I really, really wanted to love this place. I came here after a family member highly recommended it. The service and employees are top notch. Our server was so friendly and attentive. The food was just so, so. Some dishes were great, most were ok, and one was just bad. The bread with dipping oil is great but a tad inconsistent. One basket was soft while our next one was overcooked and on the harder side. Two of our chicken dishes had boiled chicken?!? It was so strange and bland. Please grill the chicken instead. Speaking of boiled chicken, do not order the Chicken Murphy unless you want to be incredibly disappointed. This may be great Italian food for Fort Smith, but compared to other local places in the river valley, Anthony's is just mediocre. read more

Family dinner with friends we haven't seen in a while was a delight! The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. I had the spinach ravioli, and others had the manicotti and lasagna. Great for families and we saw couples having date night. read more

Some of the best Italian food I've had! Unpretentious restaurant, the bread and dipping oil are great, the wine pours are generous. The Romana pizza is the best - roasted garlic, onions, ricotta and mozzarella cheese with spinach. We also enjoyed the fettuccine Alfredo and the fried mushrooms. We have a new favorite restaurant! We came from a town full of family Italian restaurants. Places you can relax with delicious food at a great price. This describes Anthony's! I started with a generous pour of a tasty Cabernet. The waitress also brought out a large basket of freshly baked rolls with a delicious dipping oil. One of my wife's favorite is bruschetta bread. And Anthony's is just perfect. Toasted crustinis with an amazing bruschetta topping and melted cheese. For our main meals, we went with the parms. Chicken and veal, both cooked perfectly, and with a saucy pile of spaghetti. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and our food came out quickly and hot. Food The rolls promptly arrived and looked and tasted good. The olive oil compliment was tasty. The cheese sticks arrived hot, but were disappointing. They tasted frozen and lacked a good authentic flavor. The marinara arrived warm but the flavors are lacking ... garlic. (Can't believe I said that at an Italian restaurant) The chicken Parmigiano arrived hot with a steaming pile of spaghetti. The chicken portion was not house breaded but had a decent taste. The spaghetti was prepared well. The sauce was quite generous and tasted identical to the marinara sauce ... needing garlic. The lasagna arrived hot and tasted good. Came for the first time tonight, for date night. The hours for this restaurant is great. The portions were large and sooo filling. Our waitress was very nice and made the experience even better. The owners daughter running around And interacting with everyone really made it feel like a true family restaurants. I highly recommend the fried ravioli, chicken tortellini moda Mia, and seafood combo. Our pleasure began with a large basket of focaccia bread that was delicious!! Yes, we just HAD to have a second basket! Each of us ordered a separate dish - a seafood pasta dish, chicken alfredo, and baked ziti - and all of them proved to be very well-prepared and delicious! AND - the prices were very reasonable!! We really wanted to try a dessert, but the meals were so huge that there was no way!! We noticed one unusual thing - older adults are allowed to order from the children's menu! One word: NOPE. 1. Horrible service by a guy that had to of been on drugs. Never once refilled our drinks. He also admitted to us ( when asked ) that the restaurant does not make their own salad dressing, pasta or soup. Go figure. Not surprised. 2. Absolutely HORRIBLE food. My sister and I both had soup and salad - how do you screw up soup and salad? How? The tomato basil soup and wedding soup literally tasted like water, no joke, flavorless. The Cesar salad was drenched in salad dressing, soaked and had a weird flavor. 3. Don't eat here. It's 1000% low quality. I'm not one of those people who get off on complaining about things. The bread was amazing! The Alfredo bland and sweet. The chicken piccata was mediocre at best. The kicker for me was the Italian dressing that tasted more like a French dressing, it had sugar in it too. If you like sweet Italian food this is the place for you. read more
