The food was good. The vibe was dark and moody which was nice as we were going for a romantic date. Service was fine, not bad but not above and beyond or very memorable. I called ahead to make sure we had a table and told them we were celebrating our 20th anniversary. We arrived and they had a table for us but zero mention of the celebration. As we were ordering dessert I mentioned the celebration again to our server (genuinely NOT looking for a freebie, just a little something to make it special, maybe a heart on top of the dessert in chocolate or happy anniversary on the plate, just something simple). I would give this 10 stars if I could! I absolutely love this gem in Fort Smith. If you haven't tried it, go tonight! All the food is amazing, the chef is so passionate and very friendly. The staff is also friendly and so fun. The bar is cozy and the restaurant is perfect for a dinner with friends or a date night. The carbonara, the spinach pasta, the bruschetta and the drinks are all delicious. This is a MUST TRY restaurant. I live in KC but every single time I am in Ft. Smith I take time to eat here. This restaurant was amazing. As soon as you get to the front door, you are greeted by one of their employees. Very cheerful. You walk in the door and the aroma was awesome. The restaurant was clean. The atmosphere was pleasant. Our server was extremely tentative and knowledgeable of all the menu items he made his recommendations. We picked our foods. I had the sausage and peppers which although is an appetizer I had that is my main course and I had the Caesar salad as my appetizer both were fresh and plentiful. My wife had the pork chop, which was too big for her to finish and tasted tender and amazing. I had a cocktail and my wife had a wine which were spot on. Both owners came to our table at different times and spoke with us for a good amount of time each each shall truly care about their food. Many of their food ingredients are imported from Italy. Everything is authentic as you would find in a legitimate Italian restaurant from Italy. I came to this restaurant on the recommendation of Honest America review. The staff stepped up with seating limited inside due to adverse weather . The server was very helpful answering questions about the menu since it was our first visit . We were offered different seating due to a large and loud family next to where our reservation seating . The food was very high quality and delicious such as could only be found at Piatto . The manager was very involved asking if there was anything they might do to make our experience even better . Oh my gosh, I couldn't recommend this place more! I came here for the first time as a visitor from California and loved it. The inside is fancy and super clean. Our server was soooo sweet and attentive as well. We were regularly checked up on and given refills on water. I also like how they take your food back to box it which is helpful. I had the Polpette pasta and absolutely loved it. The sauce and meatballs were very flavorful and I think all of the pasta comes with bread which is nice. I also got to try the bruschetta which was loaded with tomato, artichoke hearts, olive, and other things. The bread itself was great but the toppings excelled it. Things have changed a bit!! 2nd visit in 5 weeks, risotto was salty, bland & was unable to eat or finish. Today, grilled shrimp/spinach was same. Service was good but the waitress failed to inform us that the restaurant was out of their cheese lasagna. Bear in mind they had only been open 3 hrs and they were already out. My other party members said the chicken Alfredo was good. Since I could get what I wanted I ordered the tomato basil bisque. This should have been a creamy soup. However it was a bowl of mashed up tomatoes that looked like it came off the floor along with spoon size chunks of tomatoes. Definitely not a bisque by any means. When the owner came by and I didn't sing his praises but commented on their lack of planning to have a signature menu item available he scurried off to the kitchen, not to be seen again. Great addition to the neighborhood. Host was great fitting us in a table of 2 with no reservations on a Friday night. Sat at the bar which we preferred. Went here with friends for my birthday on a Friday night. We made reservations, but didn't really need to. We were one of three parties in the whole restaurant at 6pm. The focaccia was great and everyone at my table enjoyed their food (pizza and lasagna), except me. I ordered the carbonara and the menu states "crisp pancetta". It was so far from it. It was barely cooked, limp, and slimy. It also had an unappetizing gray-ish hue. Suffice to say I ate around it and the rest of the pasta was good, but just not what was advertised. I was also disappointed that there wasn't a dessert menu, only dessert drinks. Overall, it was fine, just do not order the carbonara and make dessert plans elsewhere. read more
