We visited Maggie on Meeker Breakfast today around 11:00 a.m., and despite how packed the restaurant was, our experience was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. It's clear why this place is so popular. The atmosphere was welcoming, the restaurant was very clean, and everything ran smoothly even during a busy rush. This is a family-owned restaurant, and our server/owner, Raman Aurora, truly made the experience special her mom also checked on us. She was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive, especially considering how busy the place was. She checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed and never made us feel rushed or forgotten. The level of hospitality was exceptional. We ordered the salmon omelette with house potatoes, along with pancakes from the kids' menu. The food arrived hot and fresh, and the portion sizes were huge, especially the salmon omelette. The amount of salmon in the omelette was very generous and impressive for such a reasonable price. You can tell they don't cut corners with quality or quantity. The house potatoes were perfectly cooked, and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. One highlight was the homemade hot salsa, which was absolutely amazing fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat. It paired perfectly with the omelette and really elevated the meal. They were also incredibly accommodating, especially since I had our 2 1/2-year-old nephew with me. They kindly gave us the seating I requested, which made our visit much more comfortable. They also gave him some goodies. The menu is excellent, with great variety, and the salmon omelette was highly recommended now I know why. Even though the restaurant was full and they were likely short-staffed, the service was efficient, organized, and friendly throughout our visit. It's rare to find a place that delivers great food, generous portions, fair prices, and outstanding service all at once. We were extremely impressed and will absolutely be back. We were looking for a good breakfast spot and this had good reviews for our area. We decided to stop here and we got greeted by a very nice lady that sat us she was so nice and I was like well she deserves a great tip! But then we got another waitress she wasn't very nice it was our first time here and I asked her questions and she responded in a bad way like is she was doing us a favor. The food was good mom loved the waffle and her biscuits, my baby enjoyed the face that on her pancake super cute. My country steak was okay not the best. It was pretty pricy $70 something and when it was time to pay it was kinda awkward cause she was just waiting for the tip. Anyways we wont be back. read more

We have been here a few times already, so I'd like to say I can speak with experience. When I first visited this location, it was a bit frustrating to find parking because it is in downtown Kent. When I entered, I felt a bit underwhelmed because the restaurant was clearly outdated and didn't outwardly look inviting. However, that soon quickly changed. We've always been prompted greeted by friendly servers and seated pretty much right away. The menu is classic and traditional but consistent and delicious. The restaurant is a rather large hall-style place that goes deep into the building, So it's great for seating, small parties as well as groups. But one of my favorite reasons for coming here is the acceptance. Both of my kids are autistic - and one is nonverbal. Going out gives me anxiety because I feel I have to explain them to other people sometimes. I've had servers at other restaurants look at me expectantly if one of my kids doesn't respond, or think they're weird or just rude. Not to mention the judgy stares if one of my kids flaps their arms in happiness. And I can tell you that every single time, I don't have to worry here. No one asks questions, no one expects anything. We're always greeted by friendly smiles, and if an invitation is extended by a server and they don't receive a response, it's no big deal! I have shared with a couple of servers about us and have even had a couple of them share relatable experiences back from their own lives. And yes, while the restaurant is still outdated, in a sense, it removes any pressure from me because there's nothing expensive that could potentially be damaged. Found this on google having good ratings. Conveniently located on Meeker Street. Came in right after it opened at 7. Not crowded and plenty of tables. Server was very friendly and checked on you enough to not feel like you're being bothered. Started off with a hot chocolate and a as served with a pleasantly sized artistic cup. Taste was very good and not too sweet like you get with some places. Ordered the homemade corned beef hash as it was recommended as one of the popular choices there. Portion size was very generous, but the cuts of corned beef were a little too fatty for me. The potatoes were not as cooked through as I'd like them, but they were still good. Needed a bit of pepper with it. The kicker was their homemade salsa. Slightly spicier than Cholua, but it had a great taste and hit the right spice without reaching for water. Highly recommend the homemade salsa! Overall, this was a very pleasant place to have breakfast and relax. Was not too loud and they had weekend specials too (pictured 11Oct). It's pretty much old time diner food. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it can be amazing, this was just so so. Not sure how long the restaurant has been there, I'm guessing for awhile. Some of the folks eating obviously come often since the servers seem to know them and one older gentleman had no problem getting up and getting his own coffee and napkins. It was pretty busy around 10:30 on a Tuesday morning and did feel badly for the server. Apparently the boss let the 2nd server go home early resulting in a slow down in service, not her fault that's for sure. I had what they called a Maggie scramble. Had potatoes, some veggies, eggs and ham scrambled together and topped with cheese. It was a huge portion, enough for more than one and I brought a lot of it home. The problem was the cheese was in just one place and without that topping there wasn't much taste. My husband got a four egg omelette filled with sausage which is said was ok, needed some cheese on top and not just inside. It came with a huge side of hash browns and toast. My husband and I have ate here several times. Usually a hit or miss. This morning, my husband and I ate there and he never got his toast when food was brought to us (server claimed she was waiting on toast). Ten minutes later, still no toast. We told another server and she told the cooks to make some toast. By the time we were finished, still no toast. Funny/not so funny thing, I watched someone else be served their breakfast along with the toast they ordered! We went to pay for food and told original server what happened. So, she said she could take off the drinks and give us a free cookie or take off his breakfast. "It will save you $10. Breakfast taken off and we saved about $19. The server was friendly and attentive, taking my order shortly after I settled in. Then came the significant wait: nearly thirty minutes for my food. When my crab and mushroom omelette finally arrived, it was hot, but it wasn't memorable in the way I'd hoped. In fact, it's only truly memorable for how remarkably bland it was. This review is solely based on my pick up order and quite frankly I am disappointed with my meal as we were craving some breakfast food. I got there as they were packing my order, great friendly staff and was quickly in and out. I don't live that far from the restaurant roughly ~5-10 mins so food should still be fresh and hot We were missing bacon and sausages with our order which was quickly refunded, either than the food were cold... like they made it and it's been sitting on the counter for an hour or so - only the pancakes were luke warm, and let me tell you they were packing our order when I arrived so I'm not sure what happened here. We went, it's very close to where we live. The wait time for our food was too long. Excruciatingly long. If we hadn't been starving, me personally would have left. Went to Maggie's on meeker for lunch. We came in and signed our name and how many were in our party. After about 10 minutes we were seated. I had Maggie's mess. It came with hashbrowns topped with gravy and an orange slice. I requested for Tabasco and Tapatio and they brought all of them and more. The hashbrowns were crisp and the gravy softened them just a bit. I did like the orange slice at the end as "dessert" to cleanse the pallet. Then we ended up at Pied Piper and found out you can order breakfast at Maggie's and eat it at the dive bar! Will definitely be back to try that! read more

The prices are so much higher and portions so much smaller, I miss Michelle who I referred to as ambassador because of her rapport with the guests and her love of the place as well as her job. This is my first time back to Maggie's since new ownership. I couldn't be more disappointed. Possibly the worst biscuits and gravy I've ever had. It was obvious that little pieces of sausage were thrown in with white gravy and not cooked with it, most were cold in the middle like still refrigerated. Good solid diner food! We visited on a Sunday after 11 and the place was poppin. It was about a 10-15 minute wait. During that time I learned that you could order food at Maggie's, and eat at the bar next door and Maggie's staff would deliver it hot off the grill (on a plate that they carry out the front door and into the bar). Fascinating!! Hubs ordered his standard chicken fried steak. It was good and filling... It didn't stand out at all to him, but good diner fare. I ordered a one egg and sausage breakfast with French toast (I forget the name). It was as expected, standard stuff. I did notice that there were quite a lot of regulars that knew the staff's names. They had a good variety on the menu for breakfast. Service: atrocious. I was seated promptly and the server asked for my order quickly. My food came out in good time, then crickets. I never saw the server again, she never came back. No refresher on my coffee, no water offered, no check given. I finally went to the cash register then proceeded to wait there almost 10 minutes with the server literally passing me a few times who never said a word or anything. I finally told one of the food preppers/cook that I'm just going to leave cash and told him my order, then left. I didn't want to discount the cooks so I still left a tip but the service here needs some much needed improvement. FYI I came between 11:30-12:00pm, the place was mostly empty when I arrived and when I left it was starting to get busy.
