I have used Wildflour several times in the past, which meant that when it was time to hire a caterer again, I didn't hesitate to give them my business. Boy was that a mistake! I am writing on a Tuesday, my event is this Saturday - and I received an email today informing me that they would NOT be able to do my event, because I hadn't confirmed 10 days prior to the event. Ironically, I was never informed that final numbers were required 10 days prior, nor did I receive a phone call. As a matter of fact, this morning I received and email saying if I submitted final numbers by noon (time stamp on the email was about 9:30 a.m.), we would good. However, at about 10:20 a.m. I received another email saying they couldn't do my event. As soon as I saw the email, I called and spoke with the person I believe to be the owner, he told me that he was sorry, that they had 9 parties scheduled for Saturday and since I hadn't confirmed 10 days out there was nothing he could do for me. Lots more was said, but suffice it to say, I told him that our relationship, which up until today has been fantastic, is over. I am tremendously disappointed in the level of service I received and the fact that my event was cancelled without even a phone call. What kind of business practice is that? I will never call them again, nor will I ever refer them to anyone. So, if you are having an event that you want to make sure goes off without a hitch, go somewhere else.
About an hour or so after my initial phone call, I got a call from the owner and he said he was working on my order and he would deliver it himself. I declined his offer and told him we were done. After all, I should have never received that email, the people in the office should have figured it out before I was contacted. Poor poor communication and even worse service. read more
