I was charged nearly $1,000 by Williams Parrish Plumbing for clearing a single clog and performing a camera inspection at my residential property, even though the blockage was simply between the main house line and the public sewer connection. During the visit, the technician also noticed a leaking AC drain pipe in the crawl space but said that repair would require a separate charge. Being afraid of being charged another $1,000 for something minor, I decided not to ask them to fix it. Later, I found that other local plumbing companies (such as PlumbV in Cary) advertise the same type of drain clearing service for around $99, which makes me question the pricing transparency and fairness of this service. The technician appeared to perform a standard jetting job -- nothing beyond what any qualified plumber would typically do. I don't see what justified charging almost 5-8 times the market rate, especially considering the work only came with a 30-day warranty. read more

We had a simple backup in our plumbing in our home that is less than five years old. Our septic had just been drained. All we needed was for them to snake the clean out. They came out, did some random stuff, then claimed they needed to dig. my husband asked if they could just snake it and the guy said he didn't have the right snake for the job. in the end, they wanted to charge us $900 to unclog our plumbing. no thanks. what a rip off. They claimed it was a week long job, but did the job in one day. In the end, it came out to more than $400/hr. They didn't pull permits for the job. The work has been sitting, in disarray for almost a month, while I work with the county to address the permitting issues. I was way too naive and trusting. Do not use this company. read more

When our basement turned into a surprise indoor swimming pool one evening, our home warranty company dropped the ball and failed to get a plumber out to repair it after many repeated efforts on our part, leaving us without running water for several hot July days. My husband and I decided it was worth sourcing a plumber on our own, and many reading of reviews and makings of phone calls later we decided on William Parrish Plumbing and are very glad we did! Not only were our inquiries answered promptly and subsequent calls returned fast (unlike the two shoddy companies American Home Shield wanted us to waste time on), but our water woes were relieved by Scott that very day - and even earlier than initially scheduled! His work was unhesitating and professional (my husband enjoyed getting to watch and learn about the plumbing features of our 1950s house as Scott worked), which is no doubt helped by WPP plumbers arriving in fully stocked vans so they can get to work as quickly as possible in most situations. Pricing was very fair for the type of repair needed, and communication from everyone from Scott to the lady at the front desk was helpful and efficient. I opened the cabinet door under my kitchen sink last evening to find water, and lots of it. It was almost 5:00 when I called WP and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Within minutes of that call, Austin called to let me know that he was on his way right then (he had reconnected everything under the sink after our kitchen remodel was complete a few weeks ago). The drain hose that connected the dishwasher to the garbage disposal had broken, so it was nothing Austin had done. But he knew right away what needed to be done, ran to Lowe's to get the parts, and reattached the hose. I was very grateful when he tested the connection by running the dishwasher as well as the sink before leaving around 7 pm. When he was leaving, he told me "this one is on the house," which I so appreciated. To me, Austin went above and beyond, coming to my house at the end of his day to make sure my issue wasn't caused by something he had done previously and to make sure it was fixed properly. Thanks so much, Austin! Our house is 30 years old, and we have had a few plumbing issues over the last couple of years for which we have turned to WP for help. I reviewed this company on May 25, 2023, shortly after the work was performed. My primary complaint was I felt the pricing of approximately $650 was out of line for 1-1/4 hours of work and less than $30 in materials. On June 27 I received a call from my tenant the two sharp points of "something" had penetrated the wall in the bedroom adjacent to the bathroom where a technician from William Parrish Plumbing had replaced the tub faucet, shower head and water control valve which came in a kit by Delta. I provided the kit. Going to the rental house to determine what I needed to do and the cause of the problem I found the two screws the technician had used to secure the water valve to a 1"x 4" were 3" in length and the sharp points had penetrated the wall in the adjoining bedroom. I removed them and installed two 2' screws which firmly held the valve in place. The next step was to use joint compound to fill the two small holes and then repaint the entire wall. I have never been happy with the outcome when I try to paint small patches on walls that have been painted for 4 or 5 years. One full day of work to keep my excellent tenant happy to live in the house she has been in for 5 years. One day of work caused because the plumbing technician from William Parrish Plumbing decided to not walk to his truck to get the proper length of screws or possibly he did not have them and needed to make a trip to a near by ACE Hardware to buy two screws of the proper length or ask me if I had two he could use. read more
