We heard about this restaurant from other people at our hotel. Restaurant is in a strip mall but when you take one step from the crib you are transported to a garden restaurant somewhere in a novel. Serve and atmosphere was incredible. I had the Ahi Tuna bowl, only suggestion I would give is to season the tuna. My friend had the chicken and she loved it. Let's not forget dessert. OMG it was fantastic. If I were to visit Tucson again I would definitely return to Wildflower. read more

First the not so great: The chef needs to improve hamburger making skills. The burger was sent back twice: once, for not omitting the cheese removal request, and the second time for it being not medium rare as ordered. The chicken potstickers are way too small for their price. Now the good: The pastas are good the strawberry salad was delicious. The manager did do right by us regarding the hamburger snafu and comped a pasta and the dessert so that was very very good service. read more

A group of friends joined me and my husband to celebrate a birthday. Wildflowers a wonderful restaurant to celebrate any special occasion. I've been a customer for many years more recently. I've been coming for Valentine's Day with my husband and mother-in-law for the last three years. Enjoy the special smaller plates they offer for the event. Wildflower has a bar in the front that's open to the dining room, and on occasion I've come with no reservations for dessert and coffee at the bar. Wildflower has a consistent team of excellent staff that are generally dressed very elegantly in provide excellent service . The highlight of wildflower besides their crisp dining room space, is their excellent food. My first occasions dining here were in meeting a friend for lunch. I have such a hard time trying to order because everything looks so appealing. On the menu is a selection of wines, beer, and mixed drinks. I usually order a craft cocktail to start my meal. Last night I ordered the watermelon smash and it was only OK. I've had so many great cocktails it won't stop me from ordering something else in the future. Our meals started with two appetizers of hummus and their crispy calamari. After the meal ended, and I was driving home I was thinking the calamari was the best I've ordered all year. At our meal the plating of the dishes seemed to hide the exceptional food( the dishes didn't photograph well this evening). I convinced the birthday girl to order the spinach pappardelle, which I've enjoyed for lunch and dinner many times. It's such a great dish filled with flavor, texture from the tender chicken, pine nuts and the cheese and the green spinach pasta is outstanding. I ordered the Mediterranean cauliflower. You can add chicken or salmon to the dish for additional protein. This dish has quinoa, grilled cauliflower, mushrooms, hints of fruit and puréed sweet potato; a nice dish of flavorful items( that didn't make for an attractive picture this night, but is a tasty dish). A highlight is to get dessert. my favorite dessert here is bars of sin, which is a hazelnut mousse on top of a chocolatey crispy base, cut into bars and covered in a thin crispy chocolate shell, served with vanilla ice cream and raspberries. My top dessert in all of Tucson; I never can finish the whole thing and take half home. If you do decide to order this, I recommend you get a cappuccino to drink with it, because they serve great coffee and it's just a lovely combination. This evening, my husband ordered the freshly prepared cinnamon donuts served with custard and fruit compote. Warm and not overly sweet, the custard is just a perfect pairing. The patio spaces got a permanent cover over it which protects customers from the weather. The seating is padded chairs and is elegant. Our first Valentine's Day meal there it was so romantic, the edges of the patio are filled with plants that provide privacy from the customers at the Casas Adobes shopping Plaza. The inside as men's and women's restrooms. The ladies restroom has two individual roomy stalls, and is always very clean and well maintained. Wildflower is a Fox concepts restaurant and offers a dining Rewards's program, they also have special events to look for with three course meals menus for Mother's Day , Valentines Day, and so on. Wildflower is a fun place to enjoy for a special meal. read more

We went for lunch and the Beet salad was very small, in the photo it's next to a small bread plate. My husband commented as they set it down that she wanted the meal size salad not a side salad. I understand shrink flation sizing but this is unacceptable for $14-15. There was about 3 tiny pieces of apple & 3-4 tiny chunks of beets. On a side note my husband's burger was very good. Love the Tucson location it's beautiful on the patio, but corporate needs to rethink the portion sizes... read more

Great food. Great service. Great ambience, especially on the patio. Braised short rib was the bomb.

Stopped by for some lunch and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely on the pricier side but the food was definitely worth it. I had the Caesar Salad and it was full of flavor. We sat outside as it was covered and they had misters so it was very enjoyable and felt like we were able to escape the heat. read more

Jesus is an INCREDIBLE server. We went to Wildflower with my one year old, which if you're a parent -- you know how stressful that can be. Jesus wasn't phased at all. He brought out rice for my son instantly so he had something to eat and keep him preoccupied. He always made sure all of us were food. We really really appreciated his hospitality. 12/10. That's how good his service is. As far as the food goes, incredible. The ingredients were great. The presentation was great. Everything was great. But what changed our lives was that chocolate dessert. I don't know what it was (I think it was seasonal for Valentine's Day), but that is hands-down, the greatest dessert we've ever had at any restaurant ever. So if you are going to wildflower soon, you need to get that if you can. Hope everyone has as great a time as we did next time you go! read more

What an amazing evening my wife and I had here. Everything from the drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts. Just incredible! But what sets this place apart was the service. Our server, Nathan, created an environment unlike anything we've experienced in dining. Couple that with attentive managers that connect to their patrons - just wow! The question isn't if we will be back, but WHEN will we be back! read more

Sat at the bar, ordered $25. entre, $21. gl of wine, entre, came out fast and was barely warm. Bartender busy cutting fruit for 15 minutes and talking to one couple. Never asked how food was. Impossible to get her attention. Beautiful restaurant but service was minimal for their prices. read more

Best restaurant in Oro Valley! We moved here 3 months ago and have already been back 3 times it is THAT good! Ample parking out in front and back of the restaurant. Beautiful outdoor patio with heaters when it's chillier. We have sat inside and outside and loved both. Our server was Nathan for 2 of the 3 times we have been there and he's spectacular- attentive, funny, knowledgeable about the menu, he's great! Highly recommend the *paper plane* cocktail (off menu item) but it is AMAZING- amaro, Aperol, bourbon, and lemon juice! My favorite dinner item to get is the **SHORT RIB RAVIOLI** - HIIIIIGLY recommend!! It's cheesy and creamy but not over the top heavy. Our other favorite menu item was the **BACON WRAPPED PORK TENDERLOIN** WOWWWW that sauce and the pork tenderloin was cooked PERFECTLY, would definitely get again!! Filet mignon was also great, has a nice char on the outside and served on a bed of mushrooms, onions, and potatoes. The smoky bacon just made this a delicious pair. Scallops were nice too- the salad dressing and scallops paired wonderfully together. Crispy calamari is a nice starter- not too bready and yummy greens on top! Lobster & artichoke salad was delicious, if you like seafood salads. :/Spinach pappardelle was probably my least favorite item we've gotten there, it had roasted chicken, melted tomato, pine nut, grana padano and to me tasted a little bland so I probably wouldn't get it again. Brussels sprouts are also a great option for starters- nice glaze and DELICIOUS!! But, everything else from service to food to cocktails to ambiance, 100/10! Will probably be back again next month :P read more

What a gem. I absolutely love the gorgeous blue/green color scheme, it had a feeling of real Southern charm. I actually felt a bit underdressed. There is outdoor seating, the spray mist helps you stay cooler. I'm not used to the extreme heat so we sat inside. Our waiter, Kahiko, was such a lovely, polite young man. Always came by to make sure everything was perfect for us. We started with some fresh bread. It was all about that amazing homemade olive oil dip with the seasonings. Gotta start with a couple of apps, a grilled artichoke and their must order of Yellowtail Crudo. OMG, we couldn't get enough of this dish. The soy and citrus juices had our tongues dancing. Here is what we ordered for our entrees: - Spinach Pappardelle with Chicken (the winning dish of the night) - Short Rib Ravioli (my son loved it) - Lemongrass Skewered Scallops (it was a tad too salty) This place is a must visit if you're in Tucson. read more

AMAZING! I had been to this restaurant once and been wanted to come back! I really loved their Sonoran restaurant week menu choices. Everything was perfect!!! First of all, I need to commend our server Dan. It was an extremely busy night and he was handling at least 6 tables. I saw him running around super busy but still attending every table with a smile. My boyfriend's soda was never empty! From the beginning to the end he provided top notch service! As for food, just wow. from the bread to entree to dessert, everything was excellent just how I remembered from the first time I went there! Their hummus is amazing! Their braised short ribs is to die for! Their dessert (bar of sin) is a perfection! Love love love this restaurant! The only negative is it could get a little loud. So if you don't like that, maybe it's better to sit outside. It's not to the point where you can't hear your party talking though. read more

Cute space and good food. The Ahi poke was delicious! The truffle fries were great, would have preferred a firmer fry, but that's just a personal preference. I really wanted to love Wildflower. I had a fun meal at the bar once so we tried it a few more times and each time had issues. This one in particular takes the cake. The menu is appealing, the space is charming, and I made a reservation a month in advance to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday -- a particularly important one, as it fell the day before her father's funeral. We were a party of six, and I had hoped for a thoughtful and smooth evening. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but. Despite planning ahead, we were crammed into an uncomfortably tight booth. Our waiter turned out to be the bartender -- a hard-working guy clearly stretched way too thin. He was trying to manage a full bar and our table on a busy Friday night, and it showed. He seemed completely overwhelmed, didn't connect with our table, and gave off nothing but stress. He disappeared for awkwardly long stretches, didn't engage with us at all, and we were left trying to flag down anyone just to ask for basic things -- like bread and drinks, which we had to request multiple times from whoever we could catch eyes with, since we clearly weren't on his radar. Even flagging someone down felt nearly impossible. Most of the staff seemed to be avoiding eye contact altogether. The restaurant was super duper loud -- not the kind of atmosphere where you can have a conversation, let alone celebrate a birthday. Our food took forever. We each had time for two drinks before our meals arrived- and we are not fast drinkers. The appetizers -- grilled artichoke, hummus, and potstickers -- were tasty but still took way too long to come out. When our entrées finally arrived, not all of them were hot, which made it clear the kitchen's timing was off. My chicken dish was completely inedible -- improperly cooked and had to be sent back. I was offered another glass of wine while I waited, which I wrongly assumed would be comped (it wasn't), and by the time my new plate arrived, the rest of the table had already finished their meals. My son's Mediterranean bowl, which we had requested dairy-free, was incorrectly prepared and had to be remade as well. It took nearly an hour for the corrected version to come, and when it did, it still wasn't right but we didn't have time to deal with fixing it. By the time my meal arrived -- nearly an hour later -- the rest of my family had long finished eating. The replacement meal was rushed and meh. Also the Brussels sprouts side were barely cooked and couldn't be eaten while squash was perfect in same dish? The fries were fries- top notch-- but that's about the only highlight. Pasta was good but my family was uncomfortable eating while not everyone was served so did not enjoy. Yes, they comped a few things. No, that didn't come close to making it right; we still paid over $300 for a dinner that was chaotic, mismanaged, and deeply frustrating. What should have been a 90-minute meal dragged on for more than three hours. The energy was off, the service was inconsistent, and the management decision to assign one bartender to a full table and the bar on a Friday night remains baffling. This wasn't just disappointing -- it was a bust. This place may have a solid menu, but it clearly can't handle a full house. It's unfortunate that what should've been a magical evening now feels like a story we're telling for all the wrong reasons. read more

Whose idea is it to drown a salad in dressing? I literally had to push my food to the side and put a piece of bread in the bowl to absorb all the excess liquid. The shrimp and avocado were on top so they were good but the black rice was swimming. Service was attentive. Sat in the covered outdoor patio. Very comfortable as the weather changes although leaking canvas overhead had some tables unavailable and watch your step for the big puddle in the middle. Inside is ridiculously loud. My friend had a sandwich. Looked like plain white bread. Seriously? I've been for dinner and better experience all around. read more

I was checking out Yelp and it asked if I wanted to leave a review for Wildflower and I could not believe I had not done this yet. Let's talk about ambience first, beautiful inside, blue velvet and white, so classic, there's a temperature controlled patio that has so much green, and then there's a sidewalk level patio. I love this place. Everyone here is at the top of the professional scale for a restaurant. The food is outstanding. I have had the calamari (comes with a delicious sauce), all of their pasta dishes (my favorite was the bolognese.) I'll focus on my favorite, the lemongrass skewered scallops - so good! It has this soy butter with it. It's delicious. The short rib, I can't not mention the short rib because that's my second favorite with its delicious potatoes. I can't imagine that anyone would ever have a bad time coming to Wildflower. read more

I'll start by saying that as a customer for over 10 years I still love the high quality of the food and the atmosphere . . what I don't like is the deteriorated quality of the servers and the managment who allow this deteriorated standard to take place . . I'm speaking of a server who wears a large (black) disgusting nose ring and serves my meal. . . is it visually disgusting ? yes!, but more so, it's extremely unhealthy!!! Medical information will confirm that the nose harbors a huge amount of bacteria and microbes including STAPH . . keeping it clean with this device is nearly an impossible task to say the least . . colds, sneezing , just generally blowing your nose is no easy task with one of those devices. I shared my disgust with a corporate manager who basically told me that if I choose to not visit there, then that will be my decision. . in other words . .tough! my response is that if I WERE to return, I would leave if I had another server who looked like they took a face plant in a fishing tackle box. . . for me? . .goodbye wildflower read more

Took the family out to an early dinner at Wildflower and we were not disappointed. It's located in the casas adobes shopping center and is adorned with all kinds of greenery and vines. It makes for a very inviting and comfortable entry. The dining room is beautifully appointed and I love the open kitchen, it really engages all of your senses We were seated in a booth and decided on the winter sangria, calamari and New England clam chowder for starters. The sangria was fantastic fruity and not too sweet. The calamari is fried in this crispy batter and serve with this beautiful green salad and dressing. I've not had that presentation before but it was absolutely delicious. The bread and oil were great accompaniments. For entrees I ordered the short rib ravioli, my mom had the lemongrass scallops, and my hubby ordered the braised short rib. Each dish in addition to being gorgeous completely melted in your mouth. The raviolis were tender and flavorful served with mushrooms and greens. The sauce and drizzle of demi glace really put it over the top. My husband RAVED at the short ribs, I managed to grab a bite and he did not exaggerate. The meat was silky and served with truffle potatoes. We all tasted each other's dishes and my Mom crowned herself winner with her scallop dish. It was accompanied by forbidden rice and green peas. The scallops were perfect seared and some of the sweetest I've tasted in Tucson! Absolutely scrumptious! The service was top tier, attentive but not overly so. We are definitely making this part of the monthly rotation! read more

We wanted to try a nicer restaurant for our anniversary. Our baby fell asleep right before we arrived and they were very accommodating to push our reservation back a few minutes and allow us to pick an area that would work with a sleeping baby. We sat on the outdoor patio and it was perfect! Once we got seated, it took a while for a server to come by though, even for water. Ordered a few cocktails that were very well made. We ordered the grilled artichokes and calamari. Artichokes were okay, calamari was delicious! Ordered the short rib and Mediterranean cauliflower for our entrees, both were good but not EXCEPTIONAL. Ahi tuna and charred avocado crudo is served with candied lemon jam, fresno chile, cider ponzu, pistachio, and crushed wasabi pea. This dish was good but appeared to be missing something. I'm not sure what exactly, but the flavors were nice--sweet and spicy. Butternut squash salad includes romaine lettuce, shaved Brussels sprouts, roasted beet, goat cheese, toasted mulberry, and lemon vinaigrette. This salad was amazing! I love the different textures and flavors of all the ingredients, and the overall sweetness of the salad was also refre Short rib ravioli includes truffle cream, Swiss chard, roasted mushroom, red chili flake, and breadcrumbs. Braised beef short rib includes fregola risotto, roasted mushroom, brussels sprout, and horseradish gremolata. This dish needed salt, but is good otherwise after I added some. Wood fired NY strip steak includes a side of charred broccolini, loaded smashed potato, and a red wine sauce. Great steak and potatoes. While the steak was not a perfect medium rare, it was tasty. Overall, this place is worthy of 4 stars and I will be coming back here! Service is excellent here. Our server was attentive and explained the background of Wildflower to us. We came here on my Mother's 80th birthday. This is the original Sam Fox restaurant, we've been coming here since it first opened. So we expected exceptional service and great food. We were not disappointed. The server was fantastic. Very engaging and knowledgeable about the entire menu including the wine options. I started with a glass of the Valrvan Pinot Noir, it was perfect. I had the large pour at $22. I rarely eat beef , but was hungry for a steak. The New York strip was the perfect choice. Cooked to order. Served with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Always enjoy Wildflower. Staff is always attentive and friendly. I went there w/ my daughter from Denver on 12/30/25....Jesus took care of us VERRRY well. What a nice guy. We had lobster artichoke salad, appetizer... calamari....and the fabulous cinnamon donuts for dessert. I would say it was chilly and asked them to turn up the temp. We had a fabulous dinner on a Tuesday which is half priced bottles of wine day. The price for a full bottle ended up being not much more than a glass or two of wine so we ended up ordering three bottles for the four of us. We ended up taking re-corked bottles home. Great deal. From the appetizers through the dessert everything was great. Our sever, Jesus, was incredible in guiding us through our choices and keeping us entertained with his lively spirit. I was vacillating between two dishes so he said he would surprise me with one. It was the braised short rib raviolis and it, along with calamari with arugula, was amazing. Great service all around.
