Good country lunch! I had the Philly cheesesteak and fries. Well-seasoned and on a great Johore roll. Fries were crispy and I ate every one of them. Hubby had the chili and it was a bit spicy for me, perfect for him.

Wall of honor. Wonderful homage to the local heroes.

Wish I could've tried that buffet everyone is talking about, but the pizza was amazing. Better yet, the staff were some of the kindest, most gracious and catering folks you'll meet. They even rounded up some broccoli by special order to add to the weird New Mexican hippie's veggie pizza, and didn't even act grossed out! That tiny town of Chester is home to maybe 50 folks, but there's no shortage of community feels in this little cafe. Stop in and see these guys and give em some good feels right back!

Kitschy Southern Gourmet! Lunch buffet with traditional southern cuisine changes daily along with large assortment of home made deserts. Great Attention paid to detail in the burgers, fries, fried okra, beans, Johnny cakes, tea, etc. New Hunt Brothers pizza kiosk supplements the traditional gourmet southern fair all day long. Open breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 7 days.

A delightful buffet tour of Southern cuisine Thanks to a couple of strong Yelp reviews, we found this small café tucked away in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. The buffet included salad, okra, collard greens, johnnycakes, a spiced-to-perfection meatloaf, and a chocolate chip pecan pie warm out of the oven, as well as a long list of items you will find on the menu board pictured with this review. All for a price of $7.00 ($8.00 for the weekend buffet)! That was a $12.50 meal anywhere else. It's a blink-and-miss-it town, so don't expect fancy trappings. But that's as good a meal as you will find between Fayettville and Little Rock.

YES! Will be back for lunch time!

The food was not very good, we will likely not return. We love breakfast on the road but not this time!

Absolutely amazing! Everything from scratch. The biscuits are the best! We had the chicken fried steak stack. It was great.

Cheeseburger & tater tots were great, & reasonably priced at around $7. This is a true cafe, I'll definitely be back.

My serving of tater tots was family sized but so perfectly crunchy I had to eat them all.

This small building is about 130 years old, and the there's a modernized 1890's vibe here, playing 1970's music overhead. I'm not sure what I liked better: my bacon cheeseburger or my slice of chocolate pie. The burger was two (seemingly) mini meatloaves, perfectly seasoned, topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. The cheese was bubbly. I found the bun somewhat weak for the job it was trying to hold together. Collapsed into itself at one point. The bacon was fine (isn't it always!), but just not my favorite. The home-made fries were potatoey perfection. My grandmother passed around 1982. If she were still here, I'd be forced to tell her someone makes a better chocolate pie than her. At least I avoided the cussing and getting walloped by a broom. The crust was buttery and of perfect firmness. The chocolate cream was covered in heavenly whipped cream, I assume homemade. Will absolutely be coming back in the Fall, for the leaf show. And a burger. And that pie. Great staff also. Very welcoming, including the owner.

This is a beautiful, small community of people, and if you're looking to meet the locals of the Arkansas Ozarks, this is the place to go. Everyone is friendly. You can buy some hot food or a cold soda. But, it's a dry town, so don't expect and beer or wine. Fair prices, and there is even a gas pump. You pay at the counter with the clerk, and tell them how much you put in your tank. What a true gem.
