This is one of my favorite places to go eat breakfast. I have been here 3 times and I haven't been disappointed yet. Their food is good, pastries delicious, & customer service fantastic! They are always extremely busy, but they seem to have everything under control. read more

Great services and delicious food. I will definitely go back to enjoy a yummy breakfast/brunch.

Overall a very pleasant experience. From the food, to the drinks, to the service it was all amazing! I definitely recommend their hot teas. They use a brand called Numi and it makes a really good cup of tea. But what sets apart their service of the tea is they brought a little pitcher of cream with our tea. We didn't even ask it's just something they do and I know it sounds trivial but it mattered. read more

Took mom to lunch today, it was busy as usual. The food is always amazing do yourself a favor and try the quiche! Juice was warm and full of seeds, wished for ice and a screen, but they where very busy. Got some bread to go Sourdough and cake. We come often. read more

First off, the staff is great. Very friendly and attentive. The food was decent and the portions are large as well. They have a decent menu and the raspberry jam on the tables is delish. The only negatives I had were that when I ordered a piece of pie, they served it straight from the refrigerated case. It really would have been much better had they taken the time to heat it up. Secondly the house coffee wasn't the greatest. I had the Americano the first day I was there and it was ok, but just had the regular coffee when I was there the next. I wasn't a fan. That said, it's a great place and I always like to support local businesses so I definitely recommend it. read more

the device is exceptional. i absolutely love there pancakes! a clean and professional atmosphere!

This was very overpriced for the experience. I hate to leave a bad review, but we felt like we got rushed thru our meal. "You don't want coffee do you?." Was the food good? The hazelnut current bread was wonderful, but $18.00 for a meat omelet that wasnt anything special, plus a splitting fee when we didn't ask them to do this was unnecessary. read more

We just had breakfast there this morning, and I must say the food was excellent! I've been to my fair share of breakfast places and this comes close to being the best. The service was excellent too! We will definately returning again. read more

Best breakfast in the Southend. I had the Eggs Benedict, and it was the best I've ever had. The bread is outstanding. The Quiche looked great. We used to go to Huckleberry Square in Burien, but no more. We have found our breakfast place. read more

I nicknamed this place "the best breakfast ever". The food is delicious and the bread is straight from their bakery (but beware, the bread is so fresh and lacks preservatives that it goes bad within a few short days). I usually order the pancakes with fruit toppings and coax someone else to order the traditional egg and potato breakfast so we can split. The food is delicious and they make the small touches like powdering sugar and cinnamon over the pancakes which takes them over the top in deliciousness. read more

THIRD TIME'S A CHARM.....I WON'T GO BACK. I love eggs benedict. A good friend took me to Wild Wheat one weekday morning and I had the best eggs benedict experience of my life! The second time I went I took my daughter in law...I had eggs benedict again and it was cold and the egg white was runny...ick. The place was busy and the servers rarely check back with you once they've delivered your food. The third time I went I took my husband. I ordered eggs benedict once again and asked for additional hollandaise. The hollandaise was room temperature and it spooned out of the cup like mayonnaise...yuck. My husband had French toast and a side of ham. His French toast was so cool the butter didn't melt/his ham was forgotten. I finally tripped (not really) our server for the ham and she gently tossed the forgotten meat, now cold, on our table. read more

This place was delicious! I'm in Seattle for business and wanted to try all new places, this breakfast was by far the best I've had since I've been here. I ordered the eggs and potatoes, pancakes and bacon. The only negative was you have to order everything separately and was charged $1.50 for a small side of syrup. The place is in very good condition while located in a small old town. The waitress was very nice and kept my drink full most the time. The bakery was assorted with plenty of fresh pastries and breads. Next time in Seattle I would definitely try this place again. read more

2 stars only because the food was decent. However the service was terrible, my mom asked for sugar from 4 separate people and never got it from the servers. My finance ordered a mocha and they didn't bring it until the check came and it was cold by then! The busboy was probably the most helpful person there, he ended up bringing him coffee because he didn't know how to make the mocha but was still trying to help out. They didnt seem to care about forgetting the mocha or the fact it was cold, but don't worry they still charged us for it. Definitely don't recommend coming here read more

Before COVID we would come here many times a year for breakfast. The food was delicious and the desserts even more so. Today, I brought a friend for lunch for her birthday. It was a terrible embarrassing experience. There were 2 and possibly 3 servers for several full tables. We did get our water, but it took a while for the server to come and take our order. Both our sets of utensils were thrown down on one side of the table near my guest. The server went to other tables to take their orders even though those people came in long after us. Their food arrived long before ours as well. When I tried to get our server's attention a couple of times, he looked at me and then literally walked right by me, went to the cash register and spent, and I counted, 10 minutes ringing up, the other servers' tickets. We finished our meal, which was delicious, I must say, and we decided we wanted coffee and dessert hoping to end on a high note since the desserts have always been delicious. I kept glancing in our servers' direction and he kept ignoring me. Finally I had to ask the other server (who was moving around at a snail's pace in spite of the fairly crowded dining room) to get our waiter so we could order coffee and dessert. We finally got our coffee and the piece of marionberry pie which was completely inedible. I have had their marionberry pie before and it is usually perfect. This piece was tiny and it tasted stale and, instead of having berries and a nice thick shiny sauce that runs just a little, the filling was about the texture of a chewy brownie. It was very dry and unshiny and seemed like mostly hardened corn starch- I could not distinguis a single berry. It was very dull and dry. After trying to get the server's attention, I finally had to go up to the cash register to tell our server it was inedible. He asked if I wanted another piece and when I looked in the showcase, the other pieces looked exactly the same. It seemed like they might have been left over from Saturday or Friday. I asked him to bring us the check and take the pie off the bill. He did do that and it was only until he brought us the check that he asked if we wanted another cup of coffee. All this while the half-empty plates of the people who had come in after us and got their food before us, became covered in flies. None of the tables were bused. I told him no. I have never before had a bad experience here and I understand that it has been difficult to get decent help in many places since COVID and reopening, but I think some serious management intervention is needed to teach the existing staff about customer service and how to treat people in a restaurant. I will perhaps give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again. I always give restaurants I like a second chance, but after reading some of the other reviews below, I see that my experience was not unique today. If businesses want to re-gain their clientele from pre-covid, they must provide the same level of service and quality of food. read more

Great restaurant in normal times. Placed an order online today via Yelp/Grubhub, only to receive a garbled phone message immediately afterwards saying my order was cancelled and a refund will be issued. Look, if you're not taking online orders via Yelp, shut it down and stop wasting my time. Tried the website, apparently they are only taking pizza orders? I don't know, their website is a mess. Good luck. read more

This place offered great service and the salmon and crab omelettes were fantastic! I love this restaurant every time I go there.

Absolutely amazing! I had the Eggs Benedict but I made substitutions: Egg Benedict/no bread/over home fries/add sautéed spinach. SOOOO good. Poached eggs were perfectly cooked and hollandaise had a great hint of lemon flavor and creamy texture. Even the home fries were perfectly cooked, soft with crispy edges. Mmmmmm read more

We called the Wild Wheat Bakery for our holiday baskets. We put together baskets with oil, vinegar, and dipping spices for bread. We ordered 80 Ciabatta Loaves from them and they did an amazing job! They had everything ready and packaged when I got there, helped me load the car, and event texted me pictures before I picked them up so I could design the baskets! Besides the stellar service, the bread was FANTASTIC! We will definitely be using them again for our gifting and sweet treat needs! read more

The food is tasty but our service was absolutely terrible which ruined the experience. We went for breakfast on a Friday morning. It took over 20 minutes to get our food and when it came, my order was wrong and my mother only got part of her order. When asked about the mix up our server apologized but didn't offer to correct the mistake. We asked repeatedly about the missing side of bacon and finally got it about 45 minutes after ordering it. Overall a disappointing experience. We won't be back. read more

I would have given it a 5-star however, there was a guy who took my plate from me as I was still EATING OFF OF IT. My server was awesome, I believe he was just bussing tables. Anyways, being a former server that was very rude and awkward. Next time don't grab my plate as I am clearly still eating off if it. Before I could even open my mouth to say something he had his back turned with my Portobello Mushroom Omelet. My eyes were literally in my plate lol I was literally chewing! read more

I've dined here a few times since they opened. Food is normally pretty good but this past Saturday was a totally different (not in a good way) experience. We came for breakfast. The place was busy but not filled to capacity. My toast was cold, my chai tea latte came very delayed and was barely warm. Our server was non-existent after we ordered and we had to ask two different people to refill our water. Yuck. And the acoustics in the place or horrible! There were only three of us at our table and we could barely hear ourselves speak. SO LOUD IN THERE! Won't be returning. read more

The best omelette and Stollen French toast I had in a long time. Excellent place to eat for a bunch / breakfast. Great service.

This place had good food, the eggs Florentine we're delish. Made two substitutions for the eggs and bread type and the waitress didn't bat an eye. Hearty portion of eggs and potatoes. Tasty and would probably come again if we're in the area! read more

First of all let me start off by saying that the food is excellent. However, on several occasions when we've tried to order for take out, they put us on hold for like 10-15 minutes if not more and then forget us on the phone. Then you hang up and try to call back and all you get is the busy signal. How frustrating is that? This has happened about 4-5 times now... come on, you guys!!! The rating is solely on the phone service and nothing else. read more

This was a very cute bakery and cafe! Coffees are amazing and the food is unique. I ordered half soup half sandwich, which was light, healthy and moderately priced. Some of their sandwiches have a Russian dressing or cranberry aioli and definitely worth a shot! We also got a creme brûlée for dessert and that was delicious read more

Perhaps if I was dining at a fine restaurant overlooking the Puget Sound, would I be willing to pay $18 for a "meat" omelette.

Definitely a learning moment for your staff. Pay attention and follow up. One to go order was ready within 20 mins and staff stated the the other order would be out soon. Then another member of staff stated they would check on the order. 10 minutes later we go in inquire and were told the order was lost. At the 45 minute mark I go in and check on the order and it was sitting in the window. If someone is waiting an exorbitant amount of time then you should probably rush the order and follow up. Do better. Thanks. read more

Well this was an experience!! And not of the good kind. We have eaten here a few times and always want to come back and give it another try. This was the last time! Came in mid day on Monday and they had been busy because of the holiday. Our service was terrible and our food was poorly executed. Over medium eggs were over done with that crusty brown junk on one side (the side down on the plate of course) so I asked to have them re made and they came back worse! My husband ordered pancakes and they ran out of syrup but brought them anyway. The waitress/manager told him that she brought him some fruit and honey and basically said "here we don't have any more syrup but you can eat these anyway because I brought you these other toppings"....on yes and she offered to give him a discounted price for his dry syrup free pancakes!! If you run out of the appropriate topping for a particular meal, isn't it customary to tell your customer and give them the opportunity to change their order?? The worst part of this story is that while we were waiting for our table I purchased a pathetically small box of pastries ($28.00) to take to some friends for later that day. The items I bought turned out to be the most awfully dry and hard baked goods I have ever tried to eat. The scones were burned and hard as a rock...literally you couldn't bite them.....a brownie which was also rock hard and sad...inedible....four little bitesize cookies which were also burned on the bottom and a danish which I had to make a little glaze for so we could eat it. In this day and age I can not imagine how a business can stay afloat serving food like this for these prices. My company is 26 years old and would never have survived with this kind of service. The biggest reason I decided to post this review is that when I called the next day to speak to someone (the owner wasn't in) I was put on the phone with the manager. Low and behold it was the same woman who was our waitress the day before! That service and whole mess was brought to us by.....The Manager! Wow! So I began to tell her of our horrible experience before she told me it was her who had helped us and halfway through my relaying what had happened she cut me off. She began to loudly announce to me that "you can not complain about the pancakes because I didn't charge you for them!!" I stopped and said what? And she repeated it....over and over again! She seriously was talking so fast and loudly that I finally hung up the phone. All she heard was me complaining....she never heard what was done wrong to me as a customer, not to mention that box of crap that I paid 28 bucks for and threw in the garbage. We will never go back and will warn folks about the food, service and attitude of this establishment!! read more

We tried this place this morning. It was pretty good. We were seated quickly and they took our orders. My Husband ordered the crab and asparagus omelet and I ordered the portabella mushroom, with red onion, and white cheddar cheese omelet. When the food came it looked good. My husbands was good and mine seemed so so. When I really looked closer I found that while I had ordered a portabella omelet I had gotten their standard 3 egg omelet. It was canned mushrooms, white onions, and cheater cheese. I brought it to the attention of the staff, they offered to make another one but I was partway through it. The waitress double checked the order and said yes she did do the other omelet. What was the disappointment was that I had to ask them to take the more expensive omelet off our check, and they did so easily. While it was tasty it was a bit expensive over all. read more

Wild Wheat was an injustice to the food industry, they treated my family very rudely and made us wait for over thirty minutes while letting other families go in front of us. To be frank it was borderline discrimination and as we left I noticed something: they continued to serve white folks ahead of all other minorities. The food was sub par, and the waiter had to be switched because the first was very rude and lied to us about reservations. I had the pancakes and was quite disappointed, Ihop would've been a better choice for a Sunday Morning Breakfast. I don't think I will ever return here and would recommend the same to those looking for a good breakfast. read more

We went in on 3-8-14 very lousy service, food was over priced, very blah. The waitress was more worried about her soicalizeing then customers. I really don't see how anyone gave this place high ranks. We will never return to this place. The TV commercial lies. I don't see this place staying in business long. Good luck they need it. Walked in early and ambiance is busy and casual! We got some vanilla lattes that was really good! Had some fruit flies in my water she replaced it with fresh water. So that was fine, the dishes are a little pricey. I had the Eggs Florentine pretty good, hollandaise sauce on point nice and creamy with the right amount of lemon. I could have done without the prosciutto, but that's just a personal preference. So all in all good experience. read more

I have lived in the Kent area for over 30 years and driven by Wild Wheat hundreds of times and wondered how the food was. Well on Saturday my wife and I were walking downtown and decided to stop in for lunch. What a wonderful find!!! We were pleasantly greeted by the hostess (quite possibly the owner) and immediately seated. We ordered onion rings and coffee for starters. Both were outstanding. The onion rings came with both a light soy sauce and fresh taziki. Yum! A basket of assorted fresh baked breads and rolls was brought out and all were fantastic! My wife had the grilled chicken salad and I had the corned beef Reuben. Both were amazing. Service was awesome and the coffee superb! We will be back!!! read more
