We visited BluPoint tonight and enjoyed the friendliness of the team and the ambiance of the restaurant was wonderful. It is well lit, relaxed and upscale - all at the same time. The furnishings, decor and spaces are well designed to be modern, contemporary and (comfortably) trendy. The food was high quality. We enjoyed Oysters Rockefeller and Pull Apart Crab Rangoon as appetizers. For our main course, we shared a cut of 16 oz Bison paired alongside a Wedge Salad with thinly sliced green apple that complimented the superb homemade blue cheese dressing. We also had Brussels sprout and asparagus. Our kids shared a fish n chips with Mac n cheese as the "chips!" We drank water with our meal. The drink menu was plentiful for those who enjoy alcohol - it was quite expansive and seemed to have something for every taste from wines and beers and cocktails/specialty drinks. We don't drink alcohol, so we cannot speak with the voice of having tried any of the adult beverages. The dessert menu looked nice, though we didn't save room at this meal to enjoy - we will save that for another time. The pricing was a bit more than one would normally spend in the River Valley - though the ambiance, food quality, menu selections and wow factor were all certainly outstanding and in a class apart from most any other restaurant in this area. By comparison - I would say BluPoint would compare to Oak or Ruth's Chris (both in Rogers, Arkansas and both specializing in steaks). Other comparables in quality and enjoyment factor would be Doe's Eat Place in Fort Smith and the location in Fayetteville (also steak houses). Finally - just a little below those mentioned above (in my view), I would say 21 West End and Stone House at Chaffee Crossing, both in Fort Smith would be comparable to BluPoint. Of course, the menu selections will vary from the places I've mentioned as comparable - BluPoint had two solid options for high quality meat (filet and bison), as well as several seafood options - which makes sense given their specialty. We met the chef and he was friendly and pleasant. His creations (that we tried) were very enjoyable. We paid $270, including a 20% tip for the selections described above - so definitely don't forget the wallet or you'll be washing a lot of dishes! read more

Food was truly just OKAY, we wont be going back because the price was way too high for the quality of food we got. My lobster was WAY too over cooked. My husbands steak was WELL DONE when we specifically asked for medium rare.... Don't quite know how you mix those 2 up. Didn't offer to fix it. My family and I came here per a recommendation from a colleague of mine. We were in town for a work event, including my three year old twins. They were exhausted after a long travel day. Our waitress was kind, attentive and on top of it. She quickly learned if they had kid-approved options and was fast on the drinks for my husband and I - a much needed pick me up. I ordered oysters and a salad, my husband had the crab and lobster Mac and cheese and my kids had plain Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. It's a great date night place. Great wine list. A good mix of cocktails to choose from. I highly, highly recommend this place. It would've been much more enjoyable if it was just me and my husband. But even with the kids, it was a great choice. Fantastic food, hospitality, and atmosphere. Nothing was spared in their design for the restaurant or choice in quality menu items. We even got to meet one of the owners who shared with us some of his thoughts on the design. I recommend the whipped goat cheese and herb starter. Phenomenal! Walking in you see a very clean restaurant. You're greeted be the smell of charred meat. Very upscale. Our server Gaby was well versed on the menu. I had a dozen oysters and my wife had the tiger shrimp for appetizers. Once done a serving assistant cleared our table and provided hot towels. Very impressive!! Next our main course arrived. I had the scallops and my wife had the Chilean Sea Bass. Botha served on a bed of risotto. Both were awesome. Perfect size portions and cooked to order. Overpriced steak was cold and raw! If you can't cook a 50$ steak better than that you shouldn't be in business! Steak had no flavor and was cold and bleeding! Medium well should not bleed! The atmosphere and sophistication sets the bar for Fort Smith and is on par with upscale dining in major cities. My first experience here was phenomenal. Salads came out cold and fresh high quality ingredients. The kitchen was flexible with adaptations. The broccolini was grill seared and a culinary experience and their risotto on point. I went last night at 5pm as the first ones to arrive and we did not get our salads for an hour and our dinner for another hour after that. It took 2.5 hours to get our food. The steak remained on point and the salmon. The Mac and cheese are extremely small portions but set the bar for flavor. The chimchurri on the salad is something special. They did not have broccolini as before but instead a common boiled broccoli. The risotto was good but came out as if it had been sitting back in the kitchen a while. They do not serve bread or any non seafood appetizers so we didn't get anything for our out of town guest. They seemed way understaffed and something has changed I. The kitchen as it is nowhere near the same quality as when they first opened. All Their cocktails are outstanding and unique. This is a mixed review because there is high potential if they will just go back to the quality that they opened with. It was inordinate being the first to arrive at 5 and taking 2 hours to get our food. We came early because we hadn't eaten all day and wanted to get in and out as we experienced before. With all that said I am cheering them on to continue improvements because there are many wonderful flavors. It's just the experience detracted so much that I won't be back for a while until I see better reviews. For that kind of money I expect to leave happy not frustrated and disappointed. read more

5 stars all the way around! The ribeye is so big that my friend and I shared. They do not discourage that and don't charge the shared plate fee. The chef even offered to cut in half before cooking to please us on how we each like our steak. I had the pesto risotto for my side and it was perfect. The pesto was subtle which made it nice. My friend had the Brussels sprouts that looked amazing. I want to come back just for dessert sometime! The decor is beautiful and upscale, yet comfortable.
