We got a cinnamon roll that was extremely dried out and the food was just okay. Nothing to come back for. Service was not what it used to be either. We stopped for lunch while passing through this old town, found The Vault on the Main Street. It is…read morean old bank building, converted to a sports bar I had the Portobello sliders and a side of steamed veggies, hubs had a Turkey Club and sweet potato fries. The sliders were delish. Came two per order. Each one had a fair sized mushroom, some roasted red peppers and lettuce. The veggies were hot and were green beans, carrots and squash. The sandwich was so large that half came home in a box. The fries were really nicely done and were piping hot and crunchy on the ends. You know how unusual that is with sweet potato fries... as soon as they start to cool off they get soggy. Prices were a little high, but the server Jenny was excellent. Definitely worth a stop if you are in town. It is a sports bar and there were plenty of locals in there for lunch also.

Yelp was helpful again! Van Buren, Arkansas was a place I…read morehad never visited before and needed some help finding a good place to eat. The Vault looked good, was close by, so I tried it. Parking was great, right out front on the road in a great revitalized downtown area. Once inside, the waitress seated me and took my drink order. The menu choices all looked great. I asked for guidance from my waitress and she was very helpful! The special was the chicken fried steak and two sides and it looked good, but Big! Not wanting to eat that much she suggested the prime rib grilled cheese sandwich. Wow I had a salad, sandwich and sweet potato fries. I ate every bite and it was delicious! I would eat it again for sure. Being a sports bar there were plenty of sports to watch. The one thing that did catch my eye was a US flag with 48 Stars. Very cool! If you are ever in the friendly town of Van Buren, Arkansas, I highly recommend eating at The Vault. You will be glad you did. Go get Full

The prices also were a little surprising. They weren't the prices that reflect the crazy stuff that's going on the world today they're the same type of prices that reflected back in the day prices were food was exactly what it cost! You can definitely tell they put their foot in this food because you can feel the souls when they bring the food out nice and piping hot! We are not gonna slide past the fact that the serving sizes are huge. If you wanna taste of what it's like to go back into the 80s and 90s in the cool Mom and Pop diner feel definitely bring yourself to this diner! We just so happen to go on a Saturday so we were happily surprised to be able to also watch the football game! Although they do have an oldies vibe, they do now have ordered direct and save QR codes at each table! You can scan to claim any kind of offer an online order and you get $10 off your next order of $40 or more so if you plan on coming here, definitely look into that! It's little places like this that keeps the dream alive that Mom and Pop shots will be the VIPs of the future of restaurants! We will for sure for sure. Be back.
