Great laundromat. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and bright. Large washers and dryer's.

I always take my large comforters here to wash. They have varied size machines from "2 loads" machines, up to "9 loads" machines. The laundromat is very clean. Large folding areas and also very clean. You can pay with quarters, or via a QR code on a your selected machine. It's so easy! There is always an attendant wiping down areas, or helping customers who are new to the laundromat. If you don't want to wait inside, there are two coffee houses across the street to grab a cup: Freeport Bakery and Coffee Fish. read more

Nice little laundromat. The price is reasonable, the person working was nice, machines are nice, and ample parking. Bonus is the car wash next door if you're trying to kill time. read more

I Came on a Sunday for the first time. The facility is excellent, and it is an optional size washer and dryer. There was a little coffee spill on the floor, but an attendant came in a while and cleaned it up. I would recommend coming back to wash and dry my comforter. Prices are reasonable. read more

This place can use a cleaning periodic. Counters need wiped down. Floors need ti be sweeper. Also I'm glad I didn't put my clothes on the counter. An ugly cockaroach. I told the owner and he squished it with a kleenex, but there still ants. Not coming back here. read more

My family and I recently returned from an extensive camping trip that resulted in an excessive amount of dusty and dirty laundry. 15 loads to be exact. A friend of mine suggested that we take all the clothes to a laundromat versus attempting to wash them all load per load at my house. First of all, brilliant idea! Thanks friend! I was able to wash all 15 loads in 3 hrs versus the 3 days it would have taken me at home. My friend recommended William Freeport laundry. Stating that it was across the street from Marie's donuts and in a very convenient location. So off I went. In addition to getting my laundry done ASAP, I was also able to take my 7 year old daughter to a laundromat for the first time. Up until now, she had only seen them on TV. She LOVED the experience and we have Eric, the laundromat manager, to largely thank for that. Thank you so much Eric for turning off the evening news when I pulled you aside and made that request. It meant so much to me. My daughter hasn't been exposed to the news yet so when we arrived and it was on, she was immediately captivated by the fear based information that was being spread by the reporters. My first thought was to have her use my headphones to drown out the noise and listen to music but when that didn't work because the gunshots on a particular news segment were too loud; she was mesmerized. Eric promptly turned off the TV. Thank you, thank you, thank you! My daughter, myself and I were able to enjoy doing laundry in peace for the remainder of our time there. We even got to run across the street to get some yummy donut holes and enjoy while she read me some children's books that were available next to the Laundromat vending machine. The place is spotless! I noticed Eric was wiping, sweeping and mowing the lawn while we were there. The other patrons were very kind and all in all it made for a pretty amazing experience.....at a laundromat of all places!!!! It had been 22 years since I was last at a laundromat (back in my college days). Will definitely be back to this laundromat....very soon! Thank you Eric ! read more

What a rip off the dryers are only FIVE minutes for ¢25. The place is dirty and definitely needs an upgrade. This will be my first and LAST time here. read more

This laundromat is disgusting. Yes. It is slighter cheaper than other laundromats in area but washing machines are freaking filthy and disgusting. Full of who knows what from pervious loads of laundry done by many people before you AND most of larger machines have dog hair, cat hair and human hair greet you with nasty mildewy funk. Never see anyone sanitize or wipe down anything. Its gross read more

It's actually a decent laundromat but they let this guy in this diesel truck reverse parked by the doors with his engine on letting exhaust fumes into the building. I find that to be unhealthy especially if you are in the laundromat for a extended period of time washing and folding your clothes. The owner needs to put up signs regarding exhaust fumes and letting your vehicle run while the doors are wide open. To me it just seemed rude and obnoxious. A few others inside were talking about it as well. This may seem like a minor complaint but no one else would speak up about it. If they have rules set up in a place of business then other should abide by the rules. I sure hope the owner attempts to make a contact with me and makes some changes in the way people come in and use their business. read more

Positives: ok so this place washes your clothes, and does splendidly in quickly drying your clothes - I got over 50 mins for drying clothes because I didn't realize how hot the dryer got. Next time I come here I don't need that many minutes. There is a small one person at a time restroom. Pricing is straightforward and there are signs for that too. Negatives: can get very busy on Friday evening, and is very difficult to get in and out of the lot on Friday afternoon. read more

I don't know much about laundromats, but this one seems pretty okay. Prices are the same as my apartment, better than the East Sac laundromat for sure, and the AC works. The crowd is a little more Oak Parky than Land Parky, but duh those guys have those frontloading LG washers that take 20 minutes and use like an oz of water. You can be productive while you do laundry: Wifi with password or log in McDonald's or visit car wash neighbor and clean your whip You can be unproductive while you do laundry: Marie's Donuts and Dad's (BEERS) are across the street. Very clean, nice spot to wash whatever you've got. Their fluff and fold service is reasonable and very convenient as well if you prefer not to wait. This is a very reliable and valuable neighborhood spot read more

William's Freeport Laundry is one of the few freestanding laundromats in Sacramento with a convenient location. They are in Land Park next to the 4th Avenue light rail station and lots of great food and drink options in the area. There is a decent sized parking lot for customers. The facility is rather basic with limited air conditioning and only a small seating area with a television. However, they have a great selection of machines including many multi load washers which are both time and energy efficient. The few large dryers are in use a lot, but you can easily split your load into the smaller ones too. Prices are decent, but it's cash only needing lots of quarters. Change machines accept large bills for large loads. They advertise free WiFi, but I couldn't find a password. Xfinity customers can use the hotspot if you have the app. This is a true Yelp laundromat with Freeport Bakery, Marie's Donuts, Dad's Kitchen, and Taylor's Market as neighbors! If you have a big load or don't have an option at home, head to William's Freeport Laundry. Bring quarters and an appetite! read more

lost an article of clothing and they went above and beyond to try to find it! very good service especially late on a Sunday night.

Rarely do I go to laundry mats, we recently went camping and brought in a few large blankets to be washed. We were greeted outside by a nice worker that handed us a cart to help carry our things in. It seemed like a busy day, we were able to get two large 8 load washers which fit all the blankets we brought in. There are plenty of washers and dryers to use. Really happy with how clean the laundry mat was, even the softer and detergent area where you place into the washer was spotless! Definitely one of the cleanest I've been to will be back read more

Nice amenities! Several different washers, a soap dispenser, and a coin dispenser and ATM just in case. The bathroom was out of order, which was a bummer, but we had no complaints otherwise! read more

Dirty and old. Needs to be updated. Smelled inside like old sour socks. No credit card / debit card readers on any machines. The vending machine was empty sans some old chips and drinks that looked like they haven't been swapped in days. I walked in and immediately walked out read more

I love this place. Lots of front loaders with various sizes to use. Nice large sized dryers as well.

I came in to wash my big comforters to store away for winter. They have nice big machines and people are very helpful. A guy came over and helped me navigate the machine. After I got all my stuff situated, I went and grabbed a snack at the neighboring bakery. Nice location so that you don't have to feel like you're stuck being bored there. I don't usually go to laundry mats, but I find the cleanliness and the helpful people great. Also not super crowded, so that's a definite plus. read more

Came here on a Thursday night to wash my huge comforters and immediately noticed how CLEAN this place was!! They also have a wide variety of washers and dryers ranging from your standard size to HUMONGOUS!! Loved how they also have SUPER WASH and DRY machines where you can literally be in and out in 50 minutes! Washing items cost ~$3.00 and to dry them was ~$3.00-$5.00--depending on how long you wish to dry them ($0.25 for eight minutes). It wasn't too busy when we initially got there (~6PM) but started filling up while we were leaving (~7:00PM). The worker was more than willing to help me get situated since it was my very first time at a laundromat and, was overall, very friendly. This place sells various types of detergents, softening solutions, dryer sheets, and laundry bags ranging from $0.75 to $1.00. (It's obviously cheaper to bring your own but, just incase you forget, it's nice to know they have these available.) There's also a quarter machine inside so you don't have to search your car for loose change. They have a TV and free wi-fi set up with chairs so you can either wait for your laundry or venture outside and wash your car next door, head to Famous Pizza, Round Table, McDonalds, Yummy Juice Cafe, Freeport Bakery, or Dad's Kitchen to grab a bite to eat! There's so much to do around that area you won't get bored! I will definitely come here again when I need my comforters washed!! read more

This place is spotless inside, which is how a laundromat should be. I came here to wash my winter blanket and discovered there are a variety of industrial sized washers available. The dryers are expensive as it cost .25 for 8 minutes. So please keep this in mind. On the other hand, however, it is definitely more economical going to the laundromat rather than the dry cleaners. Additional bonus: Dads is across the street so you might be able to squeeze in a pint while your clothes are drying. I did...just set my timer on my phone...voilà :) read more

William's Freeport Laundry - Coin-op Laundry - Laundry Services Near Me - Sacramento, California

I expected this place to much more well kept! While doing a load of laundry I witnessed 2 homeless people wander in and start drying bags of wet hobo clothes without washing them first! (disgusting) The gentleman that appears to have suffered from drug abuse over many years, who issupposed to keep an eye on this place was nowhere in sight while this was happening. Hair and grime is in every corner and on every laundry basket. I noticed about 2 days after the last time was there I noticed small red bumps on my skin :( about 3 days later they had spread to my back, neck, arms and legs. Getting larger until nickel and dime size spots started to appear. So naturally I went to the ER. After having blood drawn and now frightened I may have contracted something serious I sat and awaited results. While I sat and contemplated if my clean clothes were important enough to be exposed to potentially life threatening illness. How many people had been exposed and got the same illness and how long it was there for. Maybe I will just fork out a couple hundred dollars for my own washer and dryer so I don't have to die of flesh eating bacteria. Finally the doctor calls my name. I sit down and he helps ease my nerve. It's nothing too serious or life threatening. Just a fungal infection much like ringworm or something of that nature. He tells me. Probably from a gym or laundromat. Shocking! :/ needless to say I won't be sharing washers with hobos again in the near future. read more

My first review in awhile and what is it? That's right. A laundromat. Well a pretty fantastic one. I walked in after a longgg day and I was definitely feeling moody. Anthony, one of the owners, was cleaning one of the machines and greeted me warmly by saying if I needed anything to let him know. I have to say that the cleanliness here goes above and beyond. I didn't feel icky about putting some of my best in the machines. When it came time to dry he explained that it's a quarter every 5 min and to not load the machine with more $$ than necessary. I was able to browse with high speed wifi comfortably on my laptop and I also felt completely safe as a woman near the closing hours of 9-10 pm. Whether you have jumbo comforters to wash or a few items in a pinch, this is the place! read more

This Coin-Op is next to a car wash and across from Marie's Donuts. It has ample parking and usually pretty busy. There's plenty of washers and dryers but I find it on the expensive side. 3 big front loaders ($3.50 a load) but not so big that it would accommodate a king size comforter. It would fit.. but barely. It's brightly painted inside and the carts are newer here than most places. It also has several folding tables. The place itself isn't too shabby but the people that go there and the price.. I'd rather go somewhere else. read more

This was my first visit to the Freeport Laundry and it was a very good visit. I went on a weekday, early morning. The laundry was clean, well lit, and had many carts and folding tables. The prices were very reasonable (far more reasonable than the laundromats I've been to in East Sac and Midtown) and the entire atmosphere was very pleasant. The owner was also very cheerful and friendly. I'll be back! read more

I just witnessed a very disturbing incident. A woman was doing her laundry and another customer, who was drunk and reeked of alcohol, accused her of stealing his clothes. He was told that his clothes were in another dryer but he didn't want to hear it. He started harassing the woman and following her around. The manager was watching and listening but did nothing to help her or intervene. The woman tried to reason with this drunk and even opened her dryer and said, "See, do these look like your clothes?" Because they were not. Then he started tearing the bags that she had put her clean laundry in because he insisted there were in there. The manager actually told her to let him look in her bags so that he could be sure she didn't have his things. This same manager saw what was going on and didn't try to help the woman in any way, but he was willing to side with the drunk white man. The woman was Black and I honestly think that influenced the do-nothing manager to assume she was guilty. The drunk even went outside and called the police on her. Finally the white drunkard looked in the dryer that he was told to look in from the beginning, and there were his clothes. It's clear that women are not safe at Freeport Laundry. The manager damn sure won't help you out if a man starts harassing you. Especially if you are a Black woman. Luckily this woman happens to know the owner and she is going to tell him what happened. In fact, she knows the manager because she has been going there regularly for so long. As all this was going down she even said to him, "You know me!" Didn't matter to Mr. Do-Nothing. This is so sad and infuriating. I'm so angry and I feel like crying at the same time. This woman couldn't just do her laundry in peace without being humiliated. I hope that manager is fired. I, for one, will not go back if he's still there. read more

I honestly hate having to even use a laundry mat but this is the only laundry mat in the area that I like to go to the other ones are not as clean and they have a lot of thumbs around and what not also the young gentleman that works there is awesome super friendly and it's just a great place to kind of do laundry if you don't have a washer and dryer you know that you're putting your stuff in a clean washer or a clean dryer you see how much work they put into keeping it clean and nice for everybody to be able to use they need to give that man that works there a raise he's doing an awesome Helpful as can be NN anyway possible read more

After a few beers this place starts to look kind of attractive. If you're a writer looking for story fodder, this might be a good spot to people watch. I've seen tweakers open and close and open and close and open and close dryers here (at which point I started to worry because it was just me and said tweaker in the joint), baby daddies slap their kids silly in the corners, weird old people eat hamburgers over other people's laundry piles (gross), and countless people pick the "bad" dryers that eat your change and never start. Hint: if you like a hot dry, dryers 8 through 10 never fail. Today I watched a little girl obsess herself to death about the tiny little trail of ants that was invading the floor of the entire laundromat. She stomped and stomped and stomped them ants dead. This would have been more fun to watch if this place had air conditioning. Why do I keep coming back here? Maybe I'm a laundry masochist. Maybe it's the sordid fascination with watching other people parenting badly. Or maybe I come here because while my laundry is washing I can shop at Taylor's and/or drink a pint at Dad's (or brownbag two or three in my car). Regardless, once I buy a house the first thing on my to do list is to buy a washer and dryer. Thanks, Freeport Laundry, for helping to clarify my priorities. read more

Good news! They are under new ownership. The new owners own a few other laundry mats and took this one over 4 weeks ago. It has been a while since i have used a laundry mat - I bought washer last year and line dry my clothes in my backyard because I am so "granola." But I was in a hurry the other day and stop by this laundry mat since it is the closest to my place. I used to go to East Sac for the laundry mat, but noticed the past few weeks that this place was looking better inside - less sketchy. The owner was there and he was super nice. You can tell he really has a passion for service. The machines worked great and was inexpensive as well. So - Curtis Park/Land Park Residents - you don't have to be afraid of this place any more. read more

This laundromat could definitely use some attention. Even though some guy was there he stayed put in the back instead of cleaning up the machines which had lots of noticeable hairs in them and around the edges. He also had a dog in the back room with him. It didn't bark that often but when it did it was super loud and made me jump. Sounded like a big dog. The bathroom was out of toilet paper and to top it off there was a roach struggling on its back the whole time I was in there. I also had a heck of a time trying to get the two dryers I used to accept my quarters. All of these things could be fixed if someone was actually working there and not just watching TV in the back. Hopefully the dog is friendly. On the up side this place has lots of parking and isn't crowded with people off the street. read more

I have been doing laundry here for two years and have never considered going anywhere else to do laundry. There's plenty of parking, free wi-fi, clean washers and dryers, and Anthony makes sure that the people at the laundromat are there doing laundry and not people just hanging out. I like that Anthony greets everyone, helps people with any questions related to laundry, maintains the equipment and cleans the place daily, and treats everyone with respect. I typically do my laundry once a week using the front load washer $3.00, top load washers $1.50, and can dry a full load of towels for $1.00 on the dryer. The dryers are great; for example, there are thin towels, and then the big thick towels that everyone loves; for $1.00 at a full load even these thick towels will dry. Awesome. read more
