Its hard to keep my comments short...From the moment that we contacted Will Taylor, we knew this was the band for us. While my wife's family is from Austin, our wedding in Austin was more of a destination wedding given where everyone else was coming from. Because of this, we really went all out in creating a weekend to really showcase Austin. We had a rehearsal dinner planned at Thurman's Mansion at the Salt Lick on Saturday night and wanted a band that could deliver an upbeat classic rock style show, but also needed a band for our Sunday brunch reception at the Four Seasons which we wanted an acoustic and intimate performance for, so we couldn't decide if we needed to book two bands, but hoped we could find one person who could handle everything. We are huge music fans and were very particular in what we were looking for each night, and even had a particular song that we wanted played for our first dance that was a little out of the ordinary, so we knew the band would need to learn it. We reached out to multiple bands that were referred to us and some that we found on our own. We found Will Taylor after seeing him listed both on the Four Seasons website and on The Knot. After listening to some performances we were confident that he would be able to handle both events. From the moment we contacted Will and his representatives, we were treated with the utmost professionalism and good Austin nature that we were looking for. After explaining what we were looking for, they were able to come up with a plan for both events using an array of their musicians. We set up a Saturday night "electric" show featuring a 5 piece band that covered classic rock and Texas country favorites that dazzled the crowd for 3 solid hours. For Sunday, Will put together an acoustic group with Karen Mal as the lead singer that could not have been better suited for a Four Seasons Brunch on a Sunday morning. While you may be reading this and saying "how much did that cost you?", Will was very attentive to our budget and we were able to find common ground on a price for both events that in retrospect I consider an incredible value! I would recommend Will Taylor and Strings Attached to anyone, for any event. The professionalism that they showed, setting up without any instruction, and adapting to whatever we threw at them, far exceeded any expectation that we had. We used Will Taylor and Strings Attached for our wedding. They provided ceremony and cocktail hour music - I believe we had a cello and violin for the ceremony, and a violin, piano, and bass for the cocktail hour. They also provided the full band for our dinner and dancing reception. The music was one of my favorite parts of this very special evening! Everyone at our wedding danced the night away, and we had constant comments from people asking who the fantastic band was. I literally did not sit down all night! Will was very professional, organized, and easy to work with in the months leading up to the wedding. They listened to our requests and let us know what they could do to make the evening a blast for everyone. They took only a couple small breaks during the night, and at those times they helped us hook up our ipod so we could play music during the breaks. They even learned a special song for our first dance and performed it amazingly well - I will never forget it. I truly think the band made our reception and would recommend them to anyone! read more

I loved Will and the band form show #1. It was a Joni Mitchell Tribute at a church in Downtown Austin. WOW. Will Taylor & Strings Attached is the best group in Austin, TX, for quality live music. These guys can back up an artist like Shawn Colvin, live on stage or add amazingly soulful sounds to an original song in the studio. They have evening length shows that tribute to artists like Zeppelin and James Taylor. And to make the masses happy, they came out with a wedding band, too! Thanks Strings Attached! If you're looking for a wedding band that plays weddings, but is actually a darn good live band in disguise as a wedding band, this is the band you want! They play everything from jazz, country and rock, to swing blues and Motown. I love this group, and I highly recommend them for your next party, special event, or wedding. Saturday, Sep 15th, I had the distinct pleasure of seeing Dana Cooper play with Will Taylor & Strings Attached at what Will calls, "Strings on Grass". Will, I really enjoyed the show. Honestly, I really had no idea who Dana was. Your posts on Facebook helped uncover his aspects and talents. There was a moment when I felt an amazing sense of peace during one of the songs (couldn't tell you which one). Tearfully, I rode along on waves of emotion shared between you and Dana. I felt totally at peace and floated within the haunting solo's of guitar and violin. I appreciate the way you bring these fine musicians together and hope to continue to see as many shows as I can. Hey folks, Just want everyone to know that Will Taylor and Strings Attached are truly what Austin is about. Truly a must see and hear. Saw their incredible Rubber Soul show last night, 7/16/16, (in their still somehow rural South Austin front yard no less!) and it was a purely sublime interpretation of a Beatles classic work of art. What's amazing about the Will Taylor arrangements is how he and the group manage to actually enhance and bring new life to what are already bonafide classics. The ensembles' renditions merely serve to remind the listener of the genius that was the Beatles and how even like Beethoven or Gershwin, will easily stand the test of time and interpretation. Will Taylor and Strings Attached played at our wedding at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center for both the ceremony and the cocktail hour in the Butterfly Garden. We love live music and felt that our outdoor location and atmosphere really was enhanced with live musicians there. I really feel like people notice those little things and it feels like you are throwing a well-thought out event. We used an iPod to play our recessional song because that particular song was important to us. But overall you choose live musicians because you want that atmosphere. I have been a fan of Will Taylor & Strings Attached for several years now, which actually makes me somewhat of a newcomer, since they have been making beautiful music in Austin for much longer than that. I have been to dozens of their shows, with different line-ups of performers in addition to their core members. It is always a treat for the ears and eyes! To say that they "cover" songs by other artists, is seriously an understatement. Joshua and I would like to thank Will Taylor for doing the music at our wedding. Joshua and I got married in November 2016 and had Strings Attached do our music. We had several of our friends tell us that our wedding was the best they had ever been to and I'm sure that was in part because of the awesome music we had. These musicians are absolutely phenomenal and I am really impressed with what they can do. Will Taylor and Strings attached w/ Tameca Jones recently played our Grand Opening party at lululemon athletica in the Domain. They were absolutely incredible and such talented musicians. They definitely created the mood for our party and encouraged everyone to move. They were completely professional from start to finish, arriving promptly to set up and tear down. We hired Will Taylor and Strings Attached for my daughter's wedding and were very happy with our experience. They are especially outstanding in that they can perform different kinds of music: jazz, country, cover band, etc. This worked great, because they played light jazz as the wedding guests entered for the reception (and while they dined), and then switched to a cover band for dancing. We had a wonderful string quartet play at my daughter's wedding at Vista West Ranch in Dripping Springs this past weekend. They helped create the perfect ambiance during the cocktail hour, ceremony and the start of the reception before our DJ took over. Denise Martin I saw Will Taylor and Strings Attached at Urban Campfires in March. They were the epitomy of Texas. Willie Nelson songs (and others) done in the style of Bob Wills. After picking out and submitting the songs I wanted to have played, my church provided us with some restrictions, which affected the selections we had already made. Will was very accommodating with our changes, and everyone was blown away at the incredible combination of classic rock and church appropriate music that he was able to put together! You all were great! I think the audience was a bit subdued due to the environment. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But the mood should match the music and Libby is such an upbeat, quirky artist; the audience didn't match her mood. But I'm not complaining, the church was beautiful.
