4 Star Diner, a noisy, grungy, little truck stop style diner, located right across the street from the Cherokee Casino. It is adjacent to the luxurious and exclusive Walnut Inn Roland. If you have a hangover from a libatious evening at the casino, the noisy little diner will make your head pound. Compounding that; if you lost your pay check on the slots, it is a really miserable morning. Unable afford a room at the casino, certainly cannot afford breakfast there either. That leaves the only option, a cheap room at the Walnut Inn. It is an easy walk to the 4 Star Diner, for a reasonably priced breakfast and several cups of coffee. Came here for dinner while staying at the casino. I ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and a side salad. The wife got the chili cheese fries. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy but could have used a little more seasoning. The mashed potatoes and gravy were awesome. The chili cheese fries were also great. They have a delicious homemade chili and the plate was huge. Both items were very reasonably priced. For the cost and size and quality they are right it's 4 stars. read more

Clean place with parking lot. Ordered coffee, scrambled eggs with hash browns and toast. I like to drink coffee with honey and " half and half ". Usually when I order coffee i my cup filled up super full, where is no space for " half and half " or they don't have a honey. Small details is annoying or make you thankful. Big tables and lots is friendliness. Reasonable prices and lots of food for your appetites! They make to order anything you ask for. We came in at closing because google still shows open until 11 but they close at 9pm. I hate doing that to people. However, the staff was welcoming and we didn't know until everyone left that they were closing. It did take a while with the mass exodus to get our drinks and orders in but after ward went well. The portions are huge and served hot and fresh. The fried pickles are next level. Big huge fried pickles with the good house made ranch. Huge thick ham was tender and delicious. The grilled chopped sirloin, or hamburger steak as I call it, was big, and delicious. Brown gravy was standard run of the mill from a can stuff but paired well with the grilled onions and meat. Solid fried shrimp meal as well. We haven't eaten here in years but decided to stop in because of how late it was and thought they would be open later. I think we'll be back more often. read more

Well all I got was 2 pancakes and then got charged separately for the sausage at 2.99 which made it 14 DOLLARS!!! and they wouldn't give me a receipt either! When we travel down Interstate 40 we always try to include a stop at this out of the way diner. It isn't healthy but it is very good with very good service. We always get pie after our meal. Today we decided to have breakfast for lunch and got pies to go for later. The breakfast was a basic bacon and eggs and ham and eggs. All cooked just the way we ordered them.
