I took a cruise on the Viking ship with Thelma and Louise (forgot their names) piloting and narrating. It was an entertaining and relaxing tour. Witches Gulch is really neat. The girls knew the history and answered all questions. They have jokes that have been passed down for over a hundred years.this was perfect for me after I hiked for over 4 hours earlier. I recommend this tour for adults. It seems the little kids got bored but that's kids. They will probably remember it.

Breathtaking spot. It is amazing and gorgeous. So much too see. Got brought here on the Original Ducks Boat Tour.

Do not pass up this tour during your visit to Wisconsin Dells. The boat ride, history lesson, and scenic views are extraordinary.

This is by far one of the coolest natural sights to see in the Dells. I've seen it now a few times, and it never gets old. I had the luxury of seeing it yesterday while on a private Dells Boat Tour, so the time constraint that others are complaining about didn't really affect us. We had a very small group (I think there were maybe 10 or 12 of us) and we were let off the boat with no time to return. We really got to just explore at our own pace. That being said, I have visited this place while on a much larger, public tour, where you are surrounded by another 80 or so folks. It might take away from the photographic opportunities, but it doesn't take away from the wonder of what it is. The concession stand is really nice and unexpected, and there are restrooms to use as well, which is nice if you've been on the boat a while. The temperature change is probably the most noticeable things. It is MUCH cooler back in the gulch than it is on the boat. It's cool and refreshing and a nice reprise from the heat. The history behind the spot is displayed on a plaque affixed to the stone wall up near the concession stand as well, so for those of you who don't know much about The Witches Gulch can get some interesting knowledge while you're there as well. Overall, it's a really awesome place to check out and I would highly recommend it if you are ever given the chance!

Witch's Gulch was the first stop on our Original Wisconsin Ducks boat tour where we can walk on foot. The temperatures from the sandstone and canopy of trees was much cooler and was quite pleasant to our warm sunny day. The rock formations are astonishing. Even though this was our second time visiting, I enjoyed it as much as I did a few years ago. It's only a short walk but certainly a must-see when visiting the Dells!

Beautiful, eerie natural sandstone formations. Easy hiking and not too touristy. The entire riverboat trip is 2 hours long and the best part of visiting the Dells.

Central Park, I love you so!…read more I love this place. It is such a great use of land. I was so happy when they started developing it. It's long and narrow shape allows for so many things! I enjoy Fete de Marquette the most of all the festivals/events that take place here. Food, music, a Ferris Wheel! Lots of vendors to browse and even cool activities for the kiddos. 10/10 recommend! I attended the Isthmus Food Cart Fest here, too. Wow that was a BUMMER. I won't get into how much it sucked..... But, it was still a nice set-up at this park. The park also has a skate-park at one end. It's brand new (within the last 2-3 years) and seems to be pretty popular. About midway, there is a really nice brand new restroom facility as well. There is a farmers market weekly in the warm months, too!

RECREATION PARK is also the site of the annual Tractor Pull, and the annual Monroe County Fair. The address of this park is 1625 Butts Avenue. Please also keep in mind, that Tomah is eight miles north of another destination-of-choice in America's midwest, namely, the annual Cranberry Festival in Warrens, WI. I've attended the Tractor Pull and the Cranberry Festival in Warrens, and I've also performed on stage (with a clogging group) at Clark Country Fairground in Kahoka, MO. The Tractor Pull provides majestic machines taking the form of customized tractors, and customized trucks. These machines have multiple engines, which together produce horsepower about 100-times greater than that of a typical family car. To view the numbers, one of the competition tractors can have 4 to 6 super charged V-8 engines, or 2 or 3 Allison aircraft engines, or 3 or 4 turbine engines. These engine combinations produce between 9,000 to 12,000 horsepower. The advantages of attending a tractor pull include, the sheer eye candy of these customized tractors, experiencing at close range the exciting noise and puffing smoke of one of the competition runs, the freedom to mingle around parked tractors before the competition event, and simply being in a crowd in the grandstands where everybody is on edge and excited. Attached are a few of my photographs from one of the tractor pulls in Tomah, WI. My motivation for writing this review includes the following. When I was a teenager, I attended a drag race in Fremont, CA where I saw Don Garlits and Tommy Ivo do the quarter mile with a top speed of just over 200 mph. More recently, I attended a drag race in Sonoma County, where the engines were all rear-mounted, and where the top speed in the quarter mile was just over 300 mph. Over the years, I have attended custom car shows in Oakland Coliseum, in Seattle, in New York City, and at Petersen Automotive Museum in L.A. And then, there are the many drawings of dragsters that I made, between the ages of ten and 16 years of age.

My men's softball league moved to Verona when Bowling Green Recreation Center finally shut down…read morethis year. While excited about the new venue, I was sad to leave a memorable (yet dilapidated) setting. After fours weeks of play at Hometown USA Community Park, I have to say the complex is pretty nice. There is ample parking for the amount of people that come through there. The two softball diamonds (next to the ice arena) are in very nice shape. They don't get chewed up too bad as the night progresses, though in the later games you might get some funny hops through the higher-traffic areas. The fences are long enough that more balls are in play, but it's not impossible to get a home run. I like that challenge. The shelter near those fields houses relatively clean bathrooms. The covered area will be good if we encounter rain - it's a large enough area to hold all of us while a shower passes. Nice. The shelter also houses a concession stand. They are fairly well stocked, but it's "cans only" for beer (no taps or pitchers). Also, they don't pop their own corn. Well, they DO, but it's microwave popcorn. Basically, the concessions are whatever they can buy in cases and sell through the window. It's serviceable, but it could be so much better. For the rest of the enormous complex, I haven't been able to experience any of that. I appears to be just as nice as what I've seen, and people I know enjoy spending their time there for baseball games, their kids' games, etc.
