Never a dull moment here at Willamette! Shantel, Jennifer all the staff are always the best at making our experience exceptional! With great wines and gorgeous ambiance this is the best tasting room to stop in with your friends, dates or whatever the occasion. They serve apps from Scott's so it's the perfect pairing. If you are in Old Folsom this is a Must stop! Don't snooze on this one. Make reservations they get busy during peak hours.

Shantel was a superstar walking us through our blending experience. The wine was great and the cheese bread was excellent. We had a blast and look forward to our next visit. Thank you! Rick and Joanne Holshevnikoff

The Ambiance is superb. Shantel was the best server. She explained the different wine notes and recommended a great red blend. Will definitely be back. Thank you Shantel!

Willamette is our top place to go. For corporate events, meetings, happy hour and just time to relax and unwind with a glass of wine. The team makes the experience so pleasant and enjoyable. Jennifer, Shantel and Drew always seem to give 110% when taking care of us and it makes me want to keep coming back. 10/10 experience every time.

What a nice environment! Easygoing and welcoming. Our wine hostess was so knowledgeable and engaging, and honestly it's the staff that makes this place stand out. We were there at 5:00pm, but they had 10:00am energy. Loved them all Couldn't go wrong with the Founders list of wines that showcase Willamette Valley. The Syrah is actually from Walla Walla valley and really stood out. Had live music too which was great. Will definitely come back soon Also its pronounced Will-AM-it like DAMN-it. All this time I thought it was like William-ETTE. Nope.

Cute local winery joint with unfortunately wine that didn't work for me. The best I had was the red blend which didn't compare to others in the region. The servers were friendly and helpful, which was great in creating a welcoming atmosphere for us who has never been there before.

Yesterday I celebrated my 27th birthday with Willamette. So grateful for their team! It was such a hit. Definitely coming back and doing more events with them- such great hosts, and everything was flawless. From the food to the WINE of course, it was the best birthday I have ever had! Thank you so much to Jennifer for the hard work and planning she put into the event. I couldn't have done it without her.

Wine Pickup Day!!…read more SITREP You know what I love about Wine-Pickup-Day? There's a free wine-tasting on the new varietals that have come in since you were last there! THE SETUP Actually became a fan of this wine brand when visiting their main site - Crystal Basin Cellars - up in Camino, CA. The Owens-owners are fun peeps and hosted a big group of us, taking us on a tour through their local vineyards. Have been up several times since over the last several years. Mr. Owen has regaled me with his debonair styles as he has had me enjoy a couple of bottling sessions there in Camino. SO.MUCH.FUN! THE REDNECK CLUB! (YEEE-YAWWW!) For a (relatively) poor working-schmuck like me, the Owens kindly have different tiers of Wine-Club membership, and luckily for me, the "bottom-of-the-barrel" (ME implicitly *wink!*) club is the "Red Neck Club!" - three (3) bottles of wine every 3 months! *Schawinnng!* That one was made for me! CRYSTAL BASIN STATION In the interim, Crystal Basin Cellars has expanded - like Caesar marching across ancient-Europa - their empire to include Folsom, CA! *Yeeee-Hawwww!* This means that when I'm impeded by travel-circumstances, I don't have to alway go up HWY 50 to Camino to get my wine! Mrs. Owen has kindly been "stationed" (exiled? Haha!) @ Crystal Basin Station with the same deLISH wine we would also find in their Cellars-location. And this was a special trip since I was almost a year behind on collecting my wines, so instead of 3 and I was able to collect my accumulated nine (9) wines! NEW VARIETALS! And you know what that means, right? NEW WINES!! So along with the usual wonderful wines - Sauvignon Blanc & Rose - Mrs. Owen had me try their newer Pommie (Pomegranate Sparkling) and the Fiano (a deeper rose varietal). Both were fruity, the Pommie being sharp & refreshing, and the Fiano a delightfully smooth to the tongue taste-treat. THE LOWDOWN Definitely worth the trip to Folsom to grab some wines at Crystal Basin STATION. [And don't forget to visit some time the main facility Crystal Basin CELLARS up in Camino!

The cornbread is great, make sure to order it when you sit down as it takes a few minutes to come out. My husband and I shared the shishito peppers, which were fresh, spicy, and yummy! I then had the pasta dish, which was delicious! The sauce was rich, and I loved the noodles and chunks of steak in it. My husband loved his steak plate and the sides that came with it. Great drinks too! My husband stuck with dirty martinis and red wine. I had a lemon drop (so yummy), a strawberry fields from their menu (also yummy!), and a small mini cocktail of what I believe was a lemon meringue cocktail! Shoutouts to: -Erika (not sure of the spelling; the very sweet owner of this establishment, along with her dad and brother!) -Elly (our friend who works here, and whose husband told me about this wonderful place! She is awesome!) -Indiana (our server! She was super sweet and attentive!) Definitely check this place out whenever you get a chance! The drinks were really good and the food we had was tasty, so we were excited to come back and even chose the location for a birthday gathering. Unfortunately, the experience with a larger group was very different. When we arrived, our table wasn't ready and we ended up waiting quite a while. After finally sitting down, we were largely ignored for about an hour. No one brought drinks, and we didn't have silverware or menus for a while, which made the start of the evening pretty frustrating. When the food finally came out, it was also disappointing. Some dishes arrived while others didn't, and the timing was very off. The chicken was dry and overly salty, and overall the food felt pretty mediocre compared to what we had experienced before. I really applaud what they're trying to build there because the bar experience and drinks have been enjoyable in the past. However, it seems like they may not quite be ready to handle large parties yet. It was unfortunately not the kind of experience that made us excited to return right away.

We just had our wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful! This location was nice and close for…read morethe majority of my family and easy to get to for our out-of-town guests. The garden area for the ceremony was so clean and had a lot of beautiful greenery and florals for our spring wedding. Cocktail hour was on the covered patio (with fans and low tables and chairs that made it more comfortable for our older guests) and had a beautiful view of the course. The conservatory (where we had the reception) was absolutely beautiful and the venue just recently had their ceiling draping permanently installed, and it just made it that much more beautiful in there. One of the things I loved about this venue was that everything was in one location, which made it easy for our guests to move from one area to the next. Everything turned out exactly how I envisioned and a huge part of that is thanks to Kelle, our day of coordinator. She made sure that everything ran smoothly, that the decor was placed where I wanted it, and that we were all taken care of. Throughout the whole planning process, Kelle was always so upbeat, helpful, and had great communication. She was always available for any of my questions and was very accommodating with any and all requests my parents and I had. The GBGC staff was extremely professional and very attentive to my husband and I and our guests the whole day. One of the biggest highlights that my friends and family are still talking about (almost two months later) was the FOOD!!! I can't even keep track of how many people have complimented and raved about the food at our wedding. I didn't realize this initially, but the venue tray passed both food AND drinks during cocktail hour. This was so nice for guests to focus on mingling and enjoying the atmosphere rather than waiting in a line the whole time. The appetizers we chose were the veg flatbread pizza, coconut shrimp, and the teriyaki beef skewers. All of them were absolutely delicious! The one thing my dad said was that the guests who were sitting at tables at the furthest end of the patio weren't able to get many appetizers because the GBGC staff were coming out the door on the opposite end and were getting swarmed by the other guests before they made their way down the patio. My dad mentioned this to the staff and they were quick to make adjustments and started sending waiters out the farthest door to get to those other guests. This was so appreciated! For dinner, we chose the beef short ribs, the chicken, and the mushroom ravioli. ALL meals were devoured and once again, my friends and family were raving about how good everything was.. even the bread and butter! Lol. It truly was our best day ever and a huge part of that is thanks to Kelle and the venue! I am so happy we chose to get married at Granite Bay Golf Club and would highly recommend this venue for any of your future events!

About a month has passed since we celebrated our wedding at Granite Bay GC, and in retrospect, I…read moredon't think we could've made a better decision in choosing our venue and our event manager -- Kelle Collier. I will preface this review of Kelle by underscoring the fact that she wants your "BIG DAY" to be even more perfect than you want it. And with that said, her passion and precision is on full display from the minute you're sitting down for a consultation; to the moment of reprieve when you realize that your event was a huge success. Kelle's fingerprints are all over it, so just make sure that you pair up Kelle's management skills with a coordinator of equal caliber. Now, enough about Kelle and let's start talking about Granite Bay GC. This golf club is gorgeous! From the beautiful 18 hole golf course -- to the small lake and the wooden bridge that curves alongside the landscape; the view from here is absolutely stunning. Your photographer will be in heaven. I promise you! They have a lovely outdoor garden area that's designated for your ceremonial vows, and an indoor banquet hall that lights up with class and elegance once it's fully decorated. I haven't even gotten to the food yet. Whoever GBGC hired as their lead Chef is doing a phenomenal job. I applaud you Mr. Chef of GBGC. As a foodie and a native to Los Angeles, the food in Sacramento is truly lackluster to say the least. I know... I know, what about The Kitchen and Mulvaney's, and Morton's and Ruth's Chris, and blah blah blah. Yes, those are about as good as it gets and I still have all fingers fisted in one of my hands. They serve their food buffet style, so all of your guests will attend your event and go home satisfied. That's my word! If we can only spread the food quality at GBGC to the rest of the Sacramento Valley! And if we can only clone Kelle Collier like Tesla's Opimus to ensure that everyone in the greater Sacramento region will always have their big day end in fireworks. Wouldn't that be a dream? Well, at least for those of us choosing GBGC as our venue of choice, that dream is already our reality. Thank you GBGC for making our night special.
