Solid taco spot. Came with some friends on a Friday during happy hour (3-6pm) which is pretty awesome - $6 classic margarita and select tacos for $3.50. Fiesta! Margarita was flavorful, strong and came out quickly. For tacos, I went with HH specials: chicken tinga, beef bulgogi, and KFT (Korean fried tofu). They were all delicious but I think they gave me a bit of an upset tummy afterwards. My friends tried a few other tacos and gave thumbs up. I'd love to come back and try the chicken and waffles taco. We also split chips and guac; good portions, though chips did not seem made in-house. We sat outside and really enjoyed it. Shaded seating, plenty of it with one half dog friendly. The decor inside is top notch and one to emulate. Service was attentive. This is an update to what I wrote previously and my sentiment towards this taco joint hasn't changed. This place although it's not necessarily the best place for this cuisine is a solid place where you can enjoy food/service/ambience equally good and decent where you won't walk out of it being disappointed. Today what I noticed was the portion size of the three tacos I ordered from the happy hour menu. On the small corn tortillas, three meats were generously placed nicely and beautifully. They all tasted good to the point where I simply couldn't find anything negative to say about the tacos (not that I was hoping to complain about them!!) I also got me the Guacamole and Chips along with my three tacos. This, however, wasn't as good as I thought would be. The guacamole lacked a bit of flavor; it also lacked a bit of creaminess where it tasted a bit dry. As this was my mid day late lunch or early evening meal between some businesses I was taking care of in the very neighborhood this afternoon, its convenient location perfectly served my needs. As a matter of fact, this has restaurant been my go to casual taco place I can easily walk in on any given day/time for the last several months (this place has a location closer to my DTC house and yet I am more comfortable with dining at this Berkeley location to be frank.) Once I was done eating, I heard a friendly "Thanks for coming in today" goodbye word uttered by the male bartender. Service is solid here. read more

i think we were the first customers in. our waitress was super nice and attentive. the decor was sooo cute and i was very impressed with how intricate a lot of it was. flowers hanging from every inch of the ceiling and jus a very cool vibe. four of us got the taco trio and the standouts were the chicken and waffle taco and the buffalo skirt steak. do NOT sleep on the buffalo skirt steak. would definitely recommend. read more

In order that we liked them: 1. Ahi taco 2. Skirt steak 3. Bulgogi (Korean bbq) 4. Pastor 5. Shrimp esquite 6. Fried fish Chips and Guac were solid too. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is solely due to price for portion size. The range was $4.50-6.50 per taco, and $9 for chips + guac, have to pay extra for salsa. I think this is a common price range for "gourmet" tacos, but each taco is on the smaller side. Portion wise - I think you'd need about 3 tacos per person to feel full, could maybe get away with 2 if you're not that hungry. read more

We stopped by during Denver Restaurant Week for the first time. The interior has a super fun design! We tried the salad, chips and guac/salsa, elote fritters, chicken tinga taquitos, chicken tinga taco, carnitas taco, and churro stack. The churros were one of the best things I have ever eaten! I will be dreaming of them for a while and would totally come back for those. Everything else was tasty too. My husband and I went here for dinner over the weekend since we had a deal in the Denver Eat and Drink passbook (buy two, get two free tacos). We showed up in time to get an order of the bolgogi nachos in for happy hour and these were delicious! Very filling portion and the meat was marinated and flavored well. I got a strawberry margarita on happy hour and it was tasty (I don't love tequila but it was a good drink). For the tacos, in the order of our favorites, we got the Shrimp Esquite, Buffalo Skirt Steak, chicken and waffles (a little sweet), and the Nopal. I wish we had the option to choose either flour or corn tortilla with each taco (I like corn but my husband prefers flour). Overall the service was super attentive (although I was a little bummed when the server grabbed my drink to clean up the table a bit but I wasn't finished). The tacos were very good, the salsa or sauce used in them was quite sweet and yummy. I wish the tacos came with two tortillas because one of mine feel apart pretty quickly. The tacos were also a good portion size, I felt satisfied after my two tacos and half the churro. The churro is filled with Bavarian cream which comes out very hot so be careful or you might burn your tongue like I almost did lol. The ambiance is nice and fun, it was relatively not busy on a Saturday early evening but quickly got more busy by 7pm. I a that they had the AC going even though they are also open to the patio. This is our second time going to wild taco and it was not as good as the first. We sat at the bar again and service was not great. We had a different bartender and she was very slow on service (she didn't seem to want to be there). It was very hard to get her attention to get orders in/ask for anything else. We ordered queso and each of us had 2 tacos (highly recommend the shrimp taco!). It took forever for the food to come out and when it did the food was cold. It was pretty apparent she forgot about our food and it was sitting under a lamp for a while. The bartender was very distracted by her phone and was also eating while serving customers. The eating while serving really grossed us out since she wasn't washing her hands. The group next to us was also pretty frustrated with her service during their dining experience. We do plan to go back since they have a couple great tacos. But we definitely won't be sitting at the bar if the same bartender is on service. read more

Coming down from Northern CO, it was well worth it! Having dinner here was fantastic, started it with nachos which were amazing. The cocktails all sounded so delicious and will have to indulge next time. Reason being they also have a brunch menu as well as happy hour! Our server was friendly and our tacos came quick. Solid new taco spot nearby! My husband had gone to the governors park location a few times with a friend that lived in the area so I was excited to finally get to try Wild Taco at their new location. We mostly ordered off of the happy hour menu but each got a taco from the regular menu. The marg and queso fundido were both fine but probably not something I'd get again. My husband makes excellent margs and I realized I just prefer regular queso over queso fundido! As for the tacos, I ordered the rajas con queso (veggie), shrimp esquite, carnitas, and bulgogi. I love a good street taco because they're a few bites and you can sample several. 3 tacos would have been more than enough since they pack them full! All the tacos were good in they're own way but my favs were surprisingly the veggie taco and the shrimp taco. Who don't love a great photo op???! I got take out from Wild Taco which is right next to Flytco on 38th. You can order and bring it over to Flytco. I ordered the fish taco, Buffalo chicken, carne, and steak. My husband and I demolished them. They were so delish and full of flavor and filling. We were so hungry and enjoying them I didn't get a photo to share The Buffalo was a bit too spicy for me but the rest were amazing. Our friends got the ahi tuna nacho and said they were great. There were very large chunks of tuna and avocado. Everything was very fresh. Also, they are big on allergies. My husband is allergic to shrimp so they made sure to inform me that the Buffalo chicken taco and fish taco are fried in the same oil as shrimp. Therefore, he couldn't eat either. read more
