Yes! Yes! Yes! This location closed for a brief few months. We were so glad when they reopened. Still, there were a few concerns as they got up and running after the downtime. So - I waited a bit and then came back. And back. And back. And back. If you couldn't tell - I've been back and ai will say CATFISH HOLE IS BACK! Better than ever! The hush puppies are the best you'll ever find anywhere - I mean that'. I've eaten all over and yet to find any better. The food is severed hot and fresh. The service is fast and friendly. The management team and staff work hard to please and take care of every detail and it shows. Went again last night. Our favorite restaurant in Alma. Delicious and delightful. Definitely recommend!

Josh puppies were addictive. Catfish was hot and delicious. Waitstaff was excellent! So much fun!

Some of the best catfish I have had in Arkansas. The owner is present, overseeing that the operation is running smoothly. The restaurant is super clean, super fast and friendly service. We visited saturday May 30th. The Fixens are as good as always, the service had its moments Waited a few moment with a empty cup. Waitress came by twice and never brought a refill. Another waitress brought it out. Now this is the moment that shocked my wife and I. I ordered the 3 piece fillet catfish She ordered the baked potato. 15-20 minutes go by the food comes out. No baked potato. The waitress says. "They did tell you that we're out of potatoes right?" She took our order. Took it too the back. Thats when it shouldve been brought too the attention that there's no potatoes. Not when the food is out too the table. Very unprofessional. I understand that the wait staff is high school kids. But as a establishment that has made a name for themselves for decades thats a training issue. Never had a problem in the past. The first thing you notice is how attentive the staff is! Southern hospitality at its finest! Everyone waits on you...not just your server. Someone is filling your drinks, bringing more hush puppies, asking how you're doing, etc! Wow! I was impressed! The food is good...catfish filets particularly. The green tomato relish is to die for! Even the canned green beans were elevated to perfection! Hand picked blackberries go into their cobbler...Yum!!! So happy to have found this place by accident! The staff was amazing! Going above and beyond to make sure guests had what they need and that drinks and fixins never ran low. So excited that their fried catfish is gluten free! Everything was good. To start you off, the server lays the "setup" on the table: green tomato relish, pickle spears, hush puppies, Cole slaw. Cole slaw was cold, hush puppies were hot, just as things should be. We still enjoy eating here. The server staff are quick to refill the hush puppies, other fixins, and drinks. We stopped in on our way back from a camping trip in Eureka Springs to back home.. it's a detour but worth it. Everything on the menu is pretty good. They are usually busy during the dinner times and weekends, so try to beat the dinner rush. From what we order is a range from the grilled chicken to crab legs.. Fried shrimp, fried chicken fillets, and steaks are good too. I do recommend trying the hush puppies and beans. Very good Catfish place in Alma. Quite busy on Friday night but it's pretty big and the wait wasn't too long. One of a few places that does Catfish steaks with bones and all. My wife loves it served this way and thought it was delicious. The catfish fillets were excellent as were the shrimp. Cornmeal coating is crispy and the fish is flaky and tasty. Sides and hush puppies were all delicious. Only negative is the tartar sauce. It's a sweet relish base with Miracle whip. Way too sweet. Not a fan but it's really just a matter of preference. I prefer simple onion, pickle and real Mayo. The Apple cobbler was delicious. Very well done. Service was prompt and friendly. read more

I visited here because it was a favorite place of my mom. The catfish was good and flaky. The baked potato was a bit small, undercooked and only served with butter and sour cream. Our order took more than 45 minutes to arrive at our table so don't go here if you only have an hour for lunch. The place was not terribly busy. Maybe this was just an off day, and our server seemed a bit stressed. I might try this again and see if things are different. read more

First time in YEARS we have eaten here. We were here on their second day of opening this location and remember the old house. Moved away... then moved back and was finally here at supper time. The dining area is clean and well lit. Comfortable seating. It's a bit loud as everyone visits and enjoys their food. ALL our food came out fresh and hot. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. january 4, 2024 at around 7 pm ordered 3 and 5 piece catfish fillets, catfish was cut very thin and over cooked, no meat, all breading. one had combo shrimp and clams both were frozen not fresh, like from wal marts freeze section. tasted old. the french fries were not fresh cooked. the hush puppies were good. would never go back, a waste of $65 and $11 tip. service is good. three adult meals, one kids chicken strips meal and two sides for one child. read more

Have stopped here for years. Had a bad experience with service. Ordered when we sat and took almost 1 hour to get our food. Noticed tables around us eaten and left. We were told because we had a steak it took longer. Table behind us came in after us and had steak. Wish management would be honest and tell us they lost our order instead of making up excuses. A definate do-again! A nice-not too fancy family dinner spot! Looks like it could be a chain resturant from the outside- but its not! Great place to take visiting family. Exactly how we ended up there for dinner. Bummer i cant go again until our next Arkansas trip! The "fixings" we so good! We ate 4 helpings of the hush puppies dipped in the tarter sauce before we even got our food! Not beause the food was slow..... complete oppisite....the staff was on top of keeping us filled with more when we ran out! And the green tomatoe relish- OMG-delish!! I am not a fish lover but i will say my husband and does not impress easy- he and my Uncle had no problem finishing his catfish fillets! Trust me alot of catfish was consumed happily! My steak was really good for sure there was a lot of non-fish options. My daughted got the 1/2lb boiled shrimp - happy girl as well!! I ordered the Cherry fried pie wirh ice cream for dessert-yummy! My one regret is i did not buy a tshirt and hat while I was there. I Was instantly irritated with myself 2 minites after we left the resturant. It was in the little white house with the squeaky boars floors and ice cold tea in glass mason jars. They have rebuilt a newer restaurant with a nod to mid century architecture. The restaurant was clean upon entering. The booth bench seats were torn and tattered as mentioned on other reviews, but overall the atmosphere was warm. The server was friendly and working hard - she was even breaking a sweat. There was a delay in ordering and getting drinks as the 1 waitress seemed to be covering the whole restaurant. She apologized and got us extra hush puppies. The food was excellent- the price was appropriate for shrimp and catfish. Only thing keeping from 5 stars is that they were understaffed. Decent place to stop for catfish if you're driving through, but be forewarned that if you look like an out-of-towner you will turn heads and be stared at. When we sat down, the waitress put down a plate of pickles, coleslaw and the best hush puppies ever. They're made with white corn instead of yellow and they were really moist and slightly sweet. She placed it on our table without us ordering so we thought it was free, but found out after we started eating them that they actually charge 4.50 for unlimited sides.
