So disappointing. I ordered the brisket on a Saturday night, and it was clearly dumped out of someone else's takeout box from the night before. The brisket was barely room temperature and had dried edges; the baked potato was so cold I handed it to the waitress in its tinfoil jacket barehanded; and the "cowboy beans" were pintos dumped straight from the can, slimy canning juice and all, and pantry shelf temperature as well. My husband ordered the ribeye, and left more than half of it on the plate in gross blobs of fat and gristle. When the waitress asked how everything was, I merely said, "I guess it's okay," and she didn't even pause or follow through. It must be embarrassing to serve there. This place was a wonderful homey restaurant for lunch and dinner. The staff, owner and kitchen chefs were friendly and on pointe. Our table help Bryan, was the best and very attentive to a family of 8. We ordered multiple entrees and appetizers and shared them all. So good we ate here two days in a row. Everything we had was excellent,minus the boring mixed vegetables. Steaks, ribs, chicken wings, county fried steak were all flavorful and delicious. Brisket portion was small and a bit dry. I can only comment on the Iron Horse Saloon. The Fish and Chips are the best ever. I have been across the country eating in five star restaurants and dive bars. The Mahi Mahi was awesome, not greasy and a very light batter! The side of Coleslaw was topped with a ginger dressing that was to die for. Fresh, everything was made fresh. Most unique hotel ever. The room are named for the theme, and very wild west. It is like being in a time machine, visiting an old western town. You may see a real coeboy walking arround. The rooma are clean and very well decorated for theit theme. The staff are fantasticly friendly and incredibly helpful. Camille the manager, bartender, head chef, even called friends for answers to our questions. The breakfast is in the restaurant and you order off the full menu then just say I am staying at the Drovers Inn (just a few feet away) and your breakfast is free. And it is great food. They only have 5 rooms so within a few minutes you are a member of the family headed up by John who will introduce you to the rest of his WWJ family. This place is just cool, I don't blame my waitress for bad service. I just think the place is so big it's confusing & it took us 5 minutes to figure out it's seat yourself.... I think. We got there when it was slow & it picked up while there. You could see confusion on everyone's face too. Anyway the cool part if this place is the atmosphere, very casual & it's like like a little western looking town where you can sit in or outside (reminds me of Rawhide). There is little shops that are just props but look way cool. Now the food, my wife had a burger and that was just awesome. You could tell they made the patty by hand & it tasted delicious. Food was excellent! At first we had read the reviews. But they didn't seem to match up to the awesome service that Kimberly has given us! This is the perfect place for our Father's Day dinner. We loved this place. Looking for a unique true western experience. I highly recommend this place. Just about an 1hr car ride from the Grand Canyon or close to the Grand Railway Station this modest western themed inn is located in historic Route 66 town of Williams, Az. We stayed in the China Camp room. Loved it. Comfy real brass beds, vintage Chinese inspired touches, brick walls. It's almost sound proof. Each room has it's own theme. You can here the train go by in the early mornings. This place was built out of recycled bits and parts of the past. Unique, rustic yet has the amenities you'd need. Not a 5 star but if you want to experience something a little different this it. Staff was nice and the restaurant was tasty. Worth the $$. The only reason I didn't give it a 5star is because there were little things such as some light bulbs were missing, no bathroom lock. If you want brand spankin new this is not the place but don't let that stop you. read more

We were told this was a great place to eat. Our service was very slow, I even watched one couple get up and leave after sitting for a while and no one attending to them. When we finally got waited on they got our drink order wrong. the food was mediocre. Our waitress was very nice but not on top of it. We ate down the street at the Pizza place and Cruisers the next day and had much better meals and service. Also the music was to loud for conversation and not even that good. The two star are entirely for the staff they were incredibly sweet and warm unlike the food they served. I had the beef brisket and it was cold and tasteless. The mashed potatoes were a cold mushy mess. I'd come back for the servers but never the food! Eek!! read more

Our waitress was new and had no training and she had to keep going back to the kitchen to ask questions. She got our lunch orders wrong. My husband ordered NO Cheese on his burger and his came loaded with cheese. My sandwich was supposed to come with cheese and it had none. The food was cold and it should have been hot. This little place appeared closed in the morning, went there for breakfast with a couple of friends, we started to leave and the waitress ran down the street to ask if we wanted to eat, we said yes but you appeared to be closed, she informed us that they were going to open in 20 minutes 7 am just like the sign said, she said they would take our order and get the food right out to us. They were on top of it, the food came right out, it used fresh ingredients, I was very happy with the food, the service and the friendliness. The Branding Iron Restaurant Terrible place. Waitress was very nice. We were the ONLY ONES at the time ordering. The only table there as well Hamburger was well, when we wanted medium rare, pork was beyond dry. It literally looked like it was a day old. Yes they offered to exchange it BUT why should it have to come to that? The manager was told by the waitress and he acted as if he did not care. We will NEVER GO BACK to this place in Williams. This is a non miss vacation spot. A cowboy towns are your thing this is the place to be. So nostalgic, the history alone here is rich. If you dont pay attention though you will get lost. A great hotel find is this place. The people here are very friendly and the food...you wont want to stop eating. But all in all such a wonderful place. We went on April 9th hoping we were going to get the good waitress with the long black braid. No such luck. We got the one with short hair. if you walk in and see a short haired 50ish chunky woman just turn and walk out. She will ruin your dining experience. The experience will change your opinion about the halfway decent food. She acts like its a bother to wait on you and is very rude. If you sit and chit chat she will come back and make you feel as if she wants you to leave. The food is decent and plentiful. The table near us was staying at the restaurant's bed and breakfast and they were talking with us and complained that their room sheets and towels were dirty and that there was no tp. We sat for at least 5 minutes before receiving menus. It took 10 min for someone to bring us coffee. The food was cold when it came. I hate cold eggs! So were the hash brown and under cooked. Toast was hard as a rock. We never got coffee refills and my kids got no juice refills. The table next to us had empty cups during their meal. Then they microwaved each plate before it wa brought out. I wouldn've have believed it until I saw it with my own eyes. Our waitress was apologic, which was a nice gesture that we all appreciated but the promised discount for this infinite wait never reflected on our bill. The washed up blond waitress the other yelper mentioned should apply at the post office and leave service behind or find her calling where social skills are not required. I've been to many restaurants in my day but this is one that takes the cake. We are here for Fourth of July and enjoying our day and had seen all the Cowboys walking up and down the street saying that I need to go to the wild West junction for dinner. Our family of four went there and since it was very busy and no one seated us. We found a table and sat down since some one there said to seat ourselves. 15 minutes later without any waitress or waiter helping us I went and found one. Another 20 minutes later we finally got our pop and water for the kids but no beers for us. We finally just decided to leave because it was singularly the worst service experience I've had at a restaurant in probably 20 years.
