I'm writing this review to express appreciation for the server, Jennifer and manager Drew. Four of us were there on Thursday during the concert. It was packed. Jennifer didn't miss a beat with her exceptional customer service. She was hospitable, cheerful and efficient. We moved from the outside to inside because of the heat -- their attitude was, "no problem!" Jennifer served wine and food inside and outside. This place was fantastic. I made reservations for winetasting, but I didn't make reservations to blend my own wine. After we checked in and asked if it was possible, they came back and said we could do it. I really appreciated them going above and beyond. Torri helped us and she was amazing. She was super knowledgeable about all the wines. So the fun part is after you taste all the base wines i.e. grenache, and uhh and I forgot the rest ‍. Then you get to do percentages of this wine and that wine and mix them together and then see if it tastes good. I felt like Doc from Back to the Future, all mad scientist like . We stopped in yesterday for a couple hours and had a really nice visit outside, overlooking the railroad turn-around. Such a pretty view in the high top chairs. We were served by Dave Dickson and he did a fantastic job and made some great wine and food recommendations. He was right every time. She walked us through what to expect, pricing, food options and instilled confidence throughout the entire process. Found this gem that i really don't want to tell anyone about. But if it's great i want others to know about the service and experience. Stumbled in here around 115 on a Saturday thanks to fellow yelpers. We totally chanced coming without reservations and were greeted with "we can make space"! I was so surprised since of course covid is taking over and making everything so limited. Welp we were seated on the gorgeous patio with some beautiful scenery to take in. ROBERT our server was great start to finished. It was a bit cold so i requested for the heater and he also let me know they had a blanket for my lap if that wasn't enough. I ordered the reserve flight and he ordered a flight of whites. Robert was very knowable of the wines and was sure describe each to us. For pairing we ordered chocolates and the raspberry truffle was my fav. Ended up taking some home. It's such a nice tucked away place to just relax and take in the day with some wine and peace. Wow this is a cooler spot than we anticipated! We stopped in after dinner at Scott's downstairs to try a flight and experience the vibe. The floor plan is one large space with a lot of tables and a fire pit with seating around it. This is where we chose to sit. There is also a wrap around deck that overlooks the courtyard where the Xmas tree and ice rink is located. It was an hour to closing so not many patrons left in the dining room. Flights were reasonably priced and super delish! Our server gave us a nice description of the origin of each wine. My flight of Pinot were all from Oregon. Hubs' combo flight were from local wineries. We were given a thorough overview of the wine club, so much so that we ended up joining! Such a great deal and wine tastings served as a confirmation of more fine wines to come! I definitely would recommend checking this place out and learning about the wine club!! The only thing that I would suggest is for the lighting to be dimmed to give it a more cozy vibe. read more

Went to Willamette yesterday & was disappointed that they have partnered with Scott's for their food menu. The food wasn't great & everything is overpriced. The food including charcuterie boards were better when it was Willamette's food. They also do not take cash & my elderly parents had $200 cash on the table that they would not accept & it became an issue. Establishments need to STOP being "cashless" we are not a cashless society & forcing it is wrong. I gave three stars because the ambiance, service & wine were still good. read more

Don't let the 2 $ signs fool you. This was $350 for a tasting for 5 people with no food. I hardly ever do this but I have been dissatisfied and disappointed since yesterday's wine tasting with my friends at Willamette Wineworks in Folsom. This was by far the most expensive outing I've ever had and we did not even have food, and probably enjoyed a totality of 6 OZ OF WINE EACH. The reason being, we did not enjoy this wine and my friends poured it out in the spittoon bucket. Also, the 2 oz pour is hardly a 2 oz pour, i don't know if this diamond on the smaller wine glasses is truly 2 ounces, but we were never offered a drop over, but usually under. The only redeeming quality of your tasting room is the service, that was it. I am truly dissatisfied with the price of the tasting, it is wild!! I lived in San Rafael, but recently I've frequented Napa, Sonoma, Lodi, Clarksburg with the same 5 people and the most we have paid is $50 each and ENJOYED the wine. It is one thing about having guilt about the price of something you actually enjoyed, but this does not sit right with me because none of us enjoyed the wine, and I don't feel we should have paid this much for minuscule pours that we poured out. Save your money and go somewhere else affordable and better, like twin rocks or literally anywhere else. read more

This pretentious tasting room caters to the tourist traffic with wines that struggle to reach the peak of mediocrity. These overpriced tastings (3 skimpy tastings: $12. $18, $24, $30) hide behind flourishy tasting notes that would leave a Shakesperian actor breathless. We had the white & pinot flights. All 6 were thin, lacking structure and IMHO young. The wines were all pretty thin & watery. The exception was the granache blanc which had some good fruit and moderate structure. Service was slow and lackluster. The olives & nuts were good. For some wonderful tasting experiences I suggest a 30 minute drive up interstate 50 to some of the family wineries in "Apple Hill". I recently had the opportunity to visit Williamette, and I must say, it was such an incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is located above Scott's Seafood on Sutter, which adds to the ambiance and overall experience. The wine was absolutely amazing. The food was incredible. From what we heard, the chef makes a lot of the sauces and dressing from scratch. We had the pleasure of speaking with Tori. She was so amazing. Her knowledge on wine, food, regions and Williamette Winery was extensive and educating. She truly was wonderful to talk to and took care of us well. Overall, I would highly recommend Williamette if you are looking for a high-quality experience. Perfect for a date, business meeting, family gathering, all of the above. I had no idea when I met a friend at Willamette Wineworks what kind of experience I was in for but WOW! Although I didn't have the opportunity to try Scott's Seafood because I had a large birthday lunch, it looked absolutely delicious. Make sure you definitely save room for a shrimp cocktail! The place was gorgeous and a beautiful spot to meet your friends. I predict it's going to be very hard to get into this place once it starts going. They also have a separate room for small private parties complete with its own wine blending station. She made my experience at Willamette a night that I will never forget! Not only was the service amazing, but the place is absolutely stunning. My husband and I had a great time here last night! We've been to the winery in Oregon and LOVED their Pinots, so we were so excited to learn they had a tasting room this close to home. The atmosphere is great and it feels both upscale and comfortable. The artichoke dip is delicious (as is the wine, of course). We asked her to recommend some wines, and she asked us what we normally drink and some other questions and picked out different wines for me and my two friends. All three of us loved what she chose!
