We rode on the WILDTHING jetboat tours our second day in the Dells! It was a blast and the kids loved getting wet! Our captain played adrenaline pumping music for each turn and dip into the water's! We also got a tour of some of the landmarks and learned a thing or two! It definitely kept a smile on our faces the whole ride! 10/10 recommend if you like fast and fun with a little adrenaline rush! Captain Jack was great! Totally worth the money! We were staying about an hour and a half from the Dells but came back the day after our visit b/c Stick @ Asgard Axe & Tap recommended it. You'll get SOAKED so dress appropriately. They do have tubs for you to stick stuff in, that you'd like to keep dry. It is a walk down a gravel incline & back up at the end - I point this out for elderly or for people that might have difficulty with walking. You'll go to the river, on a bus, from the ticket office - nobody in our party realized that until we lined up to go. We'd recommend this to anyone!!! read more

This was a blast! The family did this on our trip to the Dells this week, and loved it. Our tour guide/boat captain, Kenny, was a hoot. We even learned a few historical tid bits about the area. The ride was a good mixture of cruising, spinning, and fast breaking, and was about an hour long. The third row, on our tour, seemed to get the wettest, along with the rows in front and back of them. We sat in the front and still got sprayed from time to time, but were able to duck behind the windshield to keep from getting soaked. There's a short walk down (and up on the way back) a gravel trail to get to the boat dock, but they had plenty of guys on golf carts offering rides to those who needed/wanted them. During my trip to Wisconsin Dells I decided I wanted to take a jet boat ride as its advertised all over town. There are two companies in town that offer a ride on the river. We went with Wildthing because they are ran by the same guys that do the Dells Army Ducks, which we did the day prior. The tour itself was a ton a fun. What really took it over the top was our tour guide. His name was Kenny and he was amazing. He had a lot of great facts and a lot of great jokes. Don't get me wrong, you can tell that some of the tour was definitely scripted. However, when I spoke with Kenny off the boat, he was genuine and very polite. This company must stress customer service because all of the employees we encountered were very accomodating. Typically with most tourist attractions they offer a souvenir photo. This attraction wasn't any different where that's concerned. What separated this attraction from any we've encountered before was they also offered a video option of our entire tour. Keep in mind the tour is about an hour long so there is plenty of video on the flash drive. We had to get this. Don't worry, they preview the video for you before you purchase it. I definitely recommend taking one of these tours! read more

Had a blast! Family and I got on. Know that you will be soaked! If you sit in front behind the glass, or the ends you will be soaked to the bone. Make sure to go on a day it's sunny. If it isn't warm out, you will be freezing. Jake was out guide, he was funny. Had a great choice of music. Don't bother bringing towels with you, unless you put them in the bins. Some people bring towels but, no point in using them, if you to ring it out first. If you have small children who are delicate. I suggest buying the $2 ponchos, sold inside store. My dad bought one, his upper body was ok, but pants down all wet. Bring extra shoes, or wear flip-flops. read more

I love the Wild Thing! Every year when I come to the dells, this ride is always on my to do list. This boat does 360 spins, power stops, and more, with water coming from all sides of the boat! It goes fast and crazy half of the time, and the other half, it goes a little slower, but talks about the different land formations and stuff. Just a quick warning, you will get drenched. I would bring a change of clothes. In addition, they take photos before you get on, so if you want a souvenir, you can buy your photo. Great for kids and adults alike, the Wild Thing is a must do in Wisconsin Dells. read more

Ready to get soaked? Dress for it because you will! This is a must do! So much fun with 360 turns, water coming over the front and the sides! They had upbeat music playing during the fun parts and there are times on the trip they take you through what they call "the dry portion" where it's a slower pace and you get some history and great scenery. There were people of all ages on the trip and all were laughing and screaming with excitement. The entire time you feel safe and you laugh the full hour! The Captain tells jokes and keeps the party going! You get wet and it can be chilly after you are soaked due to the speed/wind. They do have containers for small objects (cells phones, iPad etc) to keep them dry. There are times when it slows down that you can do photos, I kept mine in a plastic bag so I could pull it out when needed for photos. All the coupon books in town offer discounts, so use those to help reduce the cost per person. read more

Took my girlfriend to the army ducks which ended up being a big disappointment. Managed to get discounts after some complaining for the wild thing jet boats. This was definitely a highlight of my trip to the dells. First things first, please know that you are going to get wet. This boat goes fast and has been known to make a splash or two. Because of its strong engines, it powered through the current and was able to get close to some beautiful scenery. The ride goes from speeding down the lake to a sudden stop to get soaked, as well as spins in the water, all while listening to music! Nice part is they provide containers for your belonging so they don't get wet.The slow part of the tour where the boat has slowed down your given information about the area. Before you know it the boat takes off and your getting wet all over again. While on the boat the ride is being taped, unfortunately on my ride the camera fell.
