Came here for lunch on my birthday but was disappointed at the quality of the food. Overall, we thought that the food was too bland for our liking. Mac and cheese definitely needed more salt - it didn't really have a taste. Sandwiches could have used a *lot* more seasoning. The truffle fries weren't my favourite, but that's probably a personal preference. To top it off, we waited approx 40 mins before we were served our starters. Won't be coming back here!

    Christmas poutine!! So good!

Make sure you stop in here for the Christmas village event that is going on through December! This is one of my favourite shops in the distillery, lots of wonderful, reasonably priced gift ideas (from toiletries to many foodie items) and they also have a counter with takeout food and baked goods! This was the Christmas poutine with pulled turkey, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. It was delicious, although friend got the regular poutine and her fries were a little burnt... :(

So I was walking around distillery at the artisan tents, and I got really thirsty. Usually I just suck it up and wait for a bubble tea, but I figured since we're in the alcohol area, why not get some alcohol? My bf and I didn't know where the breweries or bars were so we popped into the nearest thing that was blasting ac. This was it. Decor was clean and very rural Etsy-esque. In not really into western alcohol so I got a "craft soda". I never knew such a thing existed but wow it was beautiful and made me appreciate the world. This soda was really refreshing and made me realize how fake and over the top mass produced juices were. This soda was created from fruit juices and water and one other ingredient, and it was clean, simple, and refreshing. I totally recommend this place if you're looking for a drink that isn't alcoholic. The pear and vanilla soda was best. I'm not really into pear or vanilla but this combo was superb. I could live here.

3 stars ... there are some good items to eat but just avoid the salads. In Distillery, I find it very hard to find good food that isn't overpriced or just good overall. It's easy to find desserts (Soma & Arvo) and amazing drinks (Arvo & Soma) but beyond the rare few, I'm at a loss. So when I first stepped into Wildly Delicious, I was skeptical. I still am but I did find their sandwiches far more better than the typical tourist trap dishes. This is a casual cafe that also doubles as a cute store that focuses on the Canadian culinary scene. You'll find funny things like mugs with #Sexy, or great Canadian products like Canadian Honey, BBQ sauces, teas, or kitchen items. I'm going to be honest, they make such a great visual of the space. It's vaulted big ceiling is shown wonderfully with lighting that takes you back in time. The shelves are just overfilled with great cute items that would tempt even the most timid of cooks and their Canadiana display with worthy of a shot. Just cause they managed to cram every sort of stereotype in there. The only thing missing would be a beaver holding a Tim Horten's cup... in a mountie hat. Service here is decent and casual. It's a fast casual spot where you go up to the cashier to order and then you choose a table with a sign to tell the runner where to deliver your food. The menu is easy ... sandwiches and salads mostly with some cheese or charcuterie platters. There's a number of options for drinks as well but I'm going to be honest, there is a phenomenal coffee and tea spot around the corner (Arvo). Head there instead. I blanked out on the names but you get the idea behind the dishes BBQ sauced up Fried chicken Sandwich - Had this twice now and I can safely say that this might be the best item to eat that isn't terribly expensive in distillery. It's crispy and how when served up. They used one of the BBQ sauces found on the shelf and it's quite flavourful. A bit of heat, a bit of sweetness, and a touch of smokiness. The bread is big and soft ... would loved it being toasted or something but considering all things, it's one of the better dishes to be had in distillery. 4/5 Gerrard Salad - Ok... this was not the best. Lacklustre. A large bowl of romaine lettuce showed up with sauce on top. I was wondering where all the supposed toppings were from and i had to find them at the bottom. The creamy yogurt based dressing was mostly bland... lacking any zing or zippiness that would make the salad taste anything. I was hoping for any spices... tumeric, cumin... anything. And ... I tasted water on romaine. Sure it had chickpeas but they tasted like... bland washed chickpeas. I'm not sure what happened but when you mention Little India in Toronto as your inspiration, I'm hoping for bold flavours. It's also super expensive... over $16. Pass this over. 2.5/5 If you're looking for food, there isn't a lot that is good and affordable in the distillery but in a pinch, the sandwich seems to be the better bet. Just don't get the salad... whatever you do, don't.

Definitely one of the more "cool" ambiance spots in the district. We were so hungry and we didn't want to go full meal and this place and decent reviews with a $$ logo which most places in the area had $$$. We were amused with all the decor in this place! It was more of a merchandising thing so whoever does your merchandising on the floor give them a raise!! Everywhere you looked it had some type of item you could buy to help you cook, or accessories your kitchen! The food was decent! Ordered the friend chicken burger with slaw and fries on the side. Expected the. Burger to come out crunchy but maybe it sat too long or something cause definitely wasn't what we really were expecting from photos that were posted from previous yelp users. The burger was good, flavor was on point just wish it wasn't as soggy as it was when we got it! ThAts only a portion of their menu, they serve tons of other stuff and it seems if you're into cheese, this is the go to spot!

    So many treats!

3.5 stars! My husband and I came here about 2 months ago during the Christmas Market. My first reaction was that it was such a cute place - small but there is a lot of fun stuff going on! One area is for ordering hot items like parmesan truffle fries $12 or assorted baked goods about $4 and up. I believe they also do charcuterie and cheese boards. Another area is for sampling dozens of different kinds of jams and spreads - the savoury and sweet ones that I tried were delicious! Throughout the store are stacks and shelves full of gourmet food items like different oils, seasonings, flavoured shortbread cookies and utensils. We ordered the parmesan truffle fries which were good but could have used a bit more truffle oil and parmesan sprinkled evenly throughout the decent sized portion. The bluberry and lemon scone also tasted as it sounds. To me, it was a good blend of sweetness and slight tartness but it wasn't amazing. All items in general are at a higher price point (items in bottles and the takeout food) but it seemed very fresh and really, it is all about quality for people who shop or buy food here. Staff were nice enough but it was really busy here of course on a Friday evening. Definitely recommend stopping by here if you are strolling around the Distillery District.

Among these three , I recommend the white truffle oil dipper , it costs 12.98 only , the flavor is so rich

A nice little shop for coffees and pastries. However, very disappointed with the portion size. I ordered a Buddha salad for lunch and got half a salad with romaine lettuce and a few veggies for 10.85. I understand rent prices but come on, I'll be starving in an hour.

Had the Paleo Bowl Yorkville, the taste is pretty good and the avocado sauce wonderful, but the portion size is not too great. I understand it is winter and vegetables are pretty expensive, but charing at 19$ it should definitely have leaves that fill more than half of the box and more than three cherry tomatoes.

Checked out The Distillery District on a trip to Toronto this weekend. We stopped in here for a snack before heading off on the road. I wasn't really that hungry but since the food looks so good, I decided to get the Moroccan lentil soup. I ordered the bowl size and it was fantastic and leftovers to spare. It came with three slices of bread. My companion ordered the butter chicken poutine which was fantastic. The fries were crispy and delightful and there were lots of cheese curds and chicken with an ample amount of sauce. One of the things that was cute was there were little birds. In the cafe hanging out, yet not bothersome. The cafe is also a store, with all sorts of fantastic food items such as dipping oils, cooking oils, jams, and jellies, mustards and all sorts of things; pretty much everything looked amazing. The prices were really fantastic as well. Many of the items sold in the store are actually made right on premises. Really a great setting and really kind stay. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back if we're in the area. I bought two cookies from the cookie jar, s'mores cookies and Christmas cookie, both were hard, not fresh and not that great. Skip the cookies!

He just angrily punched the prices into the register for the 2 already bagged and quickly shoved the receipt into the bag: it was really clear he wanted me out of the store because he treated the two women behind me entirely differently and had no intentions of bagging anything else for me - he completely ignored me once I paid for the 2 bags and after he told me to get away from his checkout so he can serve the other 2 women. Really shady experience and I don't feel safe going back there due the progressive aggression he showed towards me as well as the way he was angrily handling my items. I haven't been there in over 5 years; I should have kept it that way.

Right now this address hosts Good Cheese, which when it first opened felt like a gentrifying jab in the area (what, a wine snack bar in East Chinatown, what whitey madness is this?!), but never got around to trying it in that phase. During COVID they didn't just like many restaurants at the time pivoted to selling bottles, they revamped themselves to be more of a gourmet grocery, which is the iteration I am only familiar with. They still have some bar seating if you ever so inclined to have a glass and a bite. Though mainly you're probably here to admire the top-to-bottom shelf after shelf of gourmet goods from local and imported sources--jams by Kitten & the Bear; French chips in interesting flavours; chocolates; $10 and up canned sardines and other seafood, elevated stuff you won't find elsewhere to treat yourself or cook up a special meal. Wine and beer to take home--fridges stocked with a variety of Ontario craft brews not even the LCBO carries, such as Badlands and a couple Ottawa breweries (Tooth & Nail, Dominion City) I came across on an Ottawa trip.
