Ordered a Smithey 10" cast iron on 29Jan26...supposed to be delivered today, 24Feb26...what the?!! Over the last month I contacted Smithey and WS about this...multiple times with multiple delays. Here's the kicker: Smithey told me about 2 weeks ago they had no issue or backlog with this item on their end...was on WS end! WS never fessed up on anything, said "sorry for the delay". This should not have taken a month WS...you suck at shipping/customer service. The only reason you get 2 stars is because the shipping didn't cost me...thanks at least for that. I would give a zero for my experience if I could. The customer service at Williams Sonoma is beyond disappointing. I ordered via their website an email gift certificate for a family member and received a confirmation email that it would be sent that day. It was never sent. Then the next day I receive a voicemail to call them-odd, but I do. I spent over an hour and a half on the phone with them before talking to a supervisor. The store is lovely. Most sales people are very helpful. The rewards program is absolutely a nightmare!! There is no way to use it in store or online unless you have WS Credit Card. I have a $20 reward and nobody in the store or at corporate customer service knows how to access the reward certificate number. I have the certificate and it has all x's at the bottom. Spent 30 minutes in the store and 45 minutes on the phone. I give up!! This is a great way to lose customers. Why would you make a rewards program so difficult? You are supposed to be rewarding your best customers. This is no reward, this is a frustrating mess!! read more

I've been to a number of WS stores and didn't find this one any different than the others. In general, I'm a fan of what they're doing. Sure, they're packed with things most of us don't need, but who gets to decide that and should we care? Not me. Honestly had no idea the store was here. A family member was shopping and taking a long time at a clothing store so I went for a walk around the entire shopping center. But when I came to WS, in I went, and out I came with a pricey bottle of concentrated beef stock I didn't know I needed... lol. Love it. Lots of money in this area of town and on a weekday afternoon in the middle of the day business was brisk. If you're looking for anything and everything kitchen related, hard to go wrong here. I'd definitely return. In fact, that same clothing store my family member goes to may be reason enough to return more often. I typically end up waiting in the car but now have good reason to do some shopping of my own, and makes sense, since I'm the cook in the family. And since there seem to be a number of one-star reviews about service from largely anonymous folks, my experience was just the opposite. Great service, plenty of help. I'll be back. read more

I had a tablecloth that I returned due to the fabric fading after one washing . I did not have my receipt, but thanks to Robin's patience and perseverance, I was able to exchange it. My return was not going smoothly, but once Robin figured out how to "key in" my item, things were great! She was very kind to me and wanted to resolve my issue. I visited this location to return a damaged product I received online. First, it took almost 10 minutes for an associate to help me. There were 4 associates floating around the store, and there was one entering inventory. She continued entering inventory while I stood at the register waiting to be helped. She didn't greet me, or call for back-up - both of which she should've done. Secondly, when I explained that I wanted to return the item bc it broke in shipping, I was told that I should never purchase items online from Williams Sonoma bc the quality is poor. I explained that all of my wedding gifts came from Williams Sonoma with no issue at all, and the associate continued to argue with me. I've never experienced more unprofessional conduct in a Williams Sonoma store, and expect more from a company as upscale as WS. I understand holidays require temporary help, but store associates are the face of your brand in a brick and mortar environment, and customers spending that kind of money should be respected. I will never set foot in this store again. read more

The worst retail experience of my life was at this location. The store manager yelled at me in front of dozens of people because I briefly lowered my mask to take a sip of my water. I wasn't aware of any rule around this at the time, and stood frozen in shock unable to speak. It was so humiliating that I've never returned to any Williams Sonoma location since. Couldn't bring myself to purchase from WS on my friend's wedding registry today because of it. Friendliness is so important, and this was next level unacceptable. It's a shame to see so many other reviewers have been treated poorly as well. read more

I love stopping into Williams-Sonoma (even if it is a bit on the higher end). If I am looking for a specialty item I can normally find it there and the people that work there are very helpful. They also have samples which are fun because they are seasonal. I haven't attended any yet, but they offer complimentary cooking classes which sound like a lot of fun. read more

Awful experience and unpleasant associates. I order a simple appliance online and select store pick up as it's Christmas Eve. It's currently 4:17 and the store closes at 5. I'm told my order is cancelled, but there was no notification to me the customer of the cancellation via web, telephone or any other method. I ask the store associate who proceeds to wag her finger in my face and say, things happen and it's not her fault. They then find my order. But it's still cancelled. Basically I am asked to repurchase the item. Keep in mind they have already charged my card. I can see the debit. Told by a manager to repurchase the item. At this point I'm fuming. I had used gift cards to purchase with combination of credit card to purchase . All I had was my wallet, credit card used for purchase and my ID. Nope, no repurchase when you already have my money, and I've done nothing wrong. Manager says it will show up in 3-5 biz days. It's Christmas Eve! Unprofessional attitude by sales staff. Unhelpful attitude by manager. Remember all I wanted to do is pick up an item that was verified in stock. Don't bother with customer service. They don't care. The products are ok and most of people working in the stores are very nice. Their call center is so bad that we will quit buying stuff from them. I do not want to deal with people who are NOT professional and respectful. I was trying to pay off my daughters' bill. They told me they needed to talk to my daughter. When I went to wake her up, they hanged up on me. When I tried to talk to a manager, I got lost in transfer three times. I guess they do not want to deal with a complaint...there are many brands that we can shop with...We do not need to put up with their crap... read more

I recently visited the location on 119th expecting to simply browse and ended up working with a few employees and the store GM. The thing I must say is how knowledgable, friendly, and helpful the staff are at this location. So much so that I've returned 5 more times to buy additional things to compliment my stainless steel cookware set. To top it all off, the store called me today to let me know that the biggest purchase I reluctantly, but happily made, would be going on sale just as they had offered to do when I bought it. There are a couple locations in the KC area, but this is unequivocally the location I will always shop with from this point forward! read more

I look at Williams-Sonoma at Town Center as a kindred spirit to Dean & Deluca across the street - with the latter selling gourmet food and the former selling the tools to make the gourmet food. I have no five-star, culinary kitchen - but walking through this place and I know I want one someday. I love the wall of cookbooks and coffee table books about food - and the staff doesn't mind if you look through them, they encourage it. Yes, it is in the heart of Johnson County (its unofficial motto being, if you can't afford it, get out), but it's also a food museum to me, a place to walk around slowly, looking at its displays and reading the information posted about it on the side. Their seasonal displays get me excited for holidays ahead, like Hallmark, they set out Christmas as early as October - but it fosters the excitement of the seasons well. Right now, W&S is selling a filled pancake pan, a pan with a few ice cream scoop-sized holes in it, where you can pour the batter and fill it with (as they sell it) pecan pumpkin mousse and they turn out to be these perfect little dumpling-sized pancakes. It's useless but it sounds like the best way to spend your next Sunday in bed, does it not? They also sell gourmet mixes that make eating really good things that much easier, for example: monkey bread (although not the most gourmet of their products, it's a bestseller and ridiculously good.) They sell quirky things for Halloween coming up: Giant Halloween caramel apples and personalized trick or treat totes, jack-o-lantern aprons. I won't buy any of this, but its fun to imagine that one day I'll have the money to live this frivolously. I also appreciate how the entire checkout is modeled into a real kitchen counter in the center of the store - where they hold real cooking classes for a fee and other cooking demonstrations for free everyday. My first visit to Williams-Sonoma ever was on a mission to find wedding gifts for dear friends. The customer service was spot-on and I felt welcome to shop at my own pace without being bothered every other minute. I initially thought I might buy a tea or coffee maker but I soon found out that those items would destroy my budget. I decided to look throughout the entire store to see if anything in particular would stand out. I found the book section and saw the perfect gift in the form of a new-couples cookbook. The price wasn't bad at $35 so I got that. I then got some food items to round out my gift box and the nice lady at the counter beautifully wrapped the gift box (complimentary!) and even tied a perfect bow. I had high hopes when visiting this brand and I was not disappointed. I will add this to my mental list of places to visit for high quality gift-giving. read more

They're all the same. This is the same store as is at the plaza, etc. I really enjoy William Sonoma, but they're all the same. Knives, Plates, Le Crueset, specialty gadgets you'll never need, the store is full of interesting things to look at and at times purchase. Williams-Sonoma, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I only stopped in to pick up a cupcake corer; the staff was incredibly helpful and got the item for me while I looked around. Within two minutes of walking in the door I had what I needed in hand. Of course that did not stop me from spending another twenty or so minutes browsing the store. If you have never been, Williams-Sonoma is a pretty high end kitchen store, they have all of the obscure items that you would spend days trying to find elsewhere (such as a cupcake corer, ice cream starter, and so on). If you fancy yourself a chef you'll feel like a kid in a toy store. read more

Absolute worst customer experience I have ever had. Snooty staff that ignored my wife when we were the only customers in the store. Treated us like second class citizens as soon as we walked in the door. they may have cool cooking toys but go somewhere else if you want any form of customer service. read more

I went here on a mission to get a Nespresso coffee machine as a gift. The salesperson / expert on Nespresso here was extremely helpful, giving me samples of the coffee and espresso without me even asking. I had thought that Nespresso just an upcharged Keurig, but she proved me elsewise (spending about 20 minutes of her time with me). This is my favorite Williams Sonoma store. The staff is great and they have a large assortment of product!! Highly recommended.

Staff is helpful and knowledgable about their products. I shop this store frequently-- sometimes getting something small and inexpensive, and sometimes making a larger investment (can you say Le Creuset?). I always feel welcome and if I have questions, they are answered to my satisfaction. I really like this store and feel like the products are a really good quality I can count on. read more
