Great food! Friendly staff! Ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich. The bread was perfect and the meat, onions, and peppers were all cooked to perfection, I will definitely be coming back here when I'm in Booneville.

The burger was delicious. French fries were awesome too. Had heard it was a great place to eat and it definitely lives up the reputation

Black Dog Meats is a neat little sandwich shop named in reference to my favorite dog, the Labrador retriever. Specifically, the smartest of the breed, the Black Lab. Cool décor, small inside, find a table where you can, or share one with a stranger. They offer a good variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and burgers covering breakfast to lunch. We tried their Chopper's Ruben and a side of fries. The menu description has a lengthy list of ingredients that should make for a massive sandwich. It is dressed with the shops signature Black Dog Sauce. Ours were absolutely delicious, but massive no. I am not sure everything advertised was actually on the sandwich. The Black Dog Sauce, I don't know? For 13 bucks there should have been more of the House made pastrami. The fries were fresh cut potatoes, coated and fried to a deep golden brown. Lots of those nice crunchy little potato slivers served up in a boat load sized portion. A very popular sandwich shop. To go orders were flying out the door as patrons were trying to beat the 2 pm closing. Very nice friendly service. Highly recommended. Check the menu, Black Dog Meats has got a tasty sandwich or burger for you!

Finally got to give this place a try. Inside is impressive for the area. Waitresses are super nice and very appreciative of your business. Ordered their Philly cheese steak ( to go) . On first sight thought it was kinda small for $11.00 but after tasting it , it was banging!! Ribeye used has excellent flavor not greasy or fatty. Onions caramelized perfectly. Peppers a tad bit large (didnt cook at the same rate as the onions) cheese was also good. But!! Here's where things get interesting. They use their own in-house made Black dog sauce.. it adds a interesting flavor profile to the meat.. little bit of heat but not over powering. When all the flavors come together its a winning combination for the Black Dog. This place is deff a must try!! You won't be let disappointed...

Very clean. Nice atmosphere. Very nice helpful staff. I had the Philly sandwich combo. $11. Most sandwiches are $10 or less. Breakfast. Sandwiches. Burgers. Salads. They also offer shakes and smoothies in the nutrition side. Food came out fast. Great tasting food. I'll be back.

Initially we were going to postpone to Sunday since we spent the day sightseeing however, they are not opened on Sunday. We made the drive but sadly they were already out of Ribs & Pulled Pork. We had a great server (Kaylie) and she did an awesome job in getting us to sample what was available. We ordered two Steve's Sampler which gave us plenty of options. The presentation was very good. On one platter we had Smoked Turkey & Burnt Ends,Mac n Cheese, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad. On the other tray we had Baked Beans, Okra, Regular Fries & Cajun Fries, Brisket, 2 types of Sausage and what was remaining of the pulled pork. All of which were very good. We had the Fried Pies for dessert but we only ordered 2 to share. Highly recommend the Pecan Pie w/Vanilla Ice Cream. The second Fried Pie was Blackberry w/Vanilla Ice Cream another great choice. A down side were the Burnt Ends, I found them way too salty which otherwise would have been excellent. The positives outweighed the negative. Starting with Kaylie our server, she made our dining experience wonderful! All of the sides we chose were delicious, the top picks were the Baked Beans, Cole Slaw & Potato Salad. I could not recommend because I'm not a Mac n Cheese fan so I don't know. The Okra was mediocre and if I'm choosing fries I'm going with the regular. Overall it was worth the drive from Ft Smith. Obviously I want to give a higher star rating but I really wanted the Ribs & Pulled Pork. This does not detract from the overall experience, I would still recommend going however, a call ahead before you go would be a great idea to see if they have what you like.

This small building is about 130 years old, and the there's a modernized 1890's vibe here, playing 1970's music overhead. I'm not sure what I liked better: my bacon cheeseburger or my slice of chocolate pie. The burger was two (seemingly) mini meatloaves, perfectly seasoned, topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. The cheese was bubbly. I found the bun somewhat weak for the job it was trying to hold together. Collapsed into itself at one point. The bacon was fine (isn't it always!), but just not my favorite. The home-made fries were potatoey perfection. My grandmother passed around 1982. If she were still here, I'd be forced to tell her someone makes a better chocolate pie than her. At least I avoided the cussing and getting walloped by a broom. The crust was buttery and of perfect firmness. The chocolate cream was covered in heavenly whipped cream, I assume homemade. Will absolutely be coming back in the Fall, for the leaf show. And a burger. And that pie. Great staff also. Very welcoming, including the owner.
