A group of 12 of us dined here. Everyone was very satisfied with their meals. I had probably the best bruschetta I have ever had. My entree was simple fresh pasta with olive oil and garlic - delicious! We really liked the menu options but also that you could basically design your pasta with sauce and protein choices. The salads were well done. This is a restaurant I would definitely frequent if I lived in this area. Very nice ambience with great patio dining. First time this restaurant and we were welcomed with the bar service as well as a couple of very friendly waiters that gave us a lot of attention all evening. The food was better than expected for Italian fair in a small city. I felt that it can compete in a large metro area and had a chef that knew what they were doing. The ingredients were fresh. We traveled from NC today and planned to dine at Prima Italia for my birthday dinner. We were greeted so wonderfully by Gordon. He made us feel so special and he set the mood for a lovely evening. Vincent our waiter was amazing! The food was fantastic and everything was perfect, but it was Vincent who brought the whole celebration to the rating of best ever! Vincent sat down and like a caring teacher, he explained the menu to us highlighting his favorite dishes. The Osso Bocco he described as, "to die for!" And it was! From wine, appetizers, main course and dessert with coffee we thoroughly enjoyed every single minute and so did Vincent. He was not overbearing but very sensitive to our needs. Thank you so much for a birthday dinner that we will always remember. The ambiance is very nice. The soft lighting and candles on each table set a relaxing and elegant atmosphere. The black tablecloths and white linen napkins folded like ocean waves were such a nice touch. There were paintings and fun art in the bathroom. If you just go for the art it's worth it!!! The entire experience wish spot on great! Our server/the atmosphere of the dining room(background music provided by a former student) our meal/the care shown by the management to the overall enjoyment of the patron. We went in for dinner at 6:30. Posted hours were 5:00-9:00. Walked in to what seemed like a nice space. Dining area was pretty and clean but not a single person to be found. No one at the host desk. No one in the dining area. We waited a bit and then walked out. Music was playing and dining area was set up so not sure what was going on. Simple review: Food: good Portion size: small Drinks: subpar Service: subpar (did not offer refills on water) Food Wait time: 1 hour for entrees Total meal time: 2:15 Explanation: the atmosphere was pleasant, there was a large party there (which took all the chairs) so we were left sitting on patio furniture inside with no cushions (not comfortable). The bar drinks were flavorless. The food was good just small portions for Italian food. Long wait for food (could have been related to the party. Side note: I asked several times for new chairs, halfway through our meal they finally brought the ladies with us chairs but didn't have enough for the men. Wow -- what a culinary surprise in Fort Smith... bonus the cocktails where top notch.. worth the extra money!!

Food... The advertised menu said : amuse bouche : flatbread for the table... to share?.. Flatbread that is baked of any flatbread texture.. worse than a cracker. It was not bread. It was al Protestant communion wafers, homemade. It had not flatbread. or cracker shape. And after baking, sat, got cold, and then, "moist" toppings were added, resulting in a chewy texture, that you had to pull with your teeth to chomp into. Advertised accompaniments? Spinach? Prosciutto toasted until it was more than dead, sadly. I pulled off a piece. Flavorful. Couldn't chew it. No rainbow tomato I ever found. Truth in advertising? 2 Kalamata olives. Surprises? Pieces of onion. I have digestive/onion issues. Assiaggio duet. Poached lobster deviled egg sliders. Hmm I guess that was a piece of lobster on the egg I got, since all the Dijon in the egg overpowered everything else. Small red potato with a cream cheese mousse topped with caviar. The filling was extremely dense for a mousse (due to sitting for some time?). Spouse did enjoy the caviar. Mousse was very stout in flavor. Potato was quite Al dente. Think "cold" almost crunchy potato. For antipasti, the menu delight was the Arancini. He was disappointed with the grilled polenta (consistency of cornbread). The piece of beef tenderloin was enough for a bite. Not enough for the 2 pieces of fancy cornbread. We both got the short rib ravioli. Sauce- very bitter. I think it could have cooked down more. Short rib inside ravioli had to be cut with a knife and was stringy. Desserts were on par for what is available here. The presentation dish for desserts were frustrating to work with. The most sweet thing about the wedding cake cocktail was the whipped cream. It settled on top of the ice cubes, never got into the cocktail, leaving everything else. Should probably serve this as a frozen drink? Too much money, for what little edible food we received. Atmosphere and service were top notch. The music? I left humming... "Killing Me Softly". So glad Fort Smith has a good Italian option in town. The atmosphere is pleasant, and our waiter (Seth) was attentive and gave great recommendations on the menu. The walnut old fashioned was great, not too sweet and a slight variation to the classic. Our group enjoyed our food as well, highlights were the mi amore pasta dish, and the Pork osso bucco which literally fell off the bone it was so perfectly done. The tiramisu is the closest to authentic tiramisu I've had around this area. We will be back for sure! read more

We had high hopes about the new Italian place in Fort Smith, but the only thing going for it was the atmosphere. Service was horrible, I sat with an empty glass through my dinner and ended up going to the bar to get it refilled myself. Bread tasted like it came from Walmart. Couple of coworkers and I decided to check out Prima Italia in downtown Fort Smith after work last week. I ordered the prime rib. Both of my coworkers ordered chicken dishes. At the end of dinner our waiter noticed I did not eat much of my prime rib and asked if I would like a to-go box. My response was no and I explained to him the prime rib was very chewy. The waiter explained they had changed their meat vendor. The waiter removed my plate and when he returned I was informed that I would not be charged me for the prime rib. The chef came to our table and immediately walked to the only white person at our table to apologize for the toughness of the prime rib. The problem was that she was not the one who ordered the prime rib. As we were all trying to figure out how he assumed she was the one who ordered the prime rib, the chef was informed that she was not who he needed to be speaking with. I was so looking forward to trying this new restaurant. read more
