Fun festive pumpkin patch! This family run pumpkin patch is in the heart of Folsom. This was perfect for small children as it isn't huge like many other patches. They have a variety of pumpkins for sale, and reasonably priced. They have tractor hay rides, animals for petting (bunnies, goats, & chickens) and pony rides. They had a corn maze/tunnel that the children loved running through. And the rocking horse corral was a big hit. And it was reasonably priced. We will be back at Christmas, when it turns into a tree farm! read more

I came here with my family for their pumpkin patch in October. We had such a great time. We came early so the parking wasn't bad at all and it wasn't too hot. It's such a cute, family-friendly place. They had all different sizes of pumpkins, some food to purchase, a small petting zoo, a tractor/trailer ride, and small area of little pumpkins and rocking horses to sit on. We met several other families there and thoroughly enjoyed our time. (Pumpkins are also reasonably priced). read more

Small but free pumpkin patch. Pumpkins are priced like other pumpkin patches in the area. Staff is friendly great for smaller kids. read more

ANIMAL ABUSE!!! Animal control was called because a staff member spanked a pony. The pony was eating the bottom of a girl's dress, and the staff member hit the pony (forceful enough to hear the slap from multiple yards away), saying that the pony "knows better" and "needs to be taught a lesson." There were also numerous animals in very small enclosures - did not seem appropriate or humane. Please take your business to one of the many other patches in the area. read more

I'm not sure why we've never gone to Zittel Farms until this year! It's not that far from us and it is a hidden gem!!!! First off, there is tons of parking!!!! And it's free! They have everything we could ask for from pumpkins (a ton of different colors & sizes), a corn maze, piggies, baby chicks, a rocking horse corral, fresh kettle corn and more! Prices were decent. And everyone was super friendly and nice. We will definitely be back next year!!! read more

The animals are in extremely small, wire enclosures. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope they are only in them during the day. I don't see another place for them tho...they did have adequate water and food. But the size of the pens is skirting the lines of abuse and is absolutely unacceptable. read more

Very sad treatment of the animals. A mini pony in a 7x7ft square fence, no room to run or even walk. A cow completely covered in flies, her eyeballs swarmed to the point she probably couldn't even see. 3 turkeys in a tiny dog crate. I would not recommend this place, when there are many other options around. Pumpkins are also $30 for the large ones that are exactly the same as the $6 ones elsewhere. read more

This was our first time here and it was so disappointing and disorganized. There was no sign stating where to pay for pony rides or the "hay" ride, the staff didn't even know what was going on. There was no line for any if the rodes so many were just standing around unsure if what to do. What broke my heart was seeing the cow and goats tied up to a fence and to props with no shade or water and with 2-3 feet worth of rope to move around with and the goats were still struggling. Do better! read more

Abusive staff- witnessed a worker hitting the pony because it chewed on girl's dress. The enclosures for all of the animals were very small and sad. Left without buying pumpkins and would not recommend giving any money to an organization that treats their animals this way. read more

Cruel and abusive to the animals there!! There was a cow, chickens and goats with very small enclosures- clearly only there for patron entertainment. But the worst was a pony in an extremely small enclosure. A young girl went up to pet the pony and he started chewing her dress through the fencing and didn't let go right away when she pulled away- when the attended saw he SMACKED the pony really hard. Everyone who saw gasped, the attended tried to defend himself saying the pony "knows better". I left immediately. read more

A wonderful Folsom mainstay, been going there for over 20 years. Pumpkins, Xmas trees, fresh veggies.. etc.

What a fun little place to take young kiddos. My in-laws took my son for his first pumpkin patch visit and said it was a great time. A little dusty and crowded, but that's to be expected on a farm, the weekend before Halloween. I think Zittel Farms is a great place to go for your littles first pumpkin patch experience, and we will definitely go back next year with our newest little to do it again. read more

Beautiful little farm, had a great time here during the pumpkin patch . It's small and perfect size if you have little babies or toddlers, great little settings to take beautiful pictures! Nice little place to spend a couple of hours! read more

This is the best decorated pumpkin patch I've seen! Decor: I love that there are plenty of pretty wagons with cute puppets/bears to take family photos with! There's also a small tunnel for kids to go through- so cute! The Pumpkins: all kinds of pumpkin varieties, including traditional orange and white ones. They are in all kind of sizes you can ask for, $2-$15 Depending on size and type. Most people buy huge ones! Parking: not scarce by any means, since they have their own parking lot. However, the parking spots are small and tight. There also is another lot if you go further down. Great place to go with friends and family! read more

Funny I have never been here before even after living in Folsom for 7 years and I have never been here. Super close and convenient compared to Apple Hill. Cute displays of pumpkins, wagons, tractors, gourds, etc for fall photos with the littles. Admission is free- there are a few goats and pigs as well as a small corn maze. Pumpkin are reasonably priced and they also sell rocking horses, decor, and kettle corn. Parking lot in the front is small but there is additional parking in the back. I would get here early as it can be a little crowded. read more

A special thanks to Gayle for her customer service and personal touches. She picks the best corn stalks upon request and takes time to share details with every question. read more

They are open! Fun little spot with everything you would want from a pumpkin patch. A great variety of pumpkins, friendly goats, paths through corn stalks, kettle corn of course, and lots of cool stuff to buy. It's got a great location close to multiple towns, so come check it out! read more

What a sad pumpkin patch. Its small. All the pumpkins are not grown there. Instead are in grocery store boxes. The staff was rude. It was run down. Most of the pumpkins were rotten. There were creepy rocking horses with cow skulls and wigs. All in all it was a huge let down. Just go somewhere else. read more

Kids love this pumpkin patch. They provide wagons for pumpkins but can also be used for the Littles. They love riding in them

Took my granddaughter today as we have done for the last 3 years. I needed to get 40 mini pumpkins for preschool and I believe in supporting local farms. I was told no discounts so we will buy at walmart tomorrow for half the price and won't return next year. read more

We were VERY DISAPPOINTED to see so few people wearing a mask here on a busy Saturday afternoon. Our 2 kids and their grandparents were really looking forward to picking out a wagon full of pumpkins today but we opted to leave since the employees we saw and most of the patrons were not wearing masks :( read more

We decided to support Folsom's "last agricultural farm" this year and get our pumpkins from Zittel Farms. It wasn't the hands on, pick your own pumpkin off the vine experience we are used to, but we still had a lot of fun. They've got groups of pumpkins and gourds for the kids to pick from. They have one pumpkin from each size category lined up with the price listed so you can tell what you are getting at a glance before even lugging it into the building. There are plenty of wagons to make the lugging easier, thankfully. They have a petting zoo (a teenage boy was manning the gate the day we went and he was so very nice to the younger kids), a play area, and pony rides. There are also some goats with a little "candy" machine nearby that you can get a handful of goat treats out of and feed them. Be warned, though, one of the goats is very, very clever and will have that feed out of the machine quicker than you! They also sell country crafts and decorations. The people who work there are so nice. My family had a really good time. read more

Amazing place! We have been coming here for years, and are so delighted they are still around! Super friendly people; a true GEM in Folsom!

I have been coming here for years. With everything developing around them, I'm glad they are still there. Only place to support a local business during Halloween and Christmas. I buy all my cornstalks and pumpkins here during Halloween and they always have a fantastic selection of trees at Christmas time. They actually stay fresh and green through Christmas. read more

Simple family farm that always makes a cute experience for young ones. My kids grew up here in Folsom going to this farm, so I never really realized other pumpkin patches charge an admission. This place is free (free parking too) and so cute for little ones, pictures, goats you can feed. They inspired me to grow a massive giant pumpkin last year. read more

Our school class came here for a field trip. The guide was not kid friendly and raised her voice several times. She even told a kid, "you don't need to move, just stand still." This was to a 4 yr old who was being very appropriate. The tour was mediocre and not worth the time. Very disappointed. read more

Second year we've gone to Zittel Farms, and this year was even better than last. I saw a previous poster's review from 2010 and found the experience exactly opposite. 1) plenty of activities for the kids, and lots of space to roam/run/explore. Some things you paid for (feeding the animals, pony rides) and some you didn't (exploring the farm equipment and a hay ride) 2) lots of different types and sizes of pumpkins - definitely more than you see at the grocery store. Yes, they might be cheaper somewhere else, but I'm willing to spend a little more (same price as the local garden center) to support a local, family run farm and give me kids a farm experience. 3) The prices were clearly marked on everything - complete with a sample of the size of pumpkin for the cost. I loved that the owner was there, talked to me about his farm and it seemed like the whole family was pitching in. The kids had a great time and it saved us from leaving Folsom (always a bonus in my opinion)! Lastly, I asked about farm fresh eggs. Turns out they do have them at the produce stand, so we'll be back for more than just Halloween pumpkin fun. read more

Great local pumpkin patch. They are open everyday during the season. Parking is kinda tight but you can find one easily as people do come and go. Amazing that it is right next to a strip mall. Pumpkins are somewhat expensive but you're here for the experience. My child had fun at the tractor that blows bubbles. This will definitely be a family annual outing. read more

I think it's so cool that Folsom has a farm in the middle of town; across the street from McDonald's nonetheless. I regularly visit their produce stand in the summer months. Depending on the time of year, you'll find tomatoes, melons, corn, peaches, squash, eggplant, herbs, and other items. It's farm fresh, reasonably priced, and it works works on the honor system (just leave money in the jar). Love it. read more

Perfect little farm to come with small ones! The month of October is best to come when there are still a lot of pumpkins of every kind, fresh corn maze, and hayrides for $1. They have a baby cow, goats, pigs, baby chicks and kids play area with rocking horses and tractors. For a farm it's clean and a great family place. The layout is open and animals are in different locations but they have cute wagons to pull around. The produce stand is ! Don't miss out! read more
