I have now dined here for both lunch and dinner, dinner being my favorite over lunch. ::DINNER REVIEW:: From the moment I walked down the decline pathway to the door, I knew my experience would be a superior one. A waitress went out of her way to open the door for me. Now, I'm not one of those snobby, pretentious diners who expects to be treated like royalty, but this was a great and fresh start to my evening at Wildflower. I sat at the bar and the bartender (Matthew?) was extremely knowledgeable about every corner of the menu. I started with the Strawberry Rhubarb Collins (I love rhubarb everything) which consisted of Skyy, rhubarb bitters, and fresh strawberries atop the mix. While on the weak side, it was quite tasty and I enjoyed its flavors. $8 is a bit steep but it was a Friday night..gotta start the weekend off right. ;) I promptly received bread and enjoyed the way the kitchen executed their recipe; it had a hardened crust but was exceedingly soft and fluffy (yet somewhat dense) inside. For my main course, I ordered the Spinach Pappardelle. At first, it kind of tasted a tad bland to me. But, call me crazy, but I found this to be one of those rare dishes that the more you consume of it, the more apparent, strong, and complex the flavors became. I definitely enjoyed this dish and it was perfectly portioned. It had the wide pappardelle noodles of course but they were green from the spinach addition. The noodles were slightly al dente, just like I prefer. There was extremely tender pounded chicken in this dish along with juicy, cooked tomatoes and a pine-nut bread crumb topping. It was all basking in a brothy yet buttery combo of a sauce. Now, I ordered the Lemon Creme Fraiche Pie for dessert..definitely not one to be missed if you like anything lemon. It has a blueberry compote and a flaky crust (circle shaped pie, cut in two). It was accompanied by a blueberry ginger sorbet and that was a great palette-cleanser to end the meal. FOOD: Right around 4 stars. SERVICE: 5 stars. ::LUNCH REVIEW:: I went a tad too far in depth with dinner, so I'll give the highlights of lunch: --Party of 8, they sat us in an awkward booth in the back of the restaurant. Even the servers had issues maneuvering around it. --I had the Ahi Tuna salad as my meal. Extremely small portion, I do not recommend getting this as your full meal. It was done very well and the tuna was great, but there were just three rather petite slices and a few pieces of edamame and avocado here and there. --Fish and Chips: YES. Get this if you are feeling sinful with your calories. --This is when we first had the lemon pie as mentioned above. Delicious! When all is said and done, I will be back here eventually. Not within my budget to dine here weekly, but you get what you pay for! read more

If you want to go to an upscale place in Tucson, this is the place. The restaurant invites brightness, from the white walls to the skylight in the middle of the room. Our waitress was impeccable - she knew her products and answered each one of my questions to my satisfaction, which is just what I expected from a place like this. Service was timely without being invasive. The food is seasonal, and focuses on what's fresh for that season. I had the halibut special, served on a bed of polenta with arugula salad. Don't miss the cinnamon donut for dessert. Yes, this will be my place of choice next time I'm in town. read more

Definitely a place you must try. I think its probly one of the best restaurant in tucson for sure. The first time I tried Wildflower i was a fan. I love the decor and ambiance of this place. Just really nice, simple and elegant. I ordered the calamari as usual. It was good, nothing different from the calamari you can get anywhere else. I also ordered the chicken and I must say it was like a really nice Thanksgiving dinner. And just like Thanksgiving dinner, leftovers tasted better the second day. The last visit, I had the short rib stew and lasagna. The short rib stew was like a chili which wasnt exactly what I had expected but I'm so glad I ordered it. Let me tell you why........ THEEEE BEST CORN BREAD EVER! Yes, better than yo momma's, jk. Im serious, better than the chicken and waffle spot that has won my heart for the past 5 years. I hate to admit it. And if I could just order like a dozen of these Wildflower will have my heart forever. I must say the lasagna was not impressive at all. Stouffers is probly better. Their dessert is phenomenal! I was so full but still managed to devour our chocoholic cake. read more

Great relaxing but slightly upscale atmosphere. But dressing up is not a requirement. food and menu is varied and has something for everyone. Nice shaded outdoor patio in late afternoon. read more

This restaurant is my favorite out of the four Fox Group restaurants I have tried in Tucson. Service was superb! Shout out to Nicole who made the evening very pleasant. The bread that was brought to the table was accompanied by a parmesan olive oil. It is always a nice touch when the bread is warm. I started off with the kale and brussels sprouts salad which was refreshing but it needed more dressing. For my main, I had the chicken with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were very rich and well seasoned. This is one of the only enjoyable restaurant experiences I have had in Tucson so far. read more

Great food and excellent service. Nice outdoor dining area and my little dog was welcome!

Finally made a stop in at Wildflower. The weather was lovely and we wanted to sit out on the patio, but COVID. They couldn't accommodate more on the patio at that time. So we sat in one of their very blue velvet curved booths. I must say, the place is fantastic looking. I felt like I was at an upscale 1960s garden party. Hard to explain and once again I fail for not taking pictures. The patio definitely felt garden party, but inside as well. I had a pasta dish, my husband a sandwich. The food was okay, nothing phenomenal. But the decor makes me want to go back. Silly, but true. So eventually, I will make my way back, and see if I feel differently about the food... read more

Delightful atmosphere, great service. I have many allergies, my list could frustrate any chef, but server and chef fully accommodated my requests and the meal was delicious. Will be back next time we're in town! read more

Simply wonderful every time we go. Great food. Great service. Highly recommend for any occasion (or just a random Thursday night when you don't feel like cooking) read more

4.5 Beautiful, spacious restaurant...excellent service. A bit noisy when all tables are full on the weekend. Can't resist the edamame dumplings.. (pan fried edamame dumplings enoki mushrooms, red chili broth). Tasty! Almost felt like a double order would've been fine...The guy ordered the farmer's market salad (Farm fresh vegetables, quinoa, goat cheese, marcona almonds, sherry vinaigrette).. He loved it. Delicious steelhead salmon* horseradish gratin, sherry glazed beets, arugula, for the entree. The guy had the fish of the evening...mahi...cannot remember how it was prepared. He said it was yum... We feel this is one of the best restaurants in Tucson. read more

Wildflower is one of the slightly more upscale places that I have been to in Tucson. I feel that it has a country club vibe (though I was brusquely reminded I have never been to a country club). Nevertheless, they have a cute little bar, indoor and outdoor seating, and comfy paisley green booths. The cocktail menu was fun, I should not have gotten the mint skinny. But what is a girl to do when she's planning to eat a lot since the menu looks delicious. The other drinks going by me looked tasty though. The bread was toasted (plus!), and served with two herbal butters (double plus!). The Grilled Whole Artichoke was yum. Getting my hands dirty is always a must in a complete meal. We then had the Butterleaf Salad which was good, but has already faded from my memory. The Spinach Pappardelle !!! Let me just say pappardelle, which I didn't even know how to pronounce last week, is my new favorite pasta. (fyi the pasta is made with spinach, there is no spinach in the dish) Happy Hour every day from 3-6 pm! Includes beer/wine/sangriawell drinks and food specials read more

Awesome food with great service. Eat outside. Lovely ambience and not nearly as noisy as inside.

How have I never reviewed Wildflower. This is my favorite place to grab lunch up north. The service is excellent, and so is the food. Lots of interesting and tasty options. Nice vibe. I think this was Sam Fox's first concept - great start! read more

I enjoyed the ambiance at Wildflower. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, dim candlelit lighting in the evening, and pleasant music playing making for a perfect date spot. My boyfriend and I were looking forward to having a drink after a long day, when I soon realized I had forgotten my ID at home. Willing to chance it, we ordered a couple drinks and the server did not card us. Score! A few minutes later he came back and asked for it, apologizing for not having asked before. "I don't have it", I quickly admitted. No wine for me. I'm not bitter about it as he was only doing his job, but would have preferred he done it from the get-go so that we wouldn't have gotten our hopes up. For the record, I'm 8.5 years past the legal drinking age. The server must have felt bad about the situation because he soon brought out a free plate of crisp calamari for us, claiming it had been made by mistake. We appreciated the gesture and devoured the calamari. It came with mizuna greens, yuzu emulsion, and toasted sesame seed, a refreshing take on a calamari app. For dinner I ordered the kale caesar, excited to try the classic salad with kale instead of traditional romaine. To my dismay, the salad came out with 1/4 kale and 3/4 lettuce. Why on earth would they label that a KALE salad!? I was pretty disappointed. My boyfriend had the short rib ravioli from the "fresh pasta" menu. His overall feeling of it was "meh". The portion was small and the pasta itself didn't taste very fresh. Maybe we would have enjoyed the food more paired with a glass of wine, but hey at least we saved a few dollars. read more

I pass by this restaurant everyday but had never considered stopping. After searching Yelp for a specific item at a different location Wildflower came up. Great reviews and pictures so decided to give it a try and so glad I did. Our server was Camryn he was super friendly and made sure we were happy the entire time we were there. We started with the mussels and must say one of the best I have ever had. They had chorizo and tomato and the broth was so good. I had the sweet corn agnolotti. OMG! To die for. My husband had the steak and it was better than most steakhouses. My son had the burger with fries. He said it was the best burger and fries he had had. Will be back soon. read more

I love Wildflower! You would never know this was a Fox Concept restaurant, which frankly I kind of love. The atmosphere is wonderful, we sat outside on the patio which felt cozy and secluded despite the fact that Wildflower is located on Oracle, a very busy, 6 lane boulevard in Tucson. I first tried them out during Arizona Restaurant week, which is held in September in case you were wondering. My husband I had the Duo of Bruschetta: asparagus & goat cheese, eggplant & pecorino to start. It was great, small portions but that's okay because when you're doing three courses you don't want to get too full too fast. I then had the Shrimp Tagliatelle, which was delicious and my husband had the Grilled Kobe Skirt Steak. Both were superb. For desert we had the Bars of Sin. If you love chocolate do not skimp on desert, the bars of sin were to die for. Always leave room for desert! read more

Cute little place in Tucson! We sat outside on the misted patio on a Sunday night and it was beautiful! I loved the parmesan and herb olive oil they served with the bread. It was to die for!! Unfortunately I didn't love the Scallops dish as much as everyone else did. My forbidden rice was suppeeerrr oily and this was with me asking for the soy butter on the side. My scallops looked black on the top and bottoms, and had a slight burn taste to them. I also tasted large chunks of salt. I think in theory the dish would have been amazing but maybe I caught the chef on an off night? Service was prompt and the ambiance was nice, perhaps I will try something different if I ever go again. read more

Gluten Free Review GF Dishes, GF Bread Spent an hour looking for a really good restaurant while in Tucson, there just wasn't that many options I was finding on YELP then my friend told me about Wildflower. I found it on yelp and called them instantly and checked for a table, they told me they were fully committed for the evening, I was like nooooooo. Then I checked on OpenTable and bam found a table and showed up within the hour and got right in, there was a short 10 minute wait as told by our hostess Selena Gomez, and at the bar we received a Moscow Mule and let me tell you so damn fresh and good and they use Gosling ginger beer which is the best one. The inside is pretty plain looking, but the open kitchen and bar, and a patio with patio heaters is a clean run environment and smooth looking place. For appetizers we got Grilled Artichoke and also a Cheese Plate, these two dishes were mouth orgasm's and I really could eat that artichoke every day. Then got a pitcher of Sangria which was very tasty and then our main dishes arrived, the lady got Paella which is so hard to find and very hard to make, she loved it and it was all the way gluten-free and was super flavorful. My dish was the short-rib that had a creamy sweet flavor to it and paired nicely with the mash. We were so full already but our main courses were out of this world, both were gluten-free as well as our apps, my rec is get the artichoke, and short rib with a moscow mule you will be so happy. Your welcome. read more

Great ambience-staff is very friendly and attentive! While the portions are on the small side, they are delicious!!

One of my favorite restaurants in Tucson! Pros: (1) Tuesday nights are wine nights--all bottles/glasses of wine are half off; (2) Excellent service. We had a very knowledgeable waiter with respect not only to the menu, but the concepts and histories behind all Fox Restaurants; (3) classy atmosphere but nevertheless relaxed and chic; (4) excellent food. The Spanish paella was tasty--the seafood was fresh (the waiter represented to us that seafoods are flown in), and the rice was juicy and flavorful. The chef's board had a good amount of variety. Cons: None read more

I visited with my 87 year old mom and 89 year old dad. We sat inside in a long booth. We were there at around 5:00 for an early dinner--maybe because it was early, we didn't find the music or noise to be a problem at all. The food was truly amazing. We started with the artichoke--the dip was the best thing ever. Although the whole thing was a bit messy, it was worth it. I had the pan fried chicken, my mom had a salad with shrimp and my dad had the fish and chips. We all practically licked our plates clean. The dessert menu came, and I opted out even though I am a known dessert lover--nothing sounded good. Foolish me, my mom ordered Bars of Sin. Once I saw them, I had to taste. Delicious. 100% perfection. So perfect 5 star review. If I had to offer one suggestion--rewrite the dessert menu. The offerings sounded off-putting or pedestrian when in fact they were pure heaven. read more

This place has excellent food and service so far everything I've tried here is five stars.

I have never had a bad meal here and the service is always great. Everything I've ever tried is really good - the grilled artichoke is a must try and you ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THE DOUGHNUT for dessert!!!! OMG it is the BEST doughnut I've ever had served with whipped cream and a dollop of strawberry (?) jam. One of the managers is named Dan and he is awesome! Our bartender was David and he was great - personable and made sure we never ran out of drinks. read more

My wife and I went to dinner here one night while we were in Tucson on vacation. I love scallops so I had to order the lemongrass skewered scallops. We would definitely go here again if we're even in Tucson. read more

Wildflower, was a restaurant that my family decided to take my mother-in-law to for her birthday. I will admit, it was a fantastic choice. Upon arriving at the restaurant we found ourselves walking through a beautiful covered patio. The patio was full of patrons and everyone appeared to be having a great time. When we entered, we were sat immediately. No surprise here, we did make a reservation due to the large party size. nonetheless, it was nice that they held up their end of the bargain. The interior of the restaurant is modern and beautiful and sets the mode for a great time. The only drawback is the fact that there is nothing to catch the sound. So this made the restaurant quite noisy. The food was phenomenal. There were more than 12 different dishes ordered so I can say that I got a feel for the whole menu. I will say, that we sat for over an hour waiting on our dishes. I know that we had a large party, but an hour is a very long wait. With that said, the manager and the waitress handled it with grace and ensured that we were taken care. To the point of comping one of the meals. If you are looking for a great celebration spot or a romantic date night, I assure you that Wildflower will take care of you. read more

A couple friends and I came in to celebrate our birthdays. We went in without much expectation, and all I can say is WOW. Our experience at Wildflower was one of the best dining experiences all of us had ever had. We started off with some appetizers- the black mussels, seasonal salad, and calamari. All of these had amazing flavor and texture, especially the black mussels. The broth was absolutely delicious to dip the grilled bread in! We also got some complimentary bread, which had a really good parmesan & oil to dip in. Our entrees were also fantastic, we got the pork chop, short rib ravioli, and the scallops. All of these were super delicious and well prepared/cooked- especially the pork chop. Our server, Sean, asked if we wanted more bread and surprisingly they even made some fresh for us! Sean also offered us EACH a complimentary dessert, which were all super good and had the perfect balance of sweet. At the end, he told us he had comped our appetizers as an apology for the wait of the entrees- something we totally didn't notice (but was incredibly nice of him)! Sean seriously really went above and beyond. He was super attentive and super kind and really made our experience. Highly recommend! read more

The ambiance of this place makes for a perfect date night. I love the strung lantern lighting on the patio, and we ended up sitting at a table that was set apart from the rest of the patio, which made it almost feel like we were at a private restaurant of our own (okay, that's a bit of a stretch...but you get my point). We started with a couple drinks (dirty martini-two thumbs up) and calamari. There was also bread brought to the table, which I almost turned down but who can resist herbed butter??! For dinner, I ordered the lemongrass skewered scallops, which were pretty delectable but what really stole the show for me in that dish was the "forbidden" black rice. My boyfriend enjoyed his lamb ravioli, and I mean, where else have you ever seen lamb ravioli on the menu? The food is good, the atmosphere is good, our server was exceptional but this place is a wee bit pricey for what you get...however! A great splurge for a special occasion or date night! read more

Four stars a little generous. Wildflower was extremely busy for a Friday at noon to 2 o'clock. I would definitely recommend reservations if you want to sit on the patio or have a shorter wait time. Although another customer said this wasn't a place for children our almost to-year-old did just fine even seated inside The food was good and the service was okay, wished they stopped by to check more frequently and to refill drinks. We started with the chef's board ($16). It had a nice variety but it definitely is not the best chefs board I have ever had. Toast was very burnt on one side which impacted the taste. My ahi salad ($16.50) was overdressed and the ahi had extreme variations in the quality. Some pieces were nice and bright pink and others were dark brown which made me concerned. My daughter really enjoyed her fish and fries chips ($17). Her food was hot and well seasoned. My granddaughter enjoyed having tastes from all of our plates. I guess there is a secret children's menu but it was not offered by the waiter and I did not know to ask. Not sure about another visit but it was nice to go somewhere new. Great decor inside. read more

I have been here several times and have a favorite meal. I went with a friend 2 weeks ago and was so dissappointed with my meal. I expect due to pandemic the portions could be smaller or the price increased but not both! Wildflower continues to provide delicious food in a comfortable atmosphere. I always bring guest from out of town to Wildflower, because I can always count on them to make delicious food and provide great service. There lamb dish was easily the best one in town. I hope it makes it back onto a future menu. The braised short rib stew is a little nontraditional, but absolutely exceptional. And don't get me started on their caramel pot de crème is delicious. Take a traditional pot de crème, and throw some dulce de leche ice cream on top of a chocolate brownie on the side. Go one step farther and grind up fresh coffee beans between the ice cream and brownie. It is exactly like excruciating bliss! I think that last word perfectly sums up Wildflower to me.
