I highly recommend having Kathleen Krysiak as an injector. she went over the products and didn't try to upsale any procedure i didnt need. She was very good at her technique and i hardly felt anything. But today, I woke up again devastated, with more broken pieces of my hair on my pillow. I stood in front of the mirror, heart sinking, running my hands through what's left, and seriously considered shaving it all off just to stop the emotional pain. I'm not just hurt. I'm heartbroken. I came to your salon as a loyal client, trusting not only in your skill but in your compassion. I believed I was more than a booking on the calendar--I thought we had a genuine connection. I thought my stylist was a friend. I kept telling myself, she cares... she'll make this right. But silence has been the only answer. What did I do to deserve this? I only asked to feel confident and beautiful for one of the most important days in my life--my sister's wedding. Instead, I left feeling humiliated. I couldn't even be part of the wedding party because of the state of my hair. And you knew how important that day was to me. I clearly asked for brown hair with strong money pieces and blonde ends. What I got was the exact opposite: dark black hair with massive, unblended chunks of blonde hidden underneath--like stripes. There were no money pieces, no brightness around my face--just a chaotic, patchy underlayer that doesn't even show unless I lift my hair. It's not just disappointing. It's devastating. I look in the mirror and feel like I'm in some kind of cruel joke--like the twilight zone. I've spent over $300 out of pocket already just trying to fix what was done. I've kept every receipt, every text, every photo--because I've had to explain this to so many stylists who were stunned by what they saw. I've had professionals tell me, "How could this have happened?" I even have video footage from the moment I was picked up from the salon because I needed proof that this wasn't just in my head. I wasn't asking for a miracle--just something close to what I requested. But what I received was so far from that it made me question my own sanity. And then, to be offered only a partial refund--as if that somehow compensates for the emotional and financial cost of this experience--is just salt in the wound. What's worse is the deflection of responsibility. I was told the salon doesn't stand behind the stylist, despite her working under your roof and your name. That's not just wrong--it's inhuman. I'm not just a client. I'm a fellow human being who trusted you. And I feel like I've been treated as disposable. I'm not trying to attack or shame anyone. That's not who I am. I have a big heart, and believe it or not--I would still forgive all of this if someone just stood up, showed empathy, and made it right. Please. Take responsibility. Show that this salon still values honesty, compassion, and professionalism. This situation is black and white. What happened was wrong. When we moved from NJ to Phoenix, I was terrified to get my hair cut and waited as long as possible. Now that I've gotten to know Makayla better, here's a secret. Her cuts grow out properly. When someone raves, this may be one aspect of their service but it takes awhile to validate it. I can walk in to have some dead ends trimmed, looking as fabulous as the last time she gave me a cut. had my extensions done by Makayla Bushong last week, but I wanted to wait a bit before posting because I've had ongoing issues in the past with extensions pulling on the sides of my head due to my very fine hair. I'm so glad I did -- for the first time in years, my extensions are still secure, comfortable, and not pulling at all! Makayla really listened to my concerns and took the time to come up with a solution that worked for my hair type. She sewed them in so flat and neatly against my scalp, and the difference is incredible. No slipping, no tension, just beautiful, natural-looking extensions. I was in Phoenix for a trip, Las Vegas local, and I called J Anthony Salon & Spa on a Thursday afternoon. I needed a color touch-up. The receptionist was able to get me in to see Jackie. I let her know that I had long hair and that the appointment would take awhile. My appointment was for 4:30. I ended up getting there early and Jackie took me at around 4:00 P.M. Jackie took a look at my hair and we had decided to go back to my natural color and do a more of a balayage - blonde color. The whole treatment took about 4 hours. Jackie is amazing!!! She is super friendly and great to talk to. She took my hair style to the next level. Jackie did a fantastic job with my hair!! I felt so happy afterwards! She is amazing! I was lucky enough to have Ivett do my hair today. I have been with her for years and I still feel lucky every time I'm in her chair. My hair is really thick and pretty long. Her patience and talent are beyond impressive. She takes the time needed to make sure every foil is perfectly placed, the bleach is evenly applied (no leopard spots or weird yellow to worry about here!) and when the perfect shade of blonde is accomplished and every color is blended perfectly (meaning my grey is now a memory) she really showed up and showed out with my cut. She is so calm and precise. Every piece perfectly cut, I absolutely love my hair. She has always done an amazing job and every time seems better than the time before. So embarrassing to show the before photo but LISA DID WONDERS FOR MY HAIR !! I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she didn't even hesitate ! I waited until she got back home from vacation to get my hair done by her because my boyfriend and all his friends go to her to get there long hair done too haha , and I'm telling you it was worth the wait. Lisa worked on my hair for 5 and a half hours and was so sweet and energetic the whole time. She showed me weak spots in my hair (before we got started with anything) that I didn't notice where even there !! And was reassuring me anytime I felt self conscious. I really like this salon. The staff is very friendly and professional. I moved to North Phoenix in December of last year and simply found them on the Internet and they are VERY close to my new home. I highly recommend this place. I see Anthony and he does a great job and I feel that my hair is in much better condition since he started doing it. He takes time w/foils and doesn't apply bleach to anything but the top part where growth has taken place. It makes a HUGE difference in the overall condition of my hair. JAnthony Salon & Spa recently moved from I-17 & 101 to Cave Creek & the 101 and have also changed their name. The salon used to be called Café Paris. My hair stylist is Lisa Telefeson. Lisa has been doing my hair for 13 plus years. The next after I have gotten anything done to my hair, I get nothing but compliments. My hair can be very difficult at times (most of the time) and Lisa is the only hair stylist that I have gone to that has been able to tame my out of control hair. The other services that are available at the salon are manicures, pedicures, massages and body wraps. They also have great hair care products that you can't find any where else, but at their salon.
