I love Williams-Sonoma. I just like walking around, looking at the pretty things and seeing new and fun items that I'd love to have but aren't too practical. I like sampling the food products and seeing what they have to offer. I will admit, this place is super expensive. Every item, including their own food products is a bit expensive. However, you don't need to spend money to browse the store, so I still like coming in. I do happen to have a professional discount card so I do buy things here when there's a sale or I have a coupon. And I will always spend money on the excellent peppermint bark during the holidays. The people working here are always nice and friendly and super helpful. They also know how to leave you alone when you tell them you're just looking. I'm sure they're used to browsers. The store is organized well and has a lot of different items. If they don't have an item you want, they can order it for you and have it delivered to your home or the store. read more

Im a younger man and I went into this store and an older woman who I assume was the general manager immediately approached me with a skeptical eye. It felt like she was being sexist because she cant imagine anyone walking into this store who isnt a woman. I walked around looking at items while she stared me down from the middle counter area. Overall she made me feel unwelcome but I bought something anyway just to prove her wrong in her stereotypes. read more

I bought a beautiful espresso machine from William Sonoma, but I chose the wrong one. The manager Mary kindly let me exchange it for something that was fully automatic. The Delonghi espresso machine. My wife's Williams Sonoma (older) remote thermometer recently stopped working so I called their web site to get technical help. I was told that they don't offer technical assistance, and there was nothing they could do. She did look through my wife's past purchases (which unfortunately are extensive) and when the agent couldn't find the purchase that was the end of the discussion. No technical help, no discount on a replacement. I will have to rethink my Christmas purchases for my wife after that call. Very disappointing. read more

I had an error with applying and using a Williams and Sonoma card while purchasing something on-line.... while calling the store to schedule a cooking class, I brought it up to Gail, and instead of sending me off the the 1-800 world, she asked me to come in and she would help me. This is a beautiful store along a new shopping area with tree lined streets and nice walking area. I'm not sure too many people know of this store or area in general, as it was fairly quiet during the mid-day. Presentation was inviting, and nice sauces and spices from Thanksgiving were marked down appropriately. We ended up buying an open box item, but were not able to find the box, so they marked it down another 10%. I really enjoy the hunt, and look for any chance to negotiate a price down. read more

Why do I like coming to a place that many would consider to be overpriced compared to shopping at Amazon or online or at other places? Because in reality, when there are deals to be had and sales, you can get some fantastic quality goods at very good prices not available anywhere else. For instance a high quality Global brand 7 inch Vegetable knife (G-56) is on sales at Amazon today (2/14/2021) for 129.95 and at Williams Sonoma, they have a sale for 79.95. Now, the deal is that you may wait two months for shipping at any location, but 80.00 for a knife that will last you forever and is at this price is worth the wait. I will often price check before I decide to actually buy anything, and I find that most times, for the most popular or highest quality items, the price will be similar or less and then I will purchase it here. If not, I will go and purchase elsewhere, or I will ask for the price match, if the item will price match (there are a lot of exclusions so ask) The sales are very good here and the service is fantastic. Bet part is, for professional quality knife sharpening, every FIRST Sunday of the month, the Henderson store has a professional in store and will sharpen your knives. It is $1.00 per inch and you pay the pro in cash directly. Can't beat the quality and I do this usually every fall before Thanksgiving / Christmas so I have the sharpest tools available. Gosh I just love this store! Came here recently for a knife skills class. The class was $100 but included an awesome knife that actually retails for more than that. I'm just not allowed to go in this store very often because I want EVERYTHING in there. They have everything you can think of to make cooking/entertaining more efficient and fun! Staff is super friendly and I love that they always have some kind of fun samples and espresso to enjoy while you browse all of the things that you don't need but have to have! They send lots of great coupons too! I stopped in today to find yuzu-ginger sauce on sale and yuzu-meyer lemon cocktail mix! I purchased the mix more to make yuzu soda than cocktails (though I could add some to dry sparkling wine for fun). I immediately went home and made soda by putting some frozen yuzu peel at the bottom of the glass, poured a few ounces of the yuzu mix, a few ice cubes, and added a MINI can of ginger ale for yuzu-ginger soda. I find the staff here to be very helpful. I brought down a meat thermometer that I could not figure out how to use the other day and the associate showed me how it works right away, and addressed common questions about that particular product others have had. read more

Located in the heart of The District a great place to stop in and browse all the kitchen and food items. BTW the cutting board was featured on Shark Tank and is phenomenal. It's two sided, one side has grooves so when cutting meat the juices go into the cup! The cup is detachable and collapsible. It's dishwasher safe and doesn't scratch. Made in U.S.A. too!! read more

I wish I could rate them lower than a single star here. I purchased a $17 can of pancake mix while there to pick up a specific gift for Christmas. Not like me since you can get a bigger box of pancake mix for $3 at the grocery store, but I was in a good mood and looking forward to making Christmas breakfast for my family. I opened the mix Christmas morning and poured a cup into the mixing bowl. It sounded like rocks hitting the bowl so I stopped to make sure there were no foreign materials in the mix. They were candied pecans! Hard as rocks! I took one out to press it with the bottom of a glass to be sure of what it was and it wouldn't smash! I looked at the bottom of the packaging and it expires in Jan 2023 - one month from when I bought it! Glad I didn't serve it! Could have broken someone's tooth! I put the dry mix back in the container to return it with the receipt which I still had. I walked into the store and handed it to the cashier who informed me they did not accept food items back especially when opened. (How would I know they were rocks if I hadn't opened it but anyway...) She called the manager. I showed the manager the receipt, the expiration date on the container and her response was, "Did you buy it on clearance?" First of all, no and second look at my receipt to see what I paid for it and third check your product shelf life manager! She looked down her nose at me and advised me she would do it THIS TIME! Horrible customer service and horrible way to treat your customer! You're right, you'll only have to do it THIS TIME because I won't shop there again! It's so true. It is so difficult to find competent employees. You can't just "fix" everything you do wrong with a smile on your face and a friendly greeting. What happened to hiring competent people? A mistake on an employee's part could have and should have been resolved with 1 phone call. Not the case here. It took 2 managers, 1 assistant manager, 2 employees and a dozen phone calls to customer service and still nothing got resolved. Luckily, I was able to speak to a professional customer service person on the phone today, who immediately took care of a problem it took these women 7 days to figure out and still couldn't get a resolution for me. I am not a frequent shopper at places like this, however I was pleasantly surprised last weekend. I wanted to get an Instant Pot and they seemed to be sold out almost everywhere. I was shocked to see that Williams-Sonoma was offering the same price that I found on Amazon, so we headed to the store. The associate who assisted us (I believe her name was Abby) was very friendly and helpful. She checked the computer to see if they had any in stock and we were able to snag the very last one (which was the floor model). I don't necessarily consider this place to be "pricey," they sell luxury products at competitive prices. We have All Clad cookware and found their prices to be reasonable. These types of items are generally more expensive because they are of high quality and made to last a lifetime. Sometimes paying more ends up a better deal in the long run. Anyhow, I was pleased with my experience and would certainly go back! read more

Wooden cutting boards from Williams-Sonoma are poor quality -- do not purchase! I bought a maple cutting board for $90 and with only a few uses, the pieces of board that are glued or laminted together started splitting apart. I was able to get them to exchange it for the same item, and in a year the same thing is happening. I only use it occasionally when I have a large item to carve, and I hand wash and dry. They now refuse to replace or refund because I don't have a receipt for the time it was exchanged. Something this expensive with the Williams-Sonoma name on it should not fail this quickly. It is obvious it is a W-S product since the name is burnt into the wood, so not happy that they will not even provide a partial refund or store credit. read more

Went here on 12/23/11 just to browse and look at kiddie cookbook options. There was nearly nada on that subject. Usually WS are filled with kiddie stuff but not this one. I inquired about a price check due to the 20% sale, and she points at it and yells out "the price is right there!" Then I asked if I could get one that's still has its packaging because this one had been removed from it to which she replied "they all come like this!" then when I asked for something new because I didn't want the one on the display shelf because countless people have touched it she said "WHAT, YOURE NOT GONNA WASH IT!?!?" I like Williams-Sonoma. It's fun to look around. The service leaves something to be desired at this location though. I guess I don't look like I have the money to shop in Williams-Sonoma. No salesperson ever offers assistance, even when they're obviously not busy. One day, I was visiting to purchase an expensive Vitamix blender. I had saved my money for a while, and I was so eager to take my precious li'l baby home. I played with the demo model for a long time, hoping someone would come over and help me. There wasn't another soul in the store, but the two salespeople just stood around. Fine. So I flagged one down while the other went to go do goodness-knows-what-else. The salesperson made a gesture like she was going to come over and help me, but just then, a group of middle-aged women walked in. Guess who she greeted and helped first? If you guessed me, you're dead wrong. After standing there for another few minutes, I walked right out and purchased my $600 blender on Amazon. I won't be back to this location. Don't make assumptions about your customers based on appearances or age. You never know who you're dealing with until you make - or lose - a major sale. read more

My wife and I went to buy a Pizzelle maker and it said online that they carried this item. We walked in with our 2 teacup dogs in hand. We were immediately confronted without a greeting asking me if our dogs were service animals. I responded letting her know of course they were and asked if she wanted to see their paperwork which I have on my phone. The women responded "of course I believe you" in a condescending manner. I asked her if she had the cookie maker and she replied "no we do not" check online. I asked her if she could check for us and she seemed very bothered by us. She came back and said no they were sold out which was a lie I looked later that night and they had it available on the website. We continued to shop and another sales women ran over to me demanding I pulled my mask over my nose. I obliged, and then she said "I hope those are service animals." At that point my wife lost it and told me we are leaving and will not be harassed anymore. Considering the thousands of dollars we have spent in the Philadelphia store we will never spend another dollar because of these two poorly trained employees. I am in the hospitality industry and this is simply unacceptable, especially at a higher end retail store. I have told everyone in our circle my experience and they are all surprised considering the brands reputation. read more

Came in to buy some loaf pans, the gold lined ones that are only sold at Williams-Sonoma based on Cook Illustrated's recommendation. This store makes me weep when I come here because I want to buy literally everything, and it is so expensive. They have everything you could want or possibly need. I admittedly don't cook much anymore since we moved from our house in Seattle. Going from living in my wonderful house to a small cheap apartment has made me lose my passion for cooking and baking, as my appliances in my home motivated me to cook daily. Now, I look at my cheap apartment appliances and I hate using them and cooking, but I am pushing myself to do it more. I'm a huge fan of this store and would be happy just browsing everything. Not only do I love to find good food but I also love to cook good food. I've been to many William-Sonomas in my lifetime, but this one always seems so warm and friendly. I ran in the other day to pick up a few things and wound up with a list of classes coming up. Not only do they offer FREE classes but they are on Sundays. How fantastic is that? For those of us in the city that have regular jobs, it's hard to get to these weekly things that start at 5-ish. Knowing that I can come in on Sunday after church makes me so there. This store is a decent size. I've seen many bigger, but for some reason that seems to be the trend in Las Vegas. Everything is smaller accept the casinos. This location is at The District in Green Valley so on a nice day it's great to walk around or grab a bite somewhere. While I would prefer to go to Sur La Table, the idea of going into the Fashion Show mall makes me want to jump off the Stratosphere. If you want good kitchen equipment, this is a great store for quality items. Yes, it's a little pricey at times, but if you are like me, you want to pay for something that will LAST. read more

This place... This place man (or lady) I bought a pan from them. It looked really nice and it broke within a month. I bought cooking wear from a 99 store that lasted longer then that. I won money gambling and bought a nice pepper shaker for my mom she has arthritis and a weak hand but, it still broke in a week. I bought a $20 thermometer and it broke after the second use. Thinking that it was just a run of bad luck I decided to try one more time. I wanted a simple tea container and the lady said she had more in the back. She told me to wait a minute. I waited 10 and when I moved to look at something else I saw her talking to her co-worker. I walked out. Not going to walk back in there.
