    Denver omlet

Server She did not say her name. disappointing! Ambiance It's a corner Cafe, located on the corner of 5th and busy garrison Ave in downtown Fort smith. When we visited, it wasn't exceptionally busy. Food Coffee was promptly delivered to our table. It arrived hot and tasted pretty good. The ham n cheese omlet arrived fresh and hot. They were out of chalula hot sauce. Lol. The omlet was okay. Quite greasy. The potatoes were cubed and tasted deep fried. Not a bad thing. Just an observation. The combined tastes were pretty good. The Denver omlet was very good. Overall The 5th street diner met expectations. The food is good but served with huge portions. The wait staff were pleasant without being intrusive. Military Yes with ID.

This new restaurant was brought to my attention by a friend of mine. So, after some Farmer's Market and antique shopping I decided to stop in for lunch. It definitely has a "cafe" feel to it. Nothing fancy but clean, which I appreciate. Considering it's a smaller restaurant they have a pretty good size menu. If you like soda made with pure cane sugar they serve "stubborn" and it was pretty tasty. So we order the chips and queso dip. When they arrived it was obvious the chips were straight from a bag I could have picked up at Walmart so I didn't have much hope for the queso dip but boy was I wrong! These queso dip was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! I would absolutely return just to have some more dip. We also order grilled fish taco and Thai style tacos. After going back to check with kitchen as to what Thai style was the waitress did a nice job explaining it. So good we ordered it. Only to be told a few minutes later they didn't have it that day. You think they would have told her that when she was asking about it. Oh well. We both got the grilled fish tacos (street style) and were not disappointed. These were seriously flavorful taco. The beans were just so so. Overall, a good visit and I'll definitely return.

Excellent food. I had brisket tacos and hubby had burger. They're stingy with refills. Had to ask for tea refill and pay for soda refill.

Came two per order. Each one had a fair sized mushroom, some roasted red peppers and lettuce. The veggies were hot and were green beans, carrots and squash. The sandwich was so large that half came home in a box. The fries were really nicely done and were piping hot and crunchy on the ends. You know how unusual that is with sweet potato fries... as soon as they start to cool off they get soggy. Prices were a little high, but the server Jenny was excellent. Definitely worth a stop if you are in town. It is a sports bar and there were plenty of locals in there for lunch also.

Parking was great, right out front on the road in a great revitalized downtown area. Once inside, the waitress seated me and took my drink order. The menu choices all looked great. I asked for guidance from my waitress and she was very helpful! The special was the chicken fried steak and two sides and it looked good, but Big! Not wanting to eat that much she suggested the prime rib grilled cheese sandwich. Wow I had a salad, sandwich and sweet potato fries. I ate every bite and it was delicious! I would eat it again for sure. Being a sports bar there were plenty of sports to watch. The one thing that did catch my eye was a US flag with 48 Stars. Very cool! If you are ever in the friendly town of Van Buren, Arkansas, I highly recommend eating at The Vault. You will be glad you did. Go get Full

We were greeted by the owners and the staff for the evening, and given a few options for dining locations as we didn't have a reservation and they had a large group being sat just after us. We loved that had an opportunity to dine at a table in the "jail" section. The restaurant was packed but it still felt warm and cozy for our date night meal. We had multiple, fantastic servers taking care of us. I didn't get to capture the appetizer, the spinach and artichoke dip, but it was literally the best I've ever had and I even make my own! It was full of artichokes and spinach and it was in an amazingly light and fluffy white whipped dip served with fresh made breads onsite and pretzel bites from a local vendor. Our cocktails and wine were amazing. Then our main course arrived! One of our waiters was new and said the filet was the best he'd ever had, and he wasn't wrong! We travel often and dine all over, these filets were cut and prepared to perfection! We took his recommendation to add the blue cheese and blackened topper and it was phenomenal! The steaks literally cut like butter and melted in your mouth! Charred Pittsburgh style, medium rare and heavenly. Placed on a bed of mashed potatoes that blended in the warm blue cheese and asparagus, this meal made me feel like I was at NYC or Chicago's top steakhouses! If you live local or just passing through like us, don't miss this experience!!! It was absolutely delicious and at the top of my list for best steaks!!!
