the weekends and is a staple to the town. It's the place to be! The food is average except the huevos rancheros which are exceptionally good. Your food usually comes out pretty quick despite it being busy. The interior is a mix of random tchotchkes and a surfer California vibe. It has seen better days and some of the furniture and decor is a bit worn and in need of replacing or a good scrub down. Parking can be a bit tricky when it's busy so you may need to park down closer to the park or the hotel and walk. read more

My sister-in-law wanted to get out of the house so we came here with my niece to enjoy a morning away from the families we saw for holidays. I ordered their chai and it was good and hot. I also ordered one of their chocolate muffins, but it didn't have much texture to it. I was expecting more chocolate chips. The staff are kind and nice. The staff is sort of friendly. It's kind of hit or miss. The food is amazing! Especially the BLT, lemon-blueberry cake, and lattes! Yum! The ambiance is very noisy, so don't expect to bring your laptop and get any work or reading done. The bistro seating (like only 3 of them) are the best spots to be seated. The rest are tables and chairs that screech across the floor like fingernails on a chalkboard. :-) Truth. More bistro seating, less tables with non-screeching chairs, and a little bit friendlier staff would make this place fantastic all the way around! read more

This place is a GEM! Great food made fresh and a very good latte made from A2 milk!. Very friendly. NICE bathrooms. Their building is beautiful and the covered outdoor eating area has SWINGS! They served us a salad that was pure green with no wilt-y leaves whatsoever. It looked like something I would have made myself in my own kitchen except it was on a fancy plate with much better "presentation" than I could ever muster. They also made us some great sandwiches. Because I have more of a "California" palate, it's hard for me to find restaurants I can enjoy in Oklahoma, so this place will be a staple for me whenever I am in the area. I wish they did not put bacon in so many of their dishes, but it was easy enough to order delicious food suitable for a "lacto-ovo-pollo-pescatarian". The day we came, they had a one-woman blues band in the corner. I don't usually like blues much, but this woman was playing electric guitar so very soul-fully..... We happened to stop by here after watching the Great American Eclipse, which was a big event for the whole area because it was in the path of totality, so maybe the blues band is not a regular thing, but one could call and ask and maybe it could enhance your experience here like it did ours. read more

My girlfriend and I stopped off here for breakfast a couple of weeks ago, and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the service. My girlfriend had some kind of turkey and spinach egg dish which she loved, I had the French dip sub and a raspberry redbull smoothie. Both were out of this world. I have never had a better French dip sub anywhere in my life. Kudos to the staff at this place, very attentive and amazing. Just a lovely environment. It's a great environment, tables for eating at or chairs and couch for lounging and sipping on your drink. I sipped on my perfectly made caramel latte as we waited for our order. The turkey pesto panini was toasty and so tasty and then the hot deli sandwich was made exactly to order for my teen son. I stopped in for the first time, accompanied by my college age daughter. Nice, open seating. Lots of room to enjoy fellowship. Friendly staff who have a palpable enthusiasm for coffee. One of the things I'm an absolute snob about is coffee and I was beyond delighted to see they serve Topeca, which is some of the finest coffees I've ever had. I enjoyed a very nice straight black costarican that was brewed perfectly My daughter was delighted with her chocolate raspberry smoothie. The breakfast sandwich was substantial, but lacked any kind of seasoning which would make me hesitate ordering it again. A true gem of Poteau. The coffee is excellent and it's the perfect place to relax, meet with friends, study, or do whatever else your heart desires. The inside is extremely spacious and all the facilities look brand new. The staff was very friendly and even checked on me while I was there to make sure I didn't need anything. I haven't tried the lunch menu yet, but the sandwiches I did see looked delicious. They also serve wine and beer in addition to live music on the weekends. For my money, it doesn't get any better than the Coffee Cup. read more
