Poor customer service! We had paid for a 3 hour rental today (9am to noon)...they sent a chase boat out at 11:30 to find us, stating we are overdue. We took the Jetski back promptly, despite having further plans for the last 30 minutes. When we returned we asked the front desk for a refund for the 30 minutes we were charged for, but did not receive. They refused adamantly and continued to argue and speak to us very rudely. By the end, we simply gave up and told them good luck continuing whatever scam you're running. These people have no concern for their clientele or repeat business. With the competitors on the lake, I'd certainly try some other place before this one again. read more

We rented a pontoon, tube, and a lily-pad. We spent the entire day on the lake and had a blast. We had 6 adults and 6 kiddos from 6-12 years of age. The kiddos really enjoyed the tubing, but to my surprise, when we went into a cove, dropped anchor, and threw out the lily pad, they played on it and enjoyed it as much as the tubing. The staff was great on the phone, during the registration and pick up, and when we returned the boat. Definitely a 5-Star experience for my family. The boat was very nice and clean. This place is awesome! The staff were all very friendly and informative. We originally did a blind reservation from 2500 miles away, but upon arriving the lady (I'm sorry I forgot your name, too many cities people, faces!) suggested we try Mirror Lake State Park due to some flooding. It was the best suggestion we could have hoped for, Mirror Lake was beautiful and very peaceful. We got there early and were some of the first ones out on the water, it was like the whole lake was ours! Recommend heading out early to take advantage of the serenity! read more

Experience was great with the boat and renting. Unfortunately getting gas at the end was kind of a nightmare! The way the restaurant is set up for gas is ridiculous. Up and down stairs to pay and they hold your credit card. In the meantime there are other boaters waiting for you to leave and they are yelling because everyone is going to be late getting back to turn in the boat. There had to be a better way- just sayin! Last year, I went with a group of friends and one of the young men helped my crippled friend on the dock and then offered to take a photo of us. We had a group of 8 renting their only 2 doubles, then couple singles. They didn't take any time to make sure seat backs were in correct position for the person using the kayak. Ultimately resulting in a very unsatisfactory experience. Once you get on water and realize that the seat position is NOT correct- you can't easily fix it!!! In the end 2 of the ppl in singles going back in after 5 min. In the kayak because they were so far forward they were taking water in over top of kayak. Very unsatisfying experience! read more

I've been visiting the Dells since I was a little kid, and we've never rented any water vehicles. Such a shame, because my family loved our first experience with Dells Watersports. However, it was actually sort of nice to have a new experience in a town we are so familiar with. :) Before our trip, my family kept loosely discussing the idea of renting either a pontoon or everyone getting their own jet skis, and when we arrived in the Dells, we chose Dells Watersports based on Yelp reviews. Jet skis ended up being everyone's final choice! It'd been a pretty rainy week on and off, but the first day it was sunny and warm, we drove up to Dells Watersports around 12:15 pm. I was surprised there wasn't a long line since it was the first nice day all week, but I think we also got there at a good time, because after we paid for our rentals and were watching the informational video, more and more people started showing up. There were eight of us in our group, so we were paired up in groups of two. Two of the drivers in our group were under the age of 29, so they had to take a water vehicle driving test. The lovely woman behind the desk assured them it wouldn't be difficult, and kind of nudged them along to make sure they passed. Very nice of her. Then, after a short video, we were all taken to a room filled with life vests. We were fitted and brought down to the docks, where our chariots awaited. We were told we could leave our valuables on the dock, or we could put them in the little compartment in the jet ski. The girl down by the docks put us all at ease by explaining the basics of the jet ski before sending us all on our way. We were given an hour on the lake for $90, which I'd assume is fair pricing. I have nothing to compare price-wise, but it was VERY fun and the views of Lake Delton were amazing. My boyfriend and I BOTH fell off within the last few minutes because we were leaning over looking at something on the horizon, but honestly the lake water was very refreshing! Once we finally shimmied our way back up onto the bike, the "jet ski police" (an employee from Dells Watersports who was keeping time) told us it was the end of our hour. The people who work here were so sweet and made us very comfortable before sending us off onto the lake. It was the epitome of the kind of positive experience I always want in the Dells. Oh, and there's an adorable rescue dog, too, named Libby. :) read more

Great family experience overall. We rented two tubing pontoon boats for about 20 or so adults and kids. Everything from the boats themselves (where you can hook up your bluetooth radio to listen to music), to the lake we were on, to the experience with the guy showing us how to use/drive the boats was top notch! Fantastic, fantastic experience. I bought the $25/half-day paddle boards Groupon deal for myself and a friend. It was well worth the money and the one hour drive to the Dells! I cannot rave enough about the staff. The lady at the front desk (I think she was the owner) was super friendly and gave us great recommendations on how to spend our time on the water (go down to the dam and back, then around the lake until we wear ourselves out). She also gave us coupons for 1/2 off appetizers at the Ravina Bar & Grill in case we wanted to stop there for a snack before paddling back. Everyone else who helped us out was extremely friendly as well. I also really appreciated the fact that all the equipment looked extremely well maintained, and that we were pretty much given free reign to do whatever we wanted, however we wanted. In 3.5 hours, we were able to make it around the entire Lake Delton and to the dam twice and back. We didn't find it as tiring as they said it would be, and neither of us are super super athletic. I think we just got bored of the repetitive motion... Anyway, this is a great place for any novice paddle boarder because the still water makes it easy to find your balance quickly. I'd definitely recommend this if you are looking for a fun day trip in the Midwest. (: A few tips: A) The place is easy to overshoot on Wisconsin Dells Parkway. If you hit the theme parks, you have gone too far - it's literally right on the corner of Wisconsin Dells Parkway and Monroe. The easiest way to find it is to turn off of Wis Dell Pkwy and onto Adams Street. You'll see Dells Watersports on your right. B) Bring a cooler and fill it with your choice of snacks and beverages (for those 21+, I'd recommend a 6-pack for added entertainment). You'll be able to strap the cooler down on the front of your board. C) The boards are super stable (you have to be a huge klutz to even come close to falling off), but don't be a fool and bring your non-waterproof electronics with you. You will regret it. D) That being said, if you do have a waterproof camera, bring it!!! There are some great photo ops. (: read more

My boyfriend and I rented a pair of kayaks here last year. I believe we got them BOGO free with a SplashPass card, which means we spent a whopping $12. Neither of us had ever been kayaking before and we had an absolute blast! The lady at the front desk was very helpful and kind. A younger kid helped us get into the kayaks, again extremely friendly. We only had them for an hour, so we took them to the dam and back... beautiful little trip! I will include some photos. Truly a nice break from the big waterparks, rollercoasters, etc.... and great even for a first timer! We are taking the kids this year and feel confident they will love it as well (ages 6 & 8).
