I always feel so poor when I go to Williams-Sonoma, but just love coming to this location and seeing what new items they have. I registered for a few things for my wedding at WS and love the brands they offer. Unfortunately this was during the end of Covid so I never got to enjoy doing the registration in store and had to do everything online. They have a good amount of different items. From Le Creuset to Breville and many of their own brand items in store. The back of the store always has a nice table placement display with whatever the season is. They even currently have some Bridgerton theme items in store which was so cute. Any staff I've directly interreacted with has been nice and helpful. All my purchases have been online, but I have a couple gift cards I'm looking to use for some new kitchen items. read more

It always seemed pretty busy place, so it was hard to follow their business rational for the closure. Besides, the staff was always super helpful and friendly. Go figure. Recently visited and attended the At Home Barista class hosted by Breville and Natalih. Natalih was great and showed us how the Breville Double Boiler worked and how much time it saves versus other espresso makers. I have a Delonghi at home and can tell you Breville has nailed this process down. You literally only have to move things around and touch the touch screen, but everything from grinding, tamping and steaming milk is done automatically and the final product is perfect. It only costs $3000 for the machine but if you make at least one latte everyday for a year and 10 days, it pays itself off and is proven to add value to your life! The pumpkin spice syrup from WIlliams & Sonoma is delicious and also sold out. If you have a chance to attend the Breville demo's it's worth it for the knowledge and the amazing latte you get to make and drink! Another associate that helped us was Rita with the cool glasses! We needed help finding a gift for our friend's housewarming party and we were told that the theme of the house was modern plantation in neutral tones. Rita helped us pick the perfect Kitchen-Aid mixer stand with wooden mixing bowl that fits the theme perfectly. The next day we went back and showed her the house we got the gift for and it fit in perfectly. Williams Sonoma is a dangerous stop for someone like me who is not a chef but absolutely loves kitchen gadgets and beautiful serveware. Everything feels high quality and thoughtfully curated, which makes it very easy to imagine myself suddenly hosting elaborate dinner parties. I especially enjoy browsing the tools and cookware because even if I do not need them, they are genuinely fun to look at. I have been shopping at William Sonoma for years!! Online and in person. Nothing but positive feels when I've done in person purchases --with the exception of Returning a purchase on 3/5/25 at the Rancho Cucamonga store. The purchase experience here was great However, The Return experience, horrible!!!!! My husband and son walked into this location on 3/5/25 to return a brand new espresso machine we purchased a couple weeks prior to that date. An associate named Ann ( could have been Ana) quickly attended my husband; she was friendly, professional and understanding. That style of customer service quickly changed into something entirely different when Crystal, the attending "closing" manager got involved. She immediately addressed my husband with a negative and unnecessary Karen attitude, her pleasantries were zero. She asked no questions about return, such as, is there anything wrong with the espresso machine? Do you have a receipt? She just insisted, " We do not accept used items" and they do not accept returns. My husband explained to this Crystal, the item we purchased from their store was brand new, not used and our receipt/proof of purchase clearly states, returns/exchanges accepted etc.... That did not sway this Crystal in any form. She was adamant and definitely dragged and mudded her customer and personality skills to the bottom of the floor. She was rude, disrespectful, dismissive, not only towards my husband but to my young son as well. Why this employee went out of her way to look at my child up and down??? Unprofessional and disgusting behavior from this Crystal... completely unacceptable. My husband kept his patience, composure and intelligence intact because that is what professional, educated, and normal people do. He again explained to this Crystal, that the store manager who assisted us with the purchase, assured us that in the event if we decided to return espresso machine, "return would be accepted." Crystal then c a l l e d the store manager who helped us with purchase and asked if that was the case, The store manager said, yes. Crystal then processed refund within minutes, sourly! All that drama could have been avoided if Crystal wasn't hell bent on providing bitter and disgusting customer service. I will n e v e r step foot in this location again. I only shop at Rancho location never use my credit card anywhere else. William Sonoma's customer service couldn't do anything so I have to dispute with my credit card company. Bought my wife a 6 quart stock pot for $200., thinking it would be of good quality. The first time she used it to make vegetable soup it became very discolored. She called the store and asked about their exchange policy since the pot was so discolored after only one use. She was told that they have a strict 30 day exchange policy. I read the reviews after I purchased an order online. My bad. I placed an order for some pots and pans. Less than an hour later I got an email saying my order had been cancelled. I called and they told me in fact my order was cancelled but funds won't be released for a couple days. I went in store to see if I can purchase another set of pots and pans. Their selection was very very limited. Maybe 2 options. Here we are over 10 business days later and I still haven't received my refund. Not sure what's going on or how much longer it's going to take. My partner and I shopped at this Victoria Gardens Mall location yesterday and we were so impressed with the wonderful people that work here!...specifically Tamara who helped us with our selection of merchandise (we were shopping for gifts and she realized right away that our not-so-very-ergonomic-but-looks-shiny-nice metal basket was quickly and uncomfortably becoming full). Tamara (and the people she worked with) were super pleasant, had a smile on the entire time and in such bright spirits! Tamara was friendly and had a ton of recommendations for us. She gave us free samples of their sangria and was telling us jokes, all the while assisting us with all our finds. And she also helped wrapped up our gifts and tied pretty blue ribbons on them. Truly made our Sunday shopping experience so fun and carefree. We wanted to give her a tip (I know...quite unconventional for Williams Sonoma) but she graciously declined and offered if we could make a donation to help feed starving children instead...(so nice!!!) and at the end we promised her of course that we would rave about her on a review. The manager Maria(short asian with badly cut bob) is a r@cist. Will accuse you of stealing even if you are just browsing in the store. All the casamigos mixers are expired and fermented, the oven used to cook on sundays is dirty. the ice machine has mold growing in it as well as the coffee machines they use to sample out of. This store also does not have security cameras or any type of theft prevention. Do with that information what you will. read more

Quality of the products are great. The store is well organized and nice to be in. Employees are not knowledgeable about product. Went in for a Dutch oven and there was a sale price tag of the staub, that said they were on sale in 3 different colors. I chose a color then they couldn't find it and said they would sell me the display. The display was chipped and scratched and there was no additional discount to it so we declined. Anyways, they went to the back and couldn't find the product. We waited 30 mins for it. Then they find it and say it's not on sale. They find a bigger one trying to sell that to us, we said no thanks we want the 5qt. No problem. Lady said another one was on sale. Okay, we wanted to see it. They couldn't find it again. I asked the difference between two of them and she just said one is steeper, the other is round. Again, we don't know and they don't know. We went to this expensive store thinking the employees would at least be knowledgeable. I asked which ones are on sale. She said the small ones. I said can you point them out to me on display? We go over and the ones on sale aren't even displayed. Which is misleading and annoying. A sale sign of listed stains, and they don't even carry them. After another employee pointed to which ones were on sale. The employee who was ringing us up had to help another customer in the middle of our transaction because the other employee didn't know about coffee. Lol. Anyways, my loving patient man bought me the non sale staub for $430, he did his own research for me, grateful for him. So let me first say I do love William Sonoma products. Secondly, I have never had an issue with the staff at the Victoria Gardens location. However, I placed an order on Dec19th, paid for quick delivery for Dec 20th. I log on to my account to see if Im yet given a time frame for the delivery. It shows my order was canceled. I called customer service to see why. My billing and shipping info all correct. Rep says editing canceled the order due to address discrepancy. There was no discrepancy. Buy your appliances anywhere but here! It will save you money, headache and headache. I bought an ice maker after the sales lady told us that it freezes the ice unlike most ice makes I had looked it. Once we got it home and put it together it did not freeze the ice, could hear it from anywhere in the house, ran constantly, and ran water over the ice so the ice was always dripping wet and dripped water on the counter when accessing the ice. After 2 phone calls and 2 trips to the store with the very big heavy box I was able to return it because it was defective. She helped me quickly she was super informative and I really felt like she wanted the best for me. I ended up with a Vitamix that I love so so much! Right away I was greeted by Pam who is the sweetest soul and most wonderful woman. Her along with two of her coworkers (I sincerely am so sad I cannot remember their names I would love to talk about how great they are as well) let me vent and were so sweet and even gave me a hug. Recently, I had placed an order online for a Breville Pizzaiola Oven to be picked up at the Costa Mesa Store. Mysteriously, the item was cancelled. I thought perhaps the store was out of stock so I confirmed they had the item in stock and replaced the order. While on my way to the store, I called and spoke to an Associate to confirm stock and ensure they pulled the item in the interest of time, The associate confirmed and provided her name for me to see her upon my arrival. Minutes later I received a text and email notification that my online order was ready for pickup and then moments later that it was cancelled. When I arrived at the store, the associate "Sandy" handed me a paper illustrating that I wasn't charged for the item (it was actually a refund for the payment I tendered online) and said that she would ring me up for the balance and that buying in store helps their store, etc. I was irritated because I felt (and perhaps my assumption is inaccurate) that the reason my order was cancelled was for the associate's or store's benefit and not mine. I purchased using Paypal because the item was to be a gift and that was the only way I could purchase a gift as a surprise where my wife wouldn't have visibility. In store and now being obligated to use a separate form of payment and thereby forfeiting any element of the gift's surprise, I paid and left the store. The instructions for the Pizzaiola indicate that before first use, the oven needs to be on at a very high heat. By doing so, the inside of the oven browns. I recall seeing a Pizzaiola display in Pasadena that showed significant signs of use; however I assumed it was primarily due to the lack of proper cleaning and maintenance. When my wife and I saw the browning inside and after reading through the instructions etc, we decided to purchase the Ooni pizza oven which was also less expensive and we have several friends who have Ooni Pizzaiola Ovens and love them. I packed everything up and went to our closest store, Rancho Cucamonga, and upon walking in somewhat out of breath from carrying the box inside, I was bombarded with inquiries about the return. I hadn't even approached the counter and was asking my wife to pick out Ooni accessories when two associates (one stated that she was a manager) approached me and started to unpack and review the return. They asked why I was returning and I explained that we changed our minds and decided to purchase the Ooni instead. The associate or manager asked why I purchased the 12" Ooni instead of the 16" and said that she would have purchased the 16" which was really none of her business. One associate wheeled the box/item to the back of the store where I wasn't present and as my wife and I picked out a few items for purchase, the associate/manager at the register was asking which store I purchased the item from, why I wasn't returning to that store and a host of other intrusion questions again trying to find any reason at all to prevent me from returning the product to their store. I was then told by the associate /manager after she discussed with the associate who wheeled the box back to inspect, that there were signs of use and that they couldn't return the item. I tried to object and ask for management and was told that she was the on-duty manager and that "they've been hit hard with returns" and that because the item has signs of use, they wouldn't honor or accept the return and that I needed to go to Costa Mesa. It wasn't only their rejection of the return for the reasons they stated. it was the overall experience that was absolutely appalling. Upon entry into the store, they made us feel judged and ashamed for returning a product. They were extremely rude, intrusive and completely unprofessional. Without going deeply into my family's purchase history with the Williams Sonoma Companies, I identified over $25,000 in purchases made within the last 3 years. I'm not a serial returner and most of the returns I have made to WS were at the admonishment of the associate for the store's benefit. What became clearer to me today, is that this behavior is systemic to WS. I would challenge you to look deeper into the reviews for these stores, if you're analysis is fair, you'll see that this isn't limited to my experience alone. Positive reviews regarding a purchase isn't telling the entire story. In every relationship, when things are beneficial for both parties during a transaction, the experience is generally positive most of the time. My husband purchased a cocktail smoker less then 2 weeks ago. It started giving us issues after 2 uses. According to William Sonoma return policy you can return a product in new or like new condition within 30 days. When I went into the store Esther helped me and I told her what happened and she started saying "ma'am we can't return used products " I told her my husband started to have issues tge second time he used it and so I requested to return it or exchange. All of sudden she calls tge other manager Stacy. And Stacy starts by calling me a liar. She's said " ma'am you're liying I just head you saying it was working. I told her the first time it worked second time it was not. She called me a LIAR in front of all the other customers. Both Esther and Stacy who are supposed to be managers have no sense of customer service. So rude. They made me feel so embarrassed. Tacky, tacky service. I have shopped in this store for many years and had the absolute worst service yesterday and today. I purchased several food items that showed discounted with a sign on the shelf today, I opened the bag and looked at the receipt, and nothing was discounted. I called the store and spoke with one of the less than professional managers, who told me whatever it shows online as is what the price is, there is no discount. I explain to her that I had interaction with several store sales people yesterday who assisted me with these purchases. I also expressed that there were signs on the shelves, indicating the discount, and exactly where they were located. she told me so sorry, no discount. I then asked if I could return the items as they were not honoring the proper signage, she said "so sorry you cannot return food." I asked for the other manager, the main store manager, and while waiting on hold, could hear cattiness in the background in regards to our call. I explain to her that I don't mind paying $14.95 for something if I know that's the price, but if I am trusting at the register that you are not discounting it with the 30% off, sign that you have, I do have a problem with that. She told me if I don't like it I could just come in there with the receipt and they would look at it. As I wrapped up the call with her, I told her I would call the general manager later. Before either of us hung up, I could hear her cattiness and remarks in the background, snidely, repeating what I said. I will admit, I was quite surprised at the tacky quality of hired help they had in the store yesterday, it was the most unprofessional I have ever seen in WS; nothing you would expect from a store of this caliber.
