We hired Austin Elite for our wedding. We decided to order our food from a restaurant. Austin Elite was responsible for picking up the food and plating the meals. Days before the wedding, I made a spreadsheet showing who was at each table and what each person was eating (this was not requested by Austin Elite). I did this to make it easier for them. On the wedding day, interactions with the staff of Austin Elite were unpleasant. My wife was told by our venue that she could park her car in the driveway to unload her car of items for our wedding. The driver from Austin Elite was unaware of this and was very rude towards her about her car being parked there. The staff was also rude to a few of our guests...not giving them charger plates and a table setting because they "thought they were our vendors." I ordered water goblets for each table from an outside vendor. We paid for full bar service from Austin Elite and they informed us that they had their own plastic cups. They served alcohol from our water goblets because they thought they were for our signature drinks. We had no water goblets left over for actual water. When the driver went to pick up the food from the restaurant, he never checked the order. The restaurant forgot to pack mashed potatoes. When the food arrived at the venue, the food was not checked for nearly 2 hours until they started plating it. Checking the food order is a part of Austin Elite's policy. Because of this slip up, they had to go back to the restaurant and get the potatoes. We were supposed to be served dinner at about 7:15 pm. We were not notified about the slip up until they made the decision to hold dinner until they got the potatoes. Our guests were not served dinner until almost 8:30 pm. In addition to this, the plating of the food was wrong. Austin Elite sent us home with nearly 27 pieces of chicken cutlets that were supposed to be served to the guest who ordered chicken. We ended up having to pay an additional amount of money to extend our time at the venue. I spoke to a supervisor at Austin Elite about the issues and she seemed to understand and wanted to accommodate us. That supervisor spoke to Kim (the owner) and she did not agree with what we were asking for. When we spoke to Kim, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. There was zero accountability on her behalf and she had no idea what happened at our wedding. The staff that night kept trying to cover for themselves. The driver communicated to Kim that he had arrived at the restaurant on time and that the restaurant took 45 minutes to bring out the food order. Kim said that had the restaurant brought the food out on time, they would have had time to check the order when the driver got back and dinner wouldn't have gotten pushed back. Upon investigation with the restaurant and their camera footage, the driver lied. The restaurant brought out the food immediately. Kim would not acknowledge or address this. She said we didn't hire enough staff for what we wanted done. We had communicated with Austin Elite several times about exactly what we wanted done and it was never communicated that we needed to hire more staff. Kim also said that it wasn't their responsibility to know how to plate the food. She said that her supervisor went above and beyond creating a spreadsheet for plating the meals - she was unaware that I created the spreadsheet without them requesting it. This was a terrible experience and I would not recommend hiring them for your event. read more

Amazing staff for wedding! We hired Austin Elite to help with setup, serving and breakdown for our wedding, and they were fabulous. My wedding coordinator said that Nora and Jacilyn were the best she's ever worked with because they were proactive, thought things through, and didn't need to be micro-managed. Frank was also helpful with breakdown the next day. They freed us up so our guests didn't have to think about anything, and between my coordinator and the staff, I didn't either! And I was right, thankfully: she is prompt, professional and a wizard with the art of entertaining. She helped us stay within our budget while still throwing a hell of a party. She's incredibly friendly, but also a straight-shooter--you can tell she has a good breadth of experience and knows where it's possible to cut corners, when needed. She was super sweet and asked a bunch of questions to be sure that they included everything I needed for the bar and buffet. I may have had the most complicated wedding catering that ever was, but Lauren Gaudet made it work. She's a magician. She spent hours on the phone with me and was so nice and patient with me! After contacting a few local restaurants to cater our wedding and not being happy with the offerings, my family and I decided to self-cater (eek!). My dad did barbecue chicken and brisket, vegetarian sausage, salad, cornbread, potato salad, etc. We realized we needed someone to handle the drinks and food the day of. We contacted a couple of staffing companies, but Austin's Elite was the most accommodating. Most places wanted to charge a package price, but Lauren was able to put together a more a la carte service that suited our needs. She handled rentals both through Austin's Elite and Premiere, and gave us recommendations for alcohol ordering, glassware, and everything else. The staff showed up the day of to pick up the food from my house (amazing! we thought we were going to have to schlep it). They mixed the margaritas, put together the buffet for us, served our pie, and cleaned everything up so we got our venue deposit back. I could not be happier with how everything went. Ok, since I gave great reviews to my day of wedding coordinator and wedding staff, at Austin's Elite Staffing, there have been email exchanges with the owner, Kim Haley, concerning some missing items that are incredibly rude. Unfortunately, a few items were missing when the wedding decor was packed up and brought back to my home the next day. My coordinator did everything she could to find the items. I sent an email to the owner, Kim, asking her about the progress...did they find the items yet. She was very rude, and pretty much blamed me for not hiring enough staff, overworking her staff, being cheap, and not appreciating the job they did for me. I paid them over $2000, and the rude and vicious attack I received from the owner about some items that were in her company's care was completely abhorrent. I would not recommend hiring Austin Elite Staffing for any event. read more

Our wedding was several months ago and I've finally gotten around to writing this review after so many of our guests have reminded me how awesome these folks are. I am admittedly high maintenance, so is my family; our wedding was extremely detailed with 6 phases of food, full bar, complicated signature drinks and demanding crowd in the music and service industry. Our expectations were very high and this crew blew us away! They were genuinely nice-not just fake wedding nice, professional, too inexpensive for what they gave, they came early and stayed late to finish, the place was neater then when they found it, their equipment was 5 star and so were their employees; they even had essential serving pieces that we needed that had been forgotten by our chef. Communication with Kim (the owner) before and after our wedding was pleasant and easy. Kim seemed to understand all the annoying details and time that goes into planning a wedding and all the responsibilities that fall on the bride and MOB; her and her staff took that to heart taking care of things before they were asked or even thought of. A staffing service can make or break an event and Austin's Elite made this such a wonderful memory that we get to cherish. We can't thank you enough!! read more

The working conditions for a very rustic wedding out in the country were less than accommodating to the service staff. Lots of necessary items were missing (like serving trays and bev. naps!). There were a lot of "Chiefs" and everything was disorganized. Britton came in with her crew, got her personal serving tray out of her car, and whipped everything into shape beautifully! As an Event Manager, I was recruited to "help out" for my family's wedding, but I was supposed to be a guest. After a while I was actually able to chat and grab a plate of food! These guys were AWESOME! Emily and Ed made it a huge success. I threw my parent's a surprise vow renewal and it was a large undertaking. I was on the fence about hiring staff which was crazy but they were so necessary. They not only took the reigns and helped me organize the catering, but they made themselves at home in the kitchen to find whatever was needed. We hired them to help us move ceremony chairs to the reception area, pass appetizers and drinks, warm catered dinner and plate meals, pour wine, cut cake and clean up! Money very well spent! Our wedding would not have happened without the bartenders and staff we hired! They were all soo nice and helpful and pitched in anywhere they could during set up and the reception. We hired 2 bartenders for our wedding of 110 people and there was never a line as well as 2 staff members to help set up and keep the reception clean. Was very disappointed in how they handled my rental. Firstly, very unorganized. I came in to pick up my rental and they acted like I was a crazy person and claimed they never had my order. One employee walked out to talk to other employee to see if he knew about it. She then proceeded to walk back inside and say that "he's going to come in and yell at you now." Um why would you ever say that to your customer?! Then they did find my order in their quickbooks system and said it never got pushed through to their upcoming orders. So then of course their demeanor immediately changed and were SO nice to me once they realized it was their fault and disorganization. Poor service and unprofessional handling of the situation at hand. I definitely will not use them in the future. Want to avoid disorganization and bad attitudes when planning my events. read more

We got married in our yard and hired 2 ladies from AES to help with what I thought would be light work - just picking up glassware, random silverware, napkins, etc. It ended up being MUCH more than I anticipated - either everyone was crazy hungry and ate like madmen, we have very messy friends, OR I just didn't know what I was getting myself into! They were AMAZING - not only helpful, doing things above and beyond like running to get ice, placing the cleaned glasses back in the rental containers, etc., but also incredibly nice and positive throughout the whole event! Wow....I will never go back to the days of hosting a party at my home without the help of Austin's Elite. I have hired other people to assist with parties, but none were as knowledgable and as helpful. What made the difference for me was their flexibility, creativity and expertise; especially when it came to bartender skills and mixology technique in making unique drinks. The owner went out of her way to take elegant platters to our catering site, so food could be plated beautifully. I was able to explain exactly how I wanted things, and they executed this in a most efficient and competent manner. Everyone went out of their way to go above and beyond the bare minimum and tailor everything to our needs. What a most wonderful New Year's Eve party we had. We used Austin's Elite for my daughter's wedding, and I couldn't be happier with the service and over-the-top friendliness with Lauren and Chris and the whole staff. The word "no" is simply not in their vocabulary, and they were more than fair and accommodating on their pricing. This was a 200 person event with lots of moving parts and a very particular bride.
