I have been reluctant to get my hair done in the midst of all going on in the world. Definitely not a critical necessity but important nonetheless. I could not have been more impressed by the safety measures taken by the salon and care to make sure I felt comfortable. I was met at the door by my stylist, Jess, who took my temp. She let me know ahead of time to please wear a mask and wore one too. There were no other stylists near her station, as they are working to stagger their shifts to mitigate working in close proximity. Every location, such as the shampoo bowl, was disinfected Immediately after my use. As always, Jessica worked her magic with a meticulous color and cut and made me feel beautiful and rejuvenated. I had won a free haircut, color & style with Audrey. This was not my normal salon & of course I was a bit apprehensive to have someone besides my regular hair dresser cut/dye my locks, right!? Well I was extremely pleasantly surprised that Audrey was sweet & smart & did a absolutely wonderful job. The receptionist with brunette hair has RBF but give her a chance omg what a sweet girl. They knew I was pregnant & while the color was processing she checked on me & turned the air down in the salon even because I was getting really hot & she brought me snacks & water. Just so so so sweet. & her hair cut just happened to be like exactly what I was looking for, so cute, & then Miss Audrey just so happened to be the one that cut it! How awesome is that!? So needless to say I was so happy with my hair & the color came out literally exactly the picture I showed her. I went from blonde highlights to a red. It's beautiful & I even purchased the shampoo & conditioner she used & I am so happy with it. My hair looks & feel so great I can't wait to start playing with it more & honestly I think I am swayed to leave my old hair dresser. Audrey has a better schedule for me which is a plus & the salon is closer to me. The salon itself is really cute & nice & big. It just feels luxurious to be there & that's how it should feel right!? i would never recommend going to this salon for a manicure. two weeks ago , i went to the salon to have a gel manicure. i purchased this gel manicure from groupon, when i arrive the nail tec told me i would have to pay another $5.00 for the gel??? even though the certificate was for a gel manicure. to make matters worse, after one week the gel has come off, and the job is a mess. when i talked to the manager , to keepp good will he would refund the $5.00, as of this date, two later, nothing. read more

I had been an on-going client of this salon back when they were "Cafe Paris' at 101/I-17. Had services by Christy, Angela, Jeff and lastly- Jess. They had moved their shop to Cave Creek/101 and I was in desperate need of a trim so I called and made an appt for the following day with Jess for 1pm. I arrived at 12:55, checked in at the front rec. desk and sat down. Normally, I know that there will be a wait, that's normal. But after....10 mins.....15.....20....25...30! With no one even checking on me to say, "Jess will be right with you...sorry for the wait" I began to get irritated. Now 40 minutes have gone by and I am mad! Nothing has been said. I walk out. Never to return. This salon and 'Jess' do not need my money or any more of my precious time. Just remember people- when you make an appointment it's not a suggestion it's a commitment. My time is just as important as yours. I hope this review helps others in making an informed choice. If they (J Anthony Salon) can't keep an appointment what else would they fall short on? this salon is along a busy street right by my work. I discovered it when looking for nearby salons and I've been three times since my first ever appointment. I've gotten my nails done and my hair cut there and the staff is really sweet. the nail tech I was with (Tammy) was so funny and made getting my nails done an amusing experience. she's talkative and easy to get along with. I've gone to two different women for my hair and I can't remember their names but they were both incredible and because of them and their hair care tips, I have noticed a huge improvement I my hair and its health. they offer all kinds of services here. check this salon out! read more
