I stopped here on a whim and ordered a fried shrimp platter that came with two sides and hushpuppies via the drive-thru. I chose coleslaw and fried okra as my sides. I really wasn't expecting much, but this place is definitely a favorite of mine just after one visit! I had to wait for my order for about 10min, which for some might be an inconvenience, but for me not so. That just tells me they're making my food fresh and to order. 8 shrimp came per platter as well as 5 complimentary hushpuppies. The shrimp were crispy and fresh. The hushpuppies tasted homemade with onions inside and seasoned just enough. My sides (fried okra and coleslaw) were both, again, not overly salty, and seasoned well. We had a very unpleasant experience at The Dari yesterday. Someone seated us and a waitress came to our table and told us we had to leave because of my husband's service dog. He tried to politely explain that the ADA law allows service animals to go anywhere their human goes. She stated that it was a privately owned business and they did not have to serve us. When the "boss" was put on the phone, she said she knew the the law, did not care, and rudely told us to leave. Greenwood police were called and spoke to us outside to make a report. We showed him the animal's credentials and explained his function in monitoring my husband's health condition. The odd thing is that we have been there numerous times with our service dog and never had a problem. I noticed that Christian music was playing in the restaurant. We've lived in Chaffee for over a year and this was our first trip to Greenwood, just 20 minutes away. There's lots of room in the dining room, and it was very clean. Our waitress was super friendly and my coffee cup never went dry. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it! I can't wait to try them for supper. read more

The dinner there is pretty good with plenty of options, but breakfast is my favorite thing to get there. Servers are great and food is good. Overall they offer more variety than anywhere else in Greenwood. Has a great setting with plenty of regulars that eat there frequently. read more

They are good some days and not so good on other days. I love their fat fries! Those are always good! I usually get the grilled chicken sandwich, but if I go through the drive thru, I tend to have an order that isn't correct. I have received a fried chicken sandwich when I asked for grilled, I've asked for no lettuce & tomato and gotten it anyways. I've even sat outside for 30 minutes while waiting for my food to be brought out to me. i will say that the evening this happened, they gave me a $20 gift card to make up for it. The last thing that really irks me is that they up charge you if you're paying with a card. I moved here from a big city so I'm not used to seeing this. Lastly, i wish they had more healthy options. This is my second review of the Dari. My first review was wordy. Words of praise at least. We had hamburgers and French fries which were as good as I've ever had. Today we tried their catfish and Footlong chili cheese dog. Wow, the catfish was flaky, the hot dog was split lengthwise and grilled. An ample amount of chili and cheese. I had the small order of catfish and had a hard time eating it all. But I wouldn't /couldn't stop until it was all gone. This is the third time in 52 years of marriage my wife ordered a chili dog. It was huge. A side of tater tots bigger than I've gotten anywhere else. My side of Pinto beans were very tasty and well prepared. The Cole slaw was good, if not phenomenal. The Dari is 20 miles out of our way and worth every inch. Try it. You'll thank me later. read more

Great little diner with lots of food options for families with picky eaters. Servers are always super nice and helpful.

Very clean and calming. Friendly staff. I had the footlong chili cheese hotdog and onion rings. The tea was fresh. Food came out pretty fast. Tasted good. More than I could eat for lunch. The onion rings were the star of the show. The dog was good, but I'll probably try something else next time. Was a little disappointed that I couldn't order breakfast at 10:45. $13.00 before tip. If you walk out the door still hungry, you didn't finish your order. I love the catfish along with all their fresh side dishes. I have had a burger there and I couldn't finish it all. When I asked about the delay, I was told to call in advance. The burger was average. Decent size patty but very well done. The bag of fries was the only surprise. I think y'all misspelled "dairy." Anyway. Tried this place a couple months ago. Coincidentally, that would also be my last visit. 1. Floor (carpeted - BARF!) was filthy. There was garbage, grass, wadded up napkins and even a half of a chicken tender just in my little area of flooring. 2. Order took about 15 minutes to come to the table. It was a pretty busy time, but fries and a cheeseburger don't take that long. Anywhere. 3. Once the cheeseburger made it to the table, it was adorned with two hairs that didn't belong to me. I let the server know politely and she did quickly replace it with a hairless burger. Unfortunately, I was already grossed out by their first attempt to feed me hair. 4. I don't understand all of the wait time and lack of cleanliness because there were no less than eight to ten people (employees) standing around, joking, milling about, visiting with patrons - pick up a broom or a vacuum. Wipe a table down. Something. 5. Hair is everywhere. Servers and cooks alike had hair hanging all around - long, curly and straight locks untethered and free to fly into patrons' food. As someone quite familiar with restaurant health requirements, this is concerning. 6. Dress of the servers and bussing folks is suspect. Black tops are fine. However, butt-cheek revealing shorts do not stimulate my appetite. This is a family restaurant, not a cat house. And now I wonder exactly WHERE the hair on my aforementioned cheeseburger came from... 7. As usual, Greenwood can't have anything nice. Like the sixteen failed attempts at restaurants before this one, the Dari will most assuredly tank, if for no other reason than health code violations. #FACTS read more

Over all horrible experience. Ordered a baked potato with brisket, The brisket for the baked potato looked as if was boiled/baked, sliced wrong and set under a heat lamp . I literally lost my appetite and just threw it all away. Upon ordering my food there was a cook selling drugs at the Walgreens next door. The first few times we ate here after it first opened were great, but things quickly went downhill. The last two times we've came through the drive-thru, something in our order has been messed up, and after it's pointed out to the employee, they don't even offer so much as a simple, "I'm sorry about that." So the next time we decided to eat here, we came and dined in. Ordered as usual, and sat at a booth with our drinks. They weren't very busy at all, and a lot of employees were just standing around. There was little bits of trash and discarded food on the floor under the booths around us, but the employees just seemed to walk by and ignore it. Then we started noticing that people who came in and ordered after us were getting their food. And we'd been sitting there about forty minutes. And it's not like we ordered complicated food, so we were pretty confused, and none of the employees even came to check on us or anything. So after sitting in the booth without a word from anyone or without receiving our food, my husband walked to the counter and asked for an estimate on when we would get our food. The manager was like, "Oh the cook said that order had already been cooked and sent out." Like, obviously it hasn't, because we haven't received anything. So she had to go over and argue with the cook about it for a minute, but eventually she came back and said they would start on our order. She was nice enough to refund half of the cost of the meal and give us free dessert. The food was definitely not the best - slightly burnt chicken fried chicken, runny mashed potatoes, greasy chili cheese fries - and absolutely not worth an hour wait. And then they tried arguing that the manager said we could only have a slice of cake as free dessert, instead of "whatever dessert y'all want," like the manager really said. I was really hopeful about The Dari when it first opened, but I've learned that it's really just more of a disappointment, so we won't be returning. read more
