She looked at a bunch of stuff and picked Asgard Axe Throwing. Not for the axes but for the unlimited arcade in the basement! Located off what I'd guess to be downtown Dells on Oak St, Asgard is pretty easy to find. It's next to the fire department and there's a metered parking lot directly across the street. We got there when they opened so we purchased our cards at the bar upstairs. $20 for an hour or $25 for unlimited. No brainer. Gimme unlimited! The arcade is not the biggest but it's mighty! Driving games, pinball, rifle games and retro. The Mario Kart and Big Buck hunting cabinets were standouts. And everything worked perfectly. I can say we beat X-Men in two different states! We were there for about two hours and played everything we wanted multiple times. It never got busy when we were there. We had a great time at the Asgard Underground Arcade. The $25 unlimited is definitely the way to go if you're there. Even if it gets a little busy, chances are there's something you'll want to play while you wait for another game to open up. Check it out. Highly recommended!

We just did their Great Outdoors room a couple of weeks ago, and what can I say? It was top notch and a lot of fun. Many of the escape rooms we've done at other places just make you solve a dozen puzzles that are all similar. Solve a numeric code. Solve another numeric code. Boring. But, this place's escape rooms have a much wider variety of types of puzzles to solve, and it's much more fun than just solving one number code after another. You have to figure out how to open one room, which leads to another room, which leads to another room, each room with different types of puzzles to solve. We still needed a few clues here and there, but, overall, the puzzles were tough, but not unsolvable. I don't want to give away too many details that would ruin the puzzles for readers. I'll just say that the rooms are quite clever, and full of nice surprises. We are in this town only about once a year, but, you can bet that we'll be back again next year. This bunch of escape rooms at this location is superior to the ones we tried at a different place up the road from a different organization. I think this outfit has the best escape rooms in the Dells.

There are…read moretons of interactive stations like a farm, 50s diner, grocery store that mimics the town Festival Foods, camping theme, firestation, police station, dress up, circus area, art & more! Everything seems to be safely built, the ceilings are so tall, giving the space a bright & very airy feel. There is a space baby area with toys for the littlest ones under 1yo, who are free. I suggest getting a family pass for the year if you have more than one child and/or plan on going multiple times because the price can add up. It doesn't get too loud on most days. Great parking. Any cons? Not really, other than investing in the pass to save. The staff are generally kind & encourage parents to play with their kids, but I will say that sometimes I come here as a mom who needs to take a break & sit down without my phone. If my toddler is playing with her friends I think that is reasonable if she is being safe & not disrupting anyone. It could use a good scrub-down but the center is very large so I'm sure it's not the easiest to keep up on at all times. Overall, the Children's Museum is a blessing to have in Baraboo to beat the winter Midwest blues. There is a fun theme for any boy or girl in an elementary age or younger. It's loaded with buttons to push, creative coloring & things to try on. It seems like a fun & easy way to throw a small birthday bash for your kiddo & a small group of friends without breaking your bank! Stop by & see for yourself!
