Well well well, coming back from the last Ole Miss playoff game (Hotty Toddy), I somehow got lucky to be at the Terminal right beside Wildflower. I had ventured for a place to sit and do work in other terminals but nothing caught my eye. So I walked to my gate and lo and behold there it was. I wanted soup and they had a couple of choices, the sweet man let me taste them before I picked. When I finally got my meal and checked in, I saw the rating and whoa! It's rated high, an airport restaurant rated high? Unheard of! Service was stellar! These people really love their job! Claps loudly! There are a few tables and chairs to dine at. I sat by a groovy couple and talked about the OM loss. Fun to sit by strangers, turned friends, for a few minutes. Some people enter your life with purpose; a spark that changes your direction, a season that leaves you warmer than it found you, a lifetime that feels like home, or a brief encounter that still lingers long after they've gone. Such a yummy, healthy, and quick spot to grab lunch! It was nice to find a filling option that isn't just burgers and fries. I love how the salad comes with a generous amount of toppings and chicken with bread! Most places would only give a few small pieces of meat. The long lines at Wildflower in the Phoenix airport was a sign that they are a local favorite. I learned that Wildflower is an Arizona based trendy food and coffee cafe. I had just enough time between connections to grab a breakfast sandwich. The Ultimate Bacon sandwich has a lot going on. Pesto based, lots of cheese covered scrambled eggs, grilled tomato, arugula, and bacon, of course. The sandwich was huge. I loved it, but didn't finish it. The egg was really fresh. I couldn't believe this was airport food! Food came out fairly quickly, in 10 minutes or so. A clerk delivered the sandwich to me as I sat. There are several tables and a small bar to sit. Food was out quickly. Service is great! The people here are really nice. They have chargers for where you sit which is really convenient because half of the chargers in the terminals don't work lol. I was leaving the Phoenix Airport and was looking to take food on the plane. I found Wildflower off Terminal A gate A9. When I walked up to the counter everything looked so fresh. It wasn't fully packed but there was a sample of each item to show you what it looked like. I was having a hard time choosing between the BLT Plus and the spicy Cuban, so I asked for a recommendation from the person behind the counter. They suggested The BLT Plus, so that's what I went with. They also had a great selection of soups and I thought that would be very comforting, so I asked them for their suggestion on that as well and we decided to go with this spicy tortilla soup. I was able to wrap this together in a soup and sandwich combo for $14.50 which I thought was a great price, especially in the airport. After about an hour in flight I decided to bring out my dinner. I started with the soup as it was still slightly warm and as soon as I took off the lid I could smell the delicious spices. My first bite told me everything. This was delicious! It tasted fresh and had great chunks of corn and black beans. It was rich and had a great texture and a nice kiss of spice. As for the sandwich, it came with turkey, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado all on a soft baked fresh bread. This again was delicious. It had great flavor and was moist, and didn't taste like something you would get out of the airport. I was very impressed. Next time if I have time, I'm going to try to eat this at their station just so I can have the soup hot. But everything traveled really well. Sometimes in the airport you're limited on the types of food you can choose from. Most come with a fast food feel and sometimes you want a little bit more. Wildflower serves both the needs. Airport food doesn't have to be bad. And Wildflower delivers no matter their location, apparently including at Sky Harbor. I opted to order online and my food was ready only a few minutes later - even a couple minutes before the pickup time! I tried half of the almond tuna sandwich with a cup of the broccoli cheddar soup. Both were super tasty and I would order them again in a heartbeat! When ordering I was able to change the bread from the usual challah to their nine grain which I love. The broccoli cheddar soup was probably the best I've ever had. I've learned that Wildflower is the top tier of airport food. Wildflower is everything Panera wants to be. We stopped here for a quick bite before boarding a long flight to Philadelphia. Despite being located in the airport, I found their prices to be reasonable and their portions to be generous. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on brioche. It was delicious. My sister was pleased with her avocado toast and scone as well. I liked that they had a small seating area available to avoid having to eat at our gate. Pretty good cafe! The sandwiches come very hot and lots of healthier choices. I wish they had this at every airport. Blueberry sour cream muffin was delicious and not too sweet. Breakfast sandwich was hot and melted in your mouth. Brownie was very decadent and moist. Only downside is they don't have any choices for decaf, even though they have many choices of drinks. I was hesitant to grab lunch here before our flight on Thursday because I have had bad experiences in the past (at a different location). I was feeling risky and went ahead and ordered. My sister had a wildflower grinder. We were lucky to find a seat / table but it was dirty so we made the best of it. . The soup was delicioussssss. We tried the Wildflower Location at the airport in terminal 4. We got an oriental chicken salad and a spicy cuban sandwich. I was really surprised (in a good way) on how great the salad really was. It was filled with deluxe vegetables like rainbow carrots, shaved brussels sprouts, and rainbow chard. The chicken in it was also especially good. It was either poached or sous vide. The chicken was moist and flavorful. It would have been better if they cut up the chicken a little more but still it was good. I did think that the dressing had too much soy sauce and not enough peanut but it was ok. The roll they gave me was a bit dried out so I didn't eat it. My husband liked the spicy cuban sandwich too. The salads are premade so you get salads quickly. I thought we did wait a long time for the sandwich. Maybe 20 minutes. read more

This is my favorite airport stop in PHX so much so I will go out of my way to gate A9 to get the chopped salad. They've change the layout on the plate but it's still the same great taste year over year. The hogie bread tasted fresh baked and of course the sandwich was warmed nicely so everything was soft and melty. The service was quick for what you were getting, they even called my number brought my sandwich to my table.There was actually room to sit and enjoy the sandwich. They have the typical chips and drinks, but the nice additions are fresh baked goods and lattes. They even had a pumpkin spice latte in April, take that SBux. This is a very decent place to get a mid-transit meal. Also, the kids meals are real deals, with a good sized sandwich, packet of grapes, and small cookie for about $7.5. The food isn't cheap for us adults, but the portion size is very generous, and the food is fresh and full of veggies. read more

Ordered a breakfast egg white tomato feta sandwich which was pretty decent. I was able to share with my husband. Very light and yet filling-the egg whites were moderately seasoned with good amount of tomato. I got a hint of the feta and a good taste of basil as well. Coffee was good. Glad they were able to offer a variety of milk options like oat milk, cream and regular milk. I opted for the oat of course. Our last trip we also got a lunch sandwich but I don't remember what sandwich I got but I think it was good. I'll come back for convenience and service. read more
